Peter Perry
Peter L. Perry of Toddy Hill Road, Newtown, and a lifelong resident of the Sandy Hook area of town, died Wednesday at his home. He was 47.
Mr. Perry was the husband of Debra Hyder Perry.
He was born in Danbury, July 12, 1950, a son of William Jolesch Perry of Sandy Hook and the late Robert Perry. He graduated from Rumsey Hall School, Washington, Conn.
He worked for the Moore Specialty Tool Co. in Bridgeport and later as a mechanic at Lovell's Garage in Newtown. Recently, he worked as a self-employed landscaper.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Christina Perry of Waterbury and Jill Perry of Sandy Hook; and four grandchildren.
CALLING HOURS: Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
Eileen Rothe
Eileen Hendrix Rothe, of 100 Boardman Road, New Milford, died Wednesday at Candlewood Valley Care Center, New Milford. She was 76.
Mrs. Rothe was the widow of Robert Rothe.
She was born in Washington, Conn., June 25, 1921, a daughter of the late Israel and Frances Jennings Hendrix. She lived in New Milford for the greater part of her life, and she was a parishioner at St. John's Episcopal Church in town.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis W. Rothe of Brookfield and Harry R. Rothe of New Milford; three daughters, Linda R. Michaud and Susan O'Dell, both of New Milford, and Kathleen N. Burns of Bantam; a brother, Claude Hendrix of Trumbull; two sisters, Alice Mossman of New Milford and Emma Greelaw of E. Andover, N.H.; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Rothe may be made to the Dialysis Unit at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington.

Gertrude Burke
Gertrude C. Burke of East Hill Woods, Southbury, and formerly of Ridgefield, died Thursday at her home. She was 92.
Mrs. Burke was the widow of John E. Burke.
She was born in New York City, Sept. 12, a daughter of the late James H. and Elizabeth Kenehan Curran. She was a teacher in the New York City public school system for more than 25 years, retiring in 1950.
She was a resident of Alexandria, Va., and then of Ridgefield for 11 years, before moving to Southbury. In Ridgefield, she was a member of St. Mary's Church. In Virginia, she was a member of the Alexandria Garden Club and a volunteer at the Pentagon.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy E. Curran of Danbury, a niece, Elizabeth A. Yanity of Ridgefield, and many other nieces and nephews.

George Davis
George Edward Davis, of Blueberry Drive, Brookfield, a resident of the town since 1970, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital, He was 66.
Mr. Davis was the husband of Mary Taliaferro Davis.
He was born in Newtown, Dec. 19, 1930, a son of Isabelle Tiemann Davis of New Milford, and the late Edward Davis. A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954. He worked for Southern New England Telephone for about 28 years, retiring in 1993, as a technician for its Danbury office.
He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors of the United States.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Shawn K. Davis of New Milford and Darryl Davis of Danbury; three stepdaughters, Judy Pruitt of Bradenton, Fla., Pamela Gudim of Arlington, Texas, and Theresa McCauley of Prentywod, Mont.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted in the spring in Newtown Village Cemetery, Newtown. Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford is in charge of the arrangements.
Barbara M. Carlucci
A Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara M. Carlucci will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Putnam Lake, N.Y. Burial will be in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson, N.Y.
Mrs. Carlucci, 63, of Hillside Road, Poughquag, N.Y., and formerly of Pawling, died Tuesday at her home. She was the wife of the late Frank P. Carlucci.
Her survivors include three sons, James Carlucci of Poughquag, William Carlucci of Brewster and Frank Carlucci of Danbury; a daughter, Leah Carlucci of Patterson; and five grandchildren. Arrangements are by the Horn & Thomes Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St., Pawling.
Edna Grace White
Edna Grace White, 79, a teachers aide in the Brookfield school system for many years, died Wednesday at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
A resident of Brookfield since 1960, Mrs. White was the wife of George White.
She was born in Hamden, Conn., Dec. 19, 1917, a daughter of Charles Emos and Esther Amrah Wilson Pitcher. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Mrs. White was a 61-year member of the Rebekahs. She joined Myrtle Rebekah Lodge in January of 1936 and transferred to Palm Rebekah Lodge in New Milford in 1986. She was a past Noble Grand and served as District Deputy President for six years.
She was noted for her craft work.
Besides her husband of 56 years, Mrs. White is survived by a son, Lee White of New Milford; three daughters, Jill Fattig of Meriden, Conn., Holly Johnson of New Milford, and Gay Varney of Greenvalley, Ill.; a brother, Charles Pitcher of Middletown, N.Y.; a sister, Lois Darrah of Danbury; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Francisco Rodriguez
Francisco Rodriguez, 57, an employee of Ridgefield Mazda, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Rodriguez, of 84 Town Hill Ave., Danbury, was the husband of Eduarda Romero Rodriguez.
He was born in LaRomona, Dominican Republic, April 3, 1940, a son of Candelaria Guerrero Rodriguez of New York City and the late Marcelio Rodriguez. He was educated in the Dominican Republic.
A resident of the United States and Danbury since 1991, Mr. Rodriguez was employed in the maintenance department at Ridgefield Mazda for the past four years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Besides his wife and mother, his survivors include a son, Guillermo Rodriguez or Danbury; three daughters, Maria Rodriguez, Zahira Rodriguez, and Francesca Rodriguez, all of Danbury; two brothers, Manuel Rodriguez of the Dominican Republic and Clemente Rodriguez of Jersey City, N.J.; six sisters, Zaida Mota and Maria Ant, both of Danbury; Aida Rodriguez, Melania de Lara and Dolores Alvarez, all of New York City; and Isabel Santana of the Dominican Republic; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

