Evelyn Warburton
Evelyn J. Warburton, 76, a former Danbury resident, died Sunday at the Citrus Health and Rehab Center in Inverness, Fla.
A resident of Florida for the past five years, Mrs. Warburton had lived in Danbury for more than 20 years. She lived in Dallas, Texas, before moving to Florida. She was the wife of James E. Warburton.
She was born in Fishkill, N.Y., on July 25, 1921.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Pamela Alice Munson of Orlando, Fla., Christine Evelyn Warburton of Minneapolis, Minn., and Colleen Lacey Dunlop of Dallas, Texas; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, James E. Warburton II, in 1992.

Rose DelPriore
Rose DelPriore, 91, a resident of the Putnam Lake section of Patterson, died Sunday at the Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y.
Mrs. DelPriore was the wife of the late James V. DelPriore.
She was born in Newark, N.J., July 13, 1906, a daughter of Joseph and Julia Giordano Giordano. She was educated in Newark schools. She lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to Putnam Lake.
In Putnam Lake, Mrs. DelPriore was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Rosary Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church and the Sacred Heart Senior Citizens.
Her survivors include four sons, Anthony of Palm Coast, Fla., Joseph of West Palm Beach, Fla., John of Brentwood, L.I., N.Y., and Michael of Valley Stream, N.Y.; two daughters, Nancy Ward of Surfside Beach, S.C., and Rosemarie Romano of Deer Park, L.I., N.Y.; two brothers, Dominick Giordano of Tom's River, N.J., and Arnold Giordano of Springfield, N.J.; two sisters, Louise Mineo of New Jersey, and Nancy Calella of Belleville, N.J.; 23 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vincentina Burchala, in 1981.

Rita H. Grasseler
Rita H. Gallagher Grasseler, 82, a Danbury native and lifelong resident, died Sunday at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Grasseler lived at 8 Clearbrook Road in Danbury. She was the widow of Francis Grasseler.
Born in Danbury, March 31, 1915, she was a daughter of Peter and Mary Costello Gallagher. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Her survivors include two sons, Paul Grasseler of Sherman and Robert Grasseler of Danbury; three daughters, Jean Grasseler of Branford, Conn., Mary Ellen Badaracco of Brookfield; and Gail Grasseler with whom she made her home in Danbury; a brother, John T. Gallagher of Bethel; two sisters, Kathleen Faust and Emma Colley, both of Redding; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret Thomas
Margaret Elizabeth Lang Thomas, 85, a retired executive secretary, died Sunday at Danbury Hospital.
A Bethel resident since 1941, Mrs. Thomas lived at Plumtrees Road. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Thomas.
She was born in New York City, Jan. 5, 1913, a daughter of Anton and Margaret Doppmann Lang. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and the Mary Breen Private Secretarial School.
Early in her career, she worked for the U.S. Treasury Department and IBM in New York City until her 1939 marriage. She was an executive secretary at Gilbert and Bennett in Georgetown for 25 years before her 1979 retirement.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the National Secretaries Association and the AARP. She was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Bethel and the Ladies Guild at the church.
She is survived by a son, Gary J. Thomas of Otis, Mass.; two daughters, Barbara M. Thomas of Bethel and Victoria V. Hardy of Danbury; three sisters, Viki Wear of Sarasota, Fla., Lillian Mortara and Alice Dablem, both of North Merrick, N.Y.; four grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Elmer LeViness
Elmer C. ``Sam'' LeViness, 77, an estimator for a sprinkler, heating and plumbing company and a former New Fairfield resident, died March 16 in Florida.
Mr. LeViness, a resident of Florida since 1982, lived at Tarpon Avenue in Ormond Beach.
He was born in Hartsdale, N.Y.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. LeViness served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Sargent of Madison, Maine, and Barbara Torres of Manchester, Maine; a brother, William LeViness of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Ethel Vermilyea of Kitty Hawk, N.C., and Muriel Krouse of Chatham, N.Y.; and his companion for the past 16 years, Eleanor Slater.

Robert D. Hagadorn
Robert D. Hagadorn, 86, a former resident of Sandy Hook, died Saturday at the Cedar Lane Rehabilitation Center in Waterbury, where he had lived since 1992.
Mr. Hagadorn was the husband of the late Dorothy Stenhouse Hagadorn.
He was born in New York City, on Jan. 10, 1912. He had lived at Longview Road in Sandy Hook from 1978 until he moved to Waterbury in 1992.
Mr. Hagadorn is survived by a stepson, James Hibbard of Hoboken, N.J.; and a stepdaughter, Sue Hibbard, also of Hoboken.
SERVICES: Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., graveside services in St. Ann's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Sayville, N.Y.

