Florence R. Parker
Florence R. Parker, 91, a resident of Stamford, Conn., until moving to Danbury four years ago, died Saturday at the Pope John Paul Center for Healthcare in Danbury.
Mrs. Parker was the wife of the late Martin Stanley Parker.
She was born in Stamford, Feb. 26, 1906, a daughter of Charles and Caroline Barnes.
Mrs. Parker had been a lifelong member of St. John's Church in Stamford.
Her survivors include a son, Robert M. Parker of New Milford; a step-grandson; and two step-granddaughters.

Robert S. Holzman
Robert S. Holzman, 90, author, editor and retired professor of tax law, died Jan. 23 at his home in Danbury.
Mr. Holzman lived at Carlyle Road, Candlewood Vista in Danbury. He was the husband of the late Eleanore G. Holzman.
He was born in Paterson, N.J., on Nov. 18, 1907, a son of Samuel and Lillian Hamburger Holzman.
After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, he went on to earn his master's degree and doctorate from New York University.
During his career, Mr. Holzman was a professor of tax law at the NYU Graduate School of Business and also served as the NYU budget director. From 1973 to 1980, he was an accounting professor at the University of Connecticut.
Among the numerous books that he wrote are: Corporate Reorganizations: Their Federal Tax Status; Guide to Pension and Profit Sharing Plans; Stormy Ben Butler; General Baseball Doubleday; The Romance of Firefighting; The Tax on Accumulated Earnings; and many, many others.
Mr. Holzman also served as editor of the 15 volume Tax Practitioners Library, co-editor of Big Business Methods for the Small Business, and contributing editor to Bottom Line Business. He was also a member of the editorial board of Taxation for Accounts.
He was past president of the Federal Tax Forum and the Civil War Round Table in New York City. He was a member of the American History Association, The Financial Executives Institute and the Estate Planners Council. He was also a member of Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma.
There are no immediate survivors.

Pasquale Corvino
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Pasquale Corvino on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury.
Mr. Corvino, of 9 Albers Road, Danbury, died Saturday at the Glen Hill Convalescent Center.
He was the husband of Concetta Querques Corvino. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lena A. Corvino Dixon.
Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery.
The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.'
Charles H. Buhrman
Charles H. Buhrman, 90, a retired manufacturing engineer and the father of Richard T. Buhrman of Danbury, died Saturday at his home in Norwalk, Conn.
A resident of Norwalk for more than 45 years, Mr. Buhrman was the husband of the late Winifred Buhrman.
He was born in Waynesboro, Pa., Feb. 6, 1908, a son of Charles and Mary Jane Wiles Buhrman.
Before his retirement, Mr. Buhrman was employed by the Perkin-Elmer Corporation.
He was a life member of the the Knights of Columbus Council #46 and a member of the Norwalk Retired Men's Club. He served as a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross and for FISH.
Mr. Buhrman enjoyed bowling and had bowled for Perkin-Elmer and Norwalk Senior Bowling.
Besides his son in Danbury, Mr. Buhrman is survived by another two sons, Charles S. Buhrman of Freemont, N.H., and William J. Buhrman of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; two daughters, Winifred Reid of Norwalk and Patricia Szlachetka of Derby, Conn.; a brother; nine sisters; 17 grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and his fiancee, Mary J. Foley of Norwalk.

Florence E. Maron
Florence E. Maron, 81, a retired nurse and teacher, died Sunday at her home at 27 Church Hill Road, Newtown.
Miss Maron was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 15, 1916, a daughter of Dr. August G. and Mary R. Donahue Maron.
She received her degree as a registered nurse from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Elmira, N.Y. She later received her bachelor's and master's degrees from St. John's University in New York.
A nurse for more than 50 years, Miss Maron was on the nursing staff at St. John's Hospital, Long Island City, N.Y.
After moving to Newtown in 1967, she taught nursing at Bridgeport University, the Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing and Mattatuck Community College in Waterbury.
Miss Maron was a daily communicant at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. She was also the founder of the Rosary Group at the church.
Her survivors include a sister, Genevieve Maron of Newtown; a brother, August G. Maron Jr.; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Joseph I. O'Donnell
Joseph I. O'Donnell, 67, the former owner of the O'Donnell Service Station in Bethel, died Saturday at Danbury Hospital.
Mr. O'Donnell, of 1 Ridge Road, Danbury, was the husband of Barbara Durkin O'Donnell.
A lifetime area resident, he was born in Danbury, May 13, 1930, a son of William F. and Mae Falls O'Donnell.
A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. O'Donnell served with the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of St. Peter Church in Danbury.
Besides his wife, Mr. O'Donnell is survived by two sons, Joseph T. O'Donnell of Danbury and Robert W. O'Donnell of New Milford; a daughter, Diane Refosco of Warner Robins, Ga.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Norman Boring
Norman ``Mike'' Boring, 76, a retired commercial airline captain, died Sunday at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Mr. Boring, of 25 Lookout Point, Ridgefield, was the husband of Mary C. Bernard Boring.
He was born in Flagler, Colo., Sept. 17, 1921, a son of O.B. and Sarah Vertrice Boring. He was a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado.
A veteran of World War II, he served as a P51 fighter pilot with the 529th Fighter Squadron stationed in Burma, China and India.
Before his retirement in 1981, Mr. Boring had been a pilot with United Airlines for 36 years.
He was a member of the Airline Pilots Association, the Ridgefield Men's Club, and the Ridgefield Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Besides his wife, Mr. Boring is survived by a son, Michael Boring of Montour, N.Y.; five daughters, Sue Ellen Oblom of Revere, Mass., Martha Northway of Bakersfield, Calif., Jeanne McMahon of Andover, Mass., Jacalyn Curtsinger of Northport, Fla., and Katheryn Oakland of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a sister, Tessie Schaeffer of Missouri; and 23 grandchildren.

