Larry F. Johnson
Larry F. Johnson, 58, manager of McCrory's Department Store in Waterbury, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.
Mr. Johnson, of 10 Royal Road, Danbury, was the husband of Joanne Constantine Johnson.
Born in Hope Mills, N.C., he was a son of Samuel and Christine Kennedy Johnson.
He had lived in Danbury for the past 10 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Danbury.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Todd Johnson of Danbury; a daughter, Amanda Johnson of Boston, Mass.; five brothers, Samuel Johnson of Pennsylvania, Sharon Johnson of Ohio, Timothy Johnson and Roland Johnson, both of Florida, and Dennis Johnson of Atlanta.

Linda Joy Harde
Linda Joy Harde, 54, a retired postal worker, died Thursday at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y.
Mrs. Harde, of Brewster, N.Y., was the wife of Fred H. Harde.
She was born in New York City, March 3, 1943, a daughter of Emily Wilcken Christen of Brewster, N.Y., and the late Rene Christen.
Mrs. Harde graduated from Richmond Hill High School in Richmond Hill, N.Y., and had been employed by the U.S. Post Office in Brewster for eight years.
Before moving to Brewster 23 years ago, she had lived in Mahopac, N.Y., for four years and in New York City.
Besides her husband of 33 years, she is survived by a son, Rene C. Harde of the Bronx, N.Y., and a daughter, Melissa B. Harde of Carrollton, Texas.

Marian F. Archer
Marian F. Archer, 94, who had operated a boarding home at her residence for more than 25 years, died Thursday at Mediplex of Danbury.
Mrs. Archer, of 106 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, was born in Danbury, June 3, 1903, a daughter of Edward and Mary Cook Kelley. She had attended Danbury schools.
A lifetime Danbury resident, she had been a member of the King Street Dorcas Society.
Surviving are two sons, Charles F. Archer and Lawrence F. Archer, both of Danbury; a brother, William T. Kelley of Bethel; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, William B. Archer in 1948.

George Conrad
George ``Moe'' Conrad, 76, former owner of Moe's West Street Shell Gas Station in Danbury, died Thursday at Mediplex Health Care Center in Danbury.
Mr. Conrad, of 3 Michaud Road, was the husband of Genevieve Staib Conrad.
Born in Westport, May 14, 1921, he was a son of Merritt and Mardel Davis Conrad.
Mr. Conrad was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy with the Battery B 963rd Field Artillery Battalion in the European theater.
Before owning and operating Moe's Gas Station, Mr. Conrad had been employed as a plumber for Con Rail Railroad.
For more than 40 years, he had been involved with the Danbury Racing Arena as pit steward. He also enjoyed bowling.
Mr. Conrad was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Lee Hartell Memorial Chapter and a volunteer for the Danbury Soap Box Derby.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Peter Merritt Conrad of Dolton, Ill.; a brother; four sisters; two grandsons; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Arnold Wallace
Arnold Wallace, 73, a retired engineering manager of Perkin-Elmer Corporation and of the Hughes Danbury Optical Corporation, died Thursday in Ossining, N.Y.
Mr. Wallace, of Ossining, N.Y., was the husband of Catherine Wallace.
Born in New York, N.Y., Oct. 29, 1924, he was a son of Joseph and Stanislava Klepaska Sienkiewicz.
Mr. Wallace had joined Perkin-Elmer in 1963 and had retired from the Hughes Corporation in 1990.
He was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Ossining, where he had served as an usher for the past five years and on the church's finance committee from 1991 to 1995.
Beside his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Wallace of New Fairfield and Maureen Carpenter of Patterson, N.Y.; a brother, Buster Sienkiewicz of New York; and three granddaughters.

Agatha M. Kabetal
Agatha Mazatta Kabetal, 76, formerly of Grove Street, New Milford, died Thursday at New Milford Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Frank Kabetal.
Born in New Milford, July 18, 1921, she was a daughter of Lewis and Louise Roux Mazatta.
A 1939 graduate of New Milford High School, she worked as a secretary of Sandmeyer Fuel Company in Cornwall.
Mrs. Kabetal had moved to Jensen Beach, Fla, in 1983, and returned to New Milford in 1995.

