Helen Truchsess
Helen Frances Farrell Truchsess of Stevens Street, Danbury, died Monday at Danbury Hospital. She was 72.
Mrs. Truchsess was the wife of Walter R. Truchsess.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Francis and Josephine Klemm Farrell. She had lived in Danbury since 1966. Mrs. Truchsess was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Danbury.
Besides her husband of 50 years, she is survived by four sons: Kevin J. Truchsess of Brookfield, William F. Truchsess of Carlsbad, Calif., John P. Truchsess of Newtown, and Richard S. Truchsess of Santa Maria, Calif.; a brother, John Farrell of Brooklyn; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Veronica Geraci
Veronica H. Geraci, of Heritage Village in Southbury, died Monday at her home. She was 83.
Mrs. Geraci was the wife of Anthony L. Geraci.
She was born in New York City on Sept. 22, 1914, a daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Sullivan) Massimine. She was a retired secretary who worked with the Continental Insurance Co. in New York. Formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Heritage Village 14 years ago. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Besides her husband of 54 years, she is survived by a son, Vincent A. Geraci of Deluth, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Hiltrun Ferretti
Hiltrun Ferretti of Blackberry Road, Danbury, died Tuesday at Glen Hill Convalescent Center, Danbury. She was 56.
Mrs. Ferretti was the wife of Richard A. Ferretti of Danbury.
She was born in Dorheim, Germany, on Oct. 6, 1941, a daughter of the late Ernest and Elfriede Keil. Schooled in Germany, she moved to the United States in 1970, and lived in Danbury since that time.
She was a machine operator for the Danbury Square Box Company, before becoming ill.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Andreas Tatzel, a daughter, Loni Hartman, a brother and three sisters. All live in Germany. Four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Guy Mankin
Guy Mankin of Kent, Conn., a noted engineer, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford from injuries he obtained in a Dec. 2 car accident in Kent. He was 77.
Mr. Mankin was the husband of Elizabeth Helen Salembier Mankin.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Sept. 9, 1920, a son of late Guy M. and Anne Davis Mankin.
Mr. Mankin spent his early childhood in Cuba and Brazil. He then attended school in Atlanta, Ga., and later graduated from Georgia Tech with an advanced degree in engineering in 1941.
He was a veteran of World War II, during which he served as a chief engineer in the U.S. Merchant Marines. After the war, he was worked as a mechanical engineer with the L.J. Wing Co. in New Jersey.
In 1953 he moved to Kent. He then became president of Mankin Associates, president of the Kent Water Co. and president of the Dover Plains Water Co., Dover Plains, N.Y. He developed the Kent Hills Condominiums on Main Street in Kent and he was a partner with his wife in Elizabeth Mankin Antiques.
He was a past president of Kent Library Association, a past president of the Parent Teacher Association, a longtime Justice of the Peace in Kent and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Kent. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Guy M. Mankin III of Kent, John Mankin of Warren and Andrew Mankin of Great Barrington, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.

Ann Coffin
Ann Woodford Coffin, of 221 Ramapoo Road, Ridgefield, died Monday at the Glen Hill Convalescent Center, Danbury. She was 69.
Mrs. Coffin was the widow of J. Gordon Coffin.
She was born in Ridgefield on Dec. 19, 1928, a daughter of Dr. Francis B. and Julia R. Smith Woodford. A lifelong resident of Ridgefield, she attended Ridgefield schools and was a retired home health aid with the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association.
She was a member of the American Orchid Society, the National Audubon Society and the American Association of Retired Persons. She served as an eucharistic minister at St. Mary's Church in Ridgefield.
Survivors include a son, Barry S. Davies of Ridgefield; two daughters, Denise Gjerswald of Tampa, Fla., and Christina Gast of Lutz, Fla.; a sister, Joan Russo of New York City; and two grandchildren.

