Beatrice L. Fuller
Beatrice L. Fuller, 69, a retired quality control supervisor, died Sunday at the Bethel Health Carer Center.
Mrs. Fuller of Baxter Street, Aqua Vista, Danbury, was the wife of Lawrence R. Fuller.
She was born in Danbury on March 26, 1928, a daughter of William C. and Eva Butler Miller. She was a 1945 graduate of Danbury High School.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Fuller had been employed for 25 years as a quality control supervisor at the Berol Corp. in Danbury. She later worked until 1993 as a proofreader with Harmond Publishing.
She was a member of St. James Church in Danbury.
Besides her husband, her survivors include a son, Paul O. Blanchard of New Milford; a daughter, Patricia A. Blanchard of Danbury; two brothers, Frederick N. Miller of Mexia, Texas, and Herbert C. Miller of Danbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Emily Blanchard.

J.M. Straniti, mother of Newtown man
Josephine M. Straniti, 76, mother of John J. Straniti of Newtown, died Sunday at her home in Norwalk.
A lifelong resident of Norwalk, Mrs. Straniti was the wife of the late John J. Straniti.
She was born in Norwalk on March 19, 1921, a daughter of Michael and Mary Graziano Padula.
Besides her son in Newtown, Mrs. Straniti is survived by another son, Salvatore C. Straniti of Norwalk; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Evelyn M. Tetro
Evelyn M. Tetro, 86, a retired store clerk and a lifelong resident of Brewster, died Sunday in Carmel.
Mrs. Tetro, of Stone Ridge Road, Brewster, was the wife of the late Hartley C. Tetro.
Born in Brewster on May 1, 1911, she was a daughter of Adam and Carrie Robinson Scharfenberg. She was educated in Brewster.
Mrs. Tetro had been employed for 15 years as a clerk at the New York Store in Brewster.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge, the District Nursing Association, and served as secretary for the Brewster Grange. She was also a member of the Brewster United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include a son, Hartley C. Tetro Jr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three daughters, Barbara Thibodeau of Carmel, Roberta Gordon of Mount Kisco, N.Y., and Marjorie Evarts of New Haven, Conn.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Michael Molloy
Michael Molloy, 83, a former carpenter and a retired real estate sales associate, died Saturday at his home.
Mr. Molloy, of Troy Place, Putnam Lake, Patterson, was the husband of the late Isabel Strickland Molloy who died in 1995.
He was born in Ireland on Sept. 20, 1914, a son of John and Mary Whelan Molloy. He was educated in Ireland.
He lived in the Bronx, N.Y., for 13 years before moving to Patterson in 1963.
During his career as a carpenter, Mr. Molloy was employed in construction in New York City. Following his 1979 retirement from carpentry, he began a 15-year association with Fowkes Realty in Brewster.
He was a member of the Manhattan Local of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
Mr. Molloy was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Putnam Lake.
His survivors include three daughters, Rachel Brady of Cedar Grove, N.J., and Vivien Molloy and Patricia Molloy, both of Brewster; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Thelma Landgrebe
Thelma F. Landgrebe, mother of Bruce Landgrebe of the Sandy Hook area of Newtown, died Monday at Hartford Hospital. She was 85.
Mrs. Landgrebe was a nurse who formerly worked and lived in the Bronx, N.Y.
She was the widow of Anton Landgrebe. Besides her local son, she is survived by two other sons, a brother, 11 grandchildren and a great- grandchild.

Reno Serfilippi
Reno J. Serfilippi of S. Olmstead Lane, Ridgefield, died Monday at Danbury Hospital. He was 83.
Mr. Serfilippi was born in Glen Cove, N.Y., on July 15, 1914, a son of the late Alesandro and Ersilia Buldrighini Serfilippi. A carpenter with Connecticut Carpenter's Union Local 210, he worked for A. Bacchiochi and Sons of Ridgefield until retiring in 1976.
For more than 80 years he lived in Ridgefield, where he was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Italian-American Mutual Aid Society.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Albanesi Serfilippi; two sons, Richard of Ridgefield and Peter L. of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a sister Rose Belardinelli of Ridgefield; a brother, Frank of Ridgefield; and four grandchildren.