Eileen A. Murphy
Eileen A. McNamara Murphy, 86, a Danbury native and a retired nurse, died Saturday at the Maefair Convalescent Home, Trumbull, Conn.
A Danbury resident for most of her life, Mrs. Murphy formerly lived at Harvard Road. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Murphy Sr.
She was born in Danbury, Nov. 22, 1911, a daughter of Patrick and Jane McCooey McNamara. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and the Danbury Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Murphy worked as a nurse for many years.
She was a member of St. Peter Church, Danbury.
Her survivors include a son, Robert J. Murphy Jr. of Ridgefield; two daughters, Nancy Sabados of Huntington, Conn., and Kathy Leary of Palm Coast, Fla.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph J. Schult
Ralph J. Schult, 88, a retired machinist, died Saturday at his home.
An area resident for most of his life and a Danbury resident for more than 55 years, Mr. Schult lived at 37 Washington Ave., Danbury. He was the husband of the late Helen Bozek Schult.
He was born in Beacon, N.Y., Aug. 23, 1909, a son of Arnold D. and Mary Ann Leavitt Schult. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School.
Before his retirement in 1975, Mr. Schult had worked for many years at the Bullard Company in Bridgeport.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and the Danbury Senior Center.
His survivors include three nieces, Regina Bresson of Newtown, Marion Marcinek of Palm Bay, Fla., and Elaine S. Johnson of New Preston, Conn.; a nephew, Joseph A. Marcinek of Bozrah, Conn.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Evelyn Degnan
Evelyn Judd Degnan of 16 Bee Brook Road, Washington, Conn., Depot area, died yesterday at New Milford Hospital. She was 84.
Mrs. Degnan was the widow of Frank Degnan.
She was born in Waterbury, July 20, 1913, a daughter of the late Leroy and Esther (Seastrom) Judd. She attended the former Leavenworth High School in Waterbury and the graduated with the class of 1935 from the former Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She lived and worked in the Washington area for the past 50 years.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Degnan retired from the operating room staff of New Milford Hospital in 1975 after 19 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Darby Wright of Washington and Maureen Degnan of San Rafael, Calif., and two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are private. Arrangements by the Colonial Funeral Home of New Milford.'
Joan Sherwood Natale
A private memorial service for Joan Sherwood Natale was conducted Jan. 30 at the First Congregational Church in New Milford with the Rev. Michael Moran officiating.
Mrs. Natale, 61, formerly of New Milford, died Dec. 27 at her home in Port St. Lucie, Fla. She was the wife of John Natale.
Born in New Milford, Nov. 24, 1936, she was a daughter of Kenneth P. Sherwood of Vero Beach, Fla., and the late Florence Kelly Sherwood.
She was a graduate of New Milford High School.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by two sons, Kevin Keeler of New Milford and Scott Keeler of Southbury; a brother, Kenneth Sherwood Jr. of Stonington, Conn.; a sister, Dianne Sherwood Bongiorno of New Milford; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Mark Keeler.'
Robert Gore
Robert Gore, a Danbury native, died yesterday at Wilton Meadows Nursing Home. He was 84.
Mr. Gore was the husband of Stella (Peck) Gore.
He was born Feb. 23, 1913, a son of the late John J. and Gertrude (Spooner) Gore. He was a resident of Danbury for almost all of his life.
He was member of Carpenter's Union Local 210 in Stamford for 50 years, and, before retiring in 1969, he was active in union organizations at both local and state levels.
For 22 years, he was a school crossing guard at Danbury High School and at other crossings.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen L. (Hyatt) Gore, and three sons, John, Roland and Donald Gore.
Besides Mrs. Gore, he is survived by three sons, Robert A. Gore Jr. of Stockbridge, Vt., Ronald H. Gore of New Milford and Richard C. Gore of Bethel; four daughters, Helen L. Rotella of Bethel, Beverly J. Toth of Trenton, Mich., Patricia E. Bickelhaupt of Danbury and Linda A. Mazza of Bethel; 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