Florence Juleson
Florence D. Juleson of Newtown, formerly of Norwalk, died Saturday at Ashlar of Newtown. She was 95.
Mrs. Juleson was born in New York City on March 8, 1902, a daughter of late Richard and Fannie Hanover Dornheimer.
She was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church and a past Worthy Matron of the Ophia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Juleson was predeceased by her first husband, Herman K. Ruhlmann, her second husband, Clifford F. Juleson Sr., and her stepson, Raymond Juleson.
Survivors include three sons, William Ruhlmann of Oviedo, Fla., Walter Ruhlmann of Bradenton, Fla., and Herman Ruhlmann Jr. of Ledyard; a stepson Clifford Juleson Jr. of Wilton; three stepdaughters, Beverly Gajnos of San Antonio, Texas, Cheryl Dickey of Butler, Pa., and Betty Finch of Zeeland, Mich.; two nieces, a nephew, 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Anthony Fratangelo
Anthony Fratangelo of Chatham Court, Brookfield, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital. He was 92.
Mr. Fratangelo was the husband of Josephine H. Golio Fratangelo.
He was born in Italy on June 18, 1905, a son of Pasquale and Caterina Fratangelo. Moving to the United States at the age of 7, he settled in New York City, where he was reared and educated.
He moved to the Bronx, N.Y., in 1932 and to Brookfield six years ago.
He was a produce manager for A&P stores in New York for 50 years, retiring in 1971, but continuing to work part time for the grocery company until the age of 80. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Brookfield.
Besides his wife of 70 years, he is survived by a daughter, Catherine R. Gramling of Brookfield; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Raymond Ericson
Raymond A. Ericson of Laurel Lane, Sherman, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital. He was 82.
Mr. Ericson was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Aug. 28, 1915, a son of Albert and Inge Ericson. He graduated from the University of Chicago. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was the managing editor of Musical America Magazine before becoming music editor of The New York Times, where he worked for 15 years before retiring in 1980.
He is survived by a longtime friend, Frank Milburn, with whom he made his home, and a cousin.

Col. Paul Seifert
Retired Col. Paul F. Seifert of Norwalk, a fighter pilot formerly of New Milford, died Tuesday at Norwalk Hospital. He was 74.
Col. Seifert was the husband of Judith White Seifert.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 23, 1923, a son of the late Frank and Mabel Schaeffer Seifert. Formerly of New Milford, he lived in Norwalk for the past 12 years.
A retired colonel in the U.S. Air Force, he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later served as a commander of the Air National Guard in New York. After retiring from military service in 1971, he worked as a tester for SNET in Norwalk, Westport and Danbury.
He was a member of the Retired Officers Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by six sons, Paul F. Seifert Jr. of New Milford, Peter E. Seifert of West Redding, Michael J. Seifert of Norwalk, Steven J. Seifert of New Milford, David J. Farrell of Westbrook and Eric S. Farrell of Fairfield; two daughters, Laura A. Farrell and Lisa F. Montaine, both of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mary B. Berry
Mary B. Berry, 90, a native of New Milford, died Monday at the Golfview Nursing Home in Florida.
She moved to St. Petersburg from New Milford in 1956.
In St. Petersburg, Miss Berry was a secretary at the former First National Bank. She was also a violinist at the former First Congregational Church.
Her survivors include a niece and a grandnephew, Mary L. Almquist and Randall E. Almquist, both of St. Petersburg.
The E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home and Cremation Services of St. Petersburg is in charge of arrangements.
William Carnicke
William Joseph Carnicke of Upper Church Hill Road, Washington, Conn., died Sunday at his home. He was 74.
Mr. Carnicke was the husband of Toini Hill Carnicke.
He was born in Washington on July 11, 1923, a son of the late Paul and Anna Piskura Carnicke. He graduated from the former Washington High School.
Before retiring, Mr. Carnicke operated a family farm in Washington for many years. He was a member of the Litchfield County Farm Bureau.
He also drove a school bus in Washington for about 22 years.
A parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Washington, he and his late sister, Agnes Carnicke Seidel, endowed a hall to the church in memory of his late uncle, Monseigneur Michael J. Carnicke, in the mid-1980s.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, David W. Carnicke of Washington, and a granddaughter.

Thomas G. Sherman
Thomas G. Sherman, 40, vice president of information technology for Physicians On Line, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Mass.
Mr. Sherman, of 21 Silver Birch Lane, New Milford, was the husband of Frances Harris Sherman.
Born in Meriden, Conn., on December 4, 1957, he was a son of Ann Kennedy Rosenbeck of Southbury and the late Raymond G. Sherman.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years.
A resident of New Milford for the past 12 years, Mr. Sherman previously lived in North Haven for 18 years.
He was active with the Boy Scouts of America.
Besides his wife, Mr. Sherman is survived by three sons, Michael Cruse, Christopher Cruse, and William Sherman, all of New Milford; a brother, Michael Sherman of Holden, Mass.; a sister, Kerri-Ann Flood of Williamson, N.Y.; and his stepmother, Barbara Meyers Sherman of North Haven.