George Hammond
George J. Hammond of Niantic, father of Michael Hammond of Newtown, died Monday at Mariner Healthcare at Bridebrook in Niantic. He was 86.
Mr. Hammond served the Board of Education and the Police Department in East Lyme, as well as the Fire Department in Niantic.
He was the husband of Pearl Simonovich Hammond of Niantic, and besides his wife and son, he is survived by two sisters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son.

John Berntsen
John W. Berntsen of Rockwood Lane, Danbury, died Tuesday at his home. He was 83.
Mr. Berntsen was the husband of Elfriede Brunhuber Berntsen.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on March 26, 1914, a son of the late Axel and Josephine Berntsen. He was a life member of Pelham Masonic Lodge No. 712 in the Bronx.
He lived in Danbury for many years. He worked as a painter and decorator in the maintenance department of the Heli-Coil Corp. in Danbury, before retiring 20 years ago.
A veteran, he served the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Christine Milo of New Fairfield; four sons, Kenneth and William of Woodsland, Texas, John of Toms River, N.J., and George of Sparks, Nev.; a stepson, Nelson Conyers of Branford; a stepdaughter, Beatrice Gambordella of Hamden; and nine grandchildren.

Ralph J. LoStocco
Funeral services for Ralph J. LoStocco of 21 South Ave., Danbury, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Entombment will take place at St. Peter's Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Among the survivors of Mr. LoStocco, who died Friday, are three grandchildren.

Ethel Mae Hall
Ethel Mae Hall, 89, a former Brewster and Somers resident, died Wednesday in Virginia.
Mrs. Hall, of Callaway, Va., was the wife of the late Benedict Charles Hall.
She was born in Somers, N.Y., on Nov. 26, 1908, a daughter of George Washington and Ida Mae Tomkins. She was educated in schools in the Somers area.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Hall worked for many years in the housekeeping department at the Carillon Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Her survivors include seven sons, Seldon George Hall, Daniel Harrison Hall, Charles Benedict Hall Sr., Douglas Lawrence Hall, James Allen Hall, Vincent Leo Hall, and John Konak; 37 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three daughters, Mary Lou Chapman, Emily Adams, and Evelyn Adams; two grandsons, Joseph Chapman and Seldon George Hall; and a great-grandson, Mark Adam Hall.

Robert J. Ruppert
Robert J. Rupert, 75, the retired owner of an ambulance and livery business, died Saturday at Norwalk Hospital.
A resident of Georgetown for the past 15 years, Mr. Ruppert previously lived in Greenwich and Norwalk.
He was born in Port Chester, N.Y., on Dec. 18, 1922, a son of Joseph and Helen MacKail Ruppert.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
Before his retirement, he owned and operated an ambulance and livery business based in Greenwich.
Mr. Ruppert was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in New Canaan and the V.F.W. Post #10190 in Georgetown. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Norwalk.
With a keen interest in firefighting, he was a fire department buff and enjoyed attending various fire department musters in the northeast. He also collected model antique fire apparatus.
Mr. Ruppert loved animals, especially cats.
There are no immediate survivors.

Theodore Pettit
Theodore ``Ted'' Pettit, 61, a retired driver for the B.J. Dolan Co. of Bethel and the former owner of the Pioneer Refuse Co., died Thursday at his home.
Mr. Pettit lived at 30 Skyline Drive, Candlewood Shores, Brookfield. He was the husband of Carol A. Tremont Pettit.
He was born in Danbury on Feb. 14, 1936, a son of Irving and Marjorie Waldo Pettit. He lived in Brookfield most of his life. He attended Brookfield schools and Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury.
Mr. Pettit served as a military policeman with the Army Reserve Battalion.
Before his retirement in 1991, Mr. Pettit was employed for 32 years by the B.J. Dolan Co. of Bethel. He also owned and operated the Pioneer Refuse Co. for five years.
He was a member of Teamsters Union Local #677 and had served as shop steward.
In the late 1950s and 1960s, Mr. Pettit was a member of the Southern New York Racing Association and drove at the Danbury Racearena.
Besides his wife, his survivors include a son, Ted C. Pettit of New Milford; two daughters, Penney L. Webb and Holly A. Hample both of New Milford; three sisters, Harriet Evans of Brookfield; Virginia Montesi of Danbury and Marjorie Pettit of Melbourne, Fla.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