John Wasylean
John Wasylean, 80, a retired machinist, died Wednesday at his home at 191 Franklin Street Extension, Danbury.
Mr. Wasylean was the husband of the late Helen Zommer Wasylean. He was a Danbury resident for the past 45 years.
He was born in Woonsocket, R.I., July 16, 1917, a son of John and Teckla Wasylean. He was educated in Woonsocket schools.
Mr. Wasylean was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Before his retirement in 1981, he was employed by Preferred Utilities of Danbury. He was later employed by Burns Security.
Mr. Wasylean was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Danbury.
His survivors include three sons, Dennis of Waterbury, Michael with whom he made his home in Danbury, and Stephen of Rhode Island; four daughters, Holly Slominski of Newwgo, Mich., Nancy Wasylean of Danbury, Catherine Fesh of Phoenix, Ariz., and Betty Ann Moore of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara M. Carlucci
Barbara M. Carlucci, 63, a retired tutor, died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Carlucci, of Hillside Road, Poughquag, N.Y., was the wife of the late Frank P. Carlucci.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y., Jan. 7, 1934, a daughter of William and Helen O'Donnell Burke. She lived in Pawling before moving to Poughquag.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, Mrs. Carlucci was a tutor at Green Chimneys School, Putnam Lake.
She was a member of the board of directors of the Putnam Association for Retarded Citizens and the board of directors of the Putnam County Office of Mental Health.
Mrs. Carlucci was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Putnam Lake and the Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society.
Her survivors include two sons, James Carlucci of Poughquag and William Carlucci of Brewster; a daughter, Leah Carlucci of Patterson; and five grandchildren.

Karen J. Degen
Karen J. Degen, 33, the daughter of James M. and Martha C. Degen of Brookfield, died Tuesday at her home in Glenwood, Fla.
She was born in Huntsville, Ala., on April 13, 1964.
Besides her parents, Miss Degen is survived by two brothers, Keith Degen of Randolph, N.J., and Matthew Degen of Berkley Heights, N.J.

Eva Lacey
Eva M. Lacey, formerly of 240 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, died Tuesday at Ashlar of Newtown in Newtown. She was 89.
Mrs. Lacey was the wife of the late Charles E. Lacey.
She was born in Pomquet, Nova Scotia, Canada, Sept. 30, 1908, a daughter of Edmund and Jane (DeCoste) Benoit. She moved to the United States as a young woman, settling in Bethel in 1954.
She was a member of St. Mary Church in Bethel, where she was active in the Altar Society and was the rectory cook for five years.
Survivors include four sons, Edmund of Mashpee, Mass., Peter of New Milford, George of Bethel and Larry of Nantucket, Mass.; four daughters, Carol Aniskovich of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jane Damici and Mary Kaempfer, both of Bethel, and Elaine Lashgari of W. Hartford; 30 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Maurice, and a daughter, Patricia Lacey.

Eric Johnson
Eric G. Johnson of Georgetown died Sunday at Filosa Convalescent Home in Danbury. He was 76.
Mr. Johnson was the husband of Miriam Kramer Johnson, to whom he was married 56 years.
He was born in Landskrona, Sweden, Dec. 3, 1921, a son of Axel and Inez Peterson Johnson. At age 3, he and his family moved to the United States and settled in Georgetown.
He was retired from Connecticut Light & Power Co., where he worked for more than 30 years.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Post 10190 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Georgetown, and of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Co.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Lee of Weston, Mark of Euless, Texas, Peter of Bethel and K. Linnea Takacs of Chile; a sister, Lilly Bergfors of Wilton; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