Grace Salkeld
Grace Preston Salkeld, 86, a retired nurse and a resident of Danbury for the past several years, died Saturday in Danbury.
Mrs. Salkeld was the wife of Maurice Raymond Salkeld who she married on Jan. 24, 1941, in Miami, Fla.
She was born in Troy, Pa., on Jan. 4, 1912. She was a 1933 graduate of the Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing.
During her career as a registered nurse, Mrs. Salkeld worked at New York Hospital, Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and finally, until her 1977 retirement, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Fla.
A decorated veteran of World War II, she served in the Army Nurse Corps, 165th General Hospital, European Theater.
Besides her husband, her survivors include a son, Patrick Preston Salkeld of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters, Susan Salkeld Tedesco of White Plains, N.Y., and Jane Diane Salkeld of East Rockaway, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
SERVICES: Saturday at 11 a.m., a Memorial Service at St. Bartholomew's Church, White Plains.

Ida Kolodziej
Ida Hinckley Kolodziej, 75, a retired inspector and the mother of Timothy Kolodziej of Danbury, died Saturday at her home in Coventry, Conn.
A resident of Coventry since 1985, Mrs. Kolodziej was the wife of the late Ludwig T. Kolodziej.
She was born in Suffield, Conn., June 4, 1922, a daughter of Alvah and Dora Robinson Hinckley.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Kolodziej was employed at Deknatal.
Besides her son in Danbury, Mrs. Kolodziej is survived by another son, Thomas Kolodziej of Coventry; three sisters; three brothers; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph Giuliano
Ralph A. Giuliano of 16 Fox Hollow Road, New Fairfield, died Monday at Danbury Hospital. He was 53.
Mr. Giuliano was the husband of Jeanne L. Nichols Giuliano.
Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., July 5, 1944, he was a son of the late Anthony and Antoinette Sunzone Giuliano. He was reared in Mount Vernon and graduated from high school in Tuckahoe, N.Y. He received his degree from SUNY, the state university in New York, at Farmingdale.
A graphic designer, he worked at the Schlumberger-Doll Research Co. of Ridgefield for the past 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1971 and moved to Southbury in 1973. He was formerly of Eastchester, N.Y.
He was a past president of the New Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey Giuliano of New Fairfield; a daughter, Alexis Scocozza of New Fairfield; a sister, Nina Servodidio of Radnor, Pa.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Franklin Nichols Jr.
Franklin H. Nichols Jr. of Guilford, father of Franklin H. Nichols III of Washington, Conn., and Louise Morse Nichols of New Milford, died March 18 while vacationing with his wife, Joy Hallock Nichols, in Boca Grande, Fla. He was 74.
Besides his wife and two local children, he is survived by two other children, five stepchildren, 21 grandchildren and a sister. His first wife, Louise Newell Nichols, the mother of his four children, died in 1969.

Arthur Carapola
Arthur M. Carapola of Brewster, N.Y., died yesterday at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y. He was 83.
Mr. Carapola was the husband of Lucy Ferrara Carapola, whom he married June 23, 1951. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., May 14, 1914, a son of Angelo and Josephine Cavello Carapola. He attended Brooklyn schools, served the Army during World War II and worked for 29 years at Charles Pfizer & Co. in Brooklyn, retiring as a chemical operator in 1977. Formerly of Millbrook, N.Y., he moved to Brewster nine years ago.
He was a member of Guiding Star Council No. 112, Knights of Columbus, in the Bronx and St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur of Pleasantville, N.Y., and Robert of Brewster; a brother, Alfred of Florida; four sisters, Yolanda Lisa and Lucy Squillace, both of Long Island, N.Y., Adeline Croce of Florida and Vera DeFebio of Brooklyn; and five grandchildren.

Alda Mulcahy
Alda Mulcahy of Heritage Village, Southbury, died yesterday at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck.
Mrs. Mulcahy was born in Yonkers, N.Y., the daughter of the late Dr. Frederick and Amy Seitz Kitson. She graduated from the Moravian Seminary for Girls in Bethlehem, Pa., and lived in Yonkers until 1973, when she moved to Southbury. She was a member the Church of the Epiphany in Southbury and the Pomperaug chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Woodbury.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Mulcahy.

Nicholas Dohan
Nicholas Dohan of 198 Main St., Danbury, died Monday at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was 80.
Mr. Dohan was born in Peekskill, N.Y., Dec. 4, 1917, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Fallat Dohan. He attended local schools and worked at various local hat shops until his retirement. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army Second Armored Division in the European Theater of War.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Carey of St. Petersburg, Fla., four children and several nieces and nephews.

James Carlo
Members of Water Witch Hose Co. No. 7 will meet outside Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, at 6 p.m. today to pay their respects to James Carlo, a lieutenant and life member of the fire company.
Mr. Carlo died Sunday at Glen Hill Convalescent Center in Danbury at the age of 74.