James A. Madkour
The Liturgy of Christian Burial for James A. Madkour will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Maronite Church in Danbury with the Rev. Moussa Joseph officiating.
Mr. Madkour, 77, of Elizabeth Street, Bethel, died Wednesday at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He was the husband of Hneineh (Abousamra) Madkour, to whom he was married for 51 years.
Mr. Madkour was born in Lawrence, Mass., Jan. 4, 1920, a son of Ibrahim and Hanneh (Mowad) Madkour. Reared and educated in Lebanon, where he moved in 1922, Madkour returned to the United States in 1970 and settled in the Danbury area.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Samir of Franklin Lakes, N.J., Antoine and Kamil, both of Kula, Hawaii, Ibrahim of Bethel and Ghassan of Worcester, Mass.; a daughter, Sabah Chammas of Saddle Brook, N.J.; two brothers, Antoine and Michel, both of France; two sisters, Marie Chammas of France and Ilham Khoury of Australia; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Leah Limperopulos
Leah Kahn Van Treuren Limperopulos, 81, a former retail buyer for numerous companies including Gimbels of New York, died Friday at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Limperopulos, of 34 Musket Ridge Road, New Fairfield, was the wife of Peter Limperopulos.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., August 31, 1916, a daughter of Samuel and Annie Rose Kahn.
She and her family lived in New York and New Jersey for many years before moving to New Fairfield 12 years ago where she and her husband made their home with their daughter, Stephanie Van Treuren.
Besides her husband and daughter Stephanie, she is survived by a son, Stephen of Fairlawn, N.J.; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Harold Riess
Harold E. Riess of Heritage Village, Southbury, a retired accountant, died Wednesday at Waterbury Hospital. He was 81.
Mr. Riess was the husband of Isabel (Creekbaum) Riess, to whom he was married for 52 years.
He was born in New York Oct. 3, 1916, a son of the late William H. and Christina (Rees) Riess. Formerly of Merrick, N.Y., Mr. Riess moved to Heritage Village in 1993. He worked for John Boyle & Co. in New York City for the 47 years before his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, June Riess Goldner of Katonah, N.Y., and Karen Romanelli of Newtown; and three grandchildren.

M. Vonderweidt
Marilene Schiepan Vonderweidt of 79 Second Hill Road, Bridgewater, died Wednesday at her home. She was 84.
Mrs. Vonderweidt was the wife of Andre H. Vonderweidt.
She was born in Strasbourg, France, March 21, 1913, a daughter of the late Ernest and Alice Baur Schiepan. She was a graduate of the Cordon Bleu in Paris.
Moving to the United States in 1939, she settled in New York City. There, she was an active volunteer at the Trinity School Thrift Shop.
She moved to Bridgewater in 1979.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Michel, of Trumansborg, N.Y.; a daughter, Carole, of Syracuse, N.Y.; a sister in France and four grandchildren.

James Ottoshavett
James A. Ottoshavett of 611 W. Oakland Ave., Sumter, N.C., a retired carpenter formerly of Newtown, died Tuesday in Florence, S.C.
Mr. Ottoshavett was born in Newtown, Nov. 12, 1916, a son of the late John and Catherine Donovan Otoshavett. He was reared and educated in Newtown.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Ottoshavett of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Carolyn Jones of Brownville, Maine, and Elena Otoshavett of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; and a brother, William Ottoshavett of Newtown.

Margaret Baker
Margaret M. Baker of 148 Wagmans Ridge Road, Saratoga, N.Y., and formerly of Danbury, died Wednesday at her home.
She was the widow of Frederick J. Baker.
Mrs. Baker was born in Danbury, Aug. 21, 1909, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget (Durkin) Murphy. She was reared in Danbury and a graduate of Danbury High School. As a young woman, she moved to Trenton, N.J., but returned in 1978, living at Deer Hill Arms until moving to Saratoga three years ago.
She was a retired executive secretary for the State of New Jersey Highway Department.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church, Danbury.
Survivors include two nephews, Jack Murphy of Saratoga, N.Y., and James Murphy of Danbury.
