Ernest P. Bellavita
Ernest P. Bellavita, age 66, husband of Patricia (Davis) Bellavita of Linda Drive, Bridgeport, CT, died March 31, 2000 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Bridgeport.
Mr. Bellavita was born in Bridgeport, July 14, 1933, the son of the late Joseph and Serafina (Gelormino) Bellavito. A resident of Bridgeport for the past six years, he formerly lived in Newtown and Southbury.
He was last employed as a truck driver for the Monroe Concrete Redimix Co. He was a member of the Marchegiana Society in Bridgeport.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Bellavita of Sunrise, FL; a daughter, Sandra Gill of Sandy Hook; two sisters Edith Morton of Milford, CT and Rose Castaldo of Bridgeport; sister-in-law, Enes Bellavita of Bridgeport; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 3, 2000, at 9:30 a.m. from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, to St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Newtown Village Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Betty Poster Engle
A memorial service for Betty Poster Engle, who passed away February 14, 2000, will be held on Sunday, April 2, at 8:00 p.m. at Bright Clouds Ministries, 18 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury.
Elizabeth Ann Poster Engle, 71 of Cape Coral, Fla., was born in Romania and was a resident of Danbury before moving to Cape Coral in 1999.
Mrs. Engle is survived by her husband, Robert Engle; three sons, Nicholas Poster and his wife Mary Philip Poster and William Poster Jr.; two daughters, Carol Tilden and Christine Moricone and her husband, Chris; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Lee County, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.

I. Charlotte Simko, age 69, wife of Arthur Simko of 9 Nettleton Dr., Newtown, CT, died March 31, 2000 in the Danbury Hospital.
She was born in Gelfenhargen, Germany, June 18, 1930, daughter of the late Karl and Hedwig (Steinke) Herse. She came to the United States in 1959, residing In Stamford, CT. She later moved to Bethel and has been a resident of Newtown since 1989.
She is survived, besides her husband, by 2 daughters Dagmar Budd of Atlanta, GA, and Diana Howard of San Diego, CA; 2 brothers, Fritz and Heinz Herse, both of Germany; 3 sisters, Lilly Godfrend of Stamford, CT, Dora Peters and Ursula Knopp both of Germany. Also survived by step-mother Henna Herse of Germany; 3 grandchildren, Christopher and Alex Budd and Ryan Howard.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant Rd., Newtown, CT, on May 6, 2000 at 11 a.m. Cremation Mt. Grove Crematory, Bridgeport.

Lillian A. Goebel
Lillian A. Goebel, 84, of Rutland Town, VT, died Saturday at Eden Park Nursing Home. She was born November 6, 1915, in New York City, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Schiebelhuth) Koteiwo.
Mrs. Goebel was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and active in the Altar Guild, and the Women's Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
Survivors include her husband, Fred J. Goebel, Sr. of Rutland Town; a daughter, Irene Goebel of West Rutland, VT; two sons, Richard W. Goebel, of Los Angeles, CA, and Fred J. Goebel, Jr., and his wife, Mary, of Newtown; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1l a.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with Rev. William Howard, pastor, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Following the funeral. there will be a reception in the fellow-ship hall.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Margaret Orioli
Margaret Orioli, formerly of New Fairfield, died peacefully at her home in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 28, 2000. She was a cherished wife and beloved mother.
A Christian Mass will be held in Montgomery. Private funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.
Sophie Melnychuk
Sophie Melnychuk of Brewster, N.Y., died yesterday at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Melnychuk, 80, was the wife of the late Andrew A. Melnychuk.
Sophie (Fadowitz) Melnychuk was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 30, 1919, a daughter of the late Elias and Anna (Harhut) Fadowitz. She was educated in New York schools, receiving a degree from Hunter College and a master's from Columbia University.
A substitute teacher in New York state, she worked for 15 years in the Brewster and Carmel central school districts, retiring in 1986.
Her community involvement included membership in the Brewster Widow/Widowers group.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Farber of Harrisburg, Pa., Jean Decosa of Oswego, N.Y., and Carolyn Fox of Carlsbad, Calif.; a sister, Mary Majult of Brooklyn; and four grandchildren Scott Farber, a junior at Harvard University, Corey Farber, a sophomore at Wellesley University, and Alyson and Alexis Decosa, both sophomores at Oswego High School.
Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster.

Edward A. Moloski
Edward A. Moloski, age 77, of Bethel, beloved brother of Eileen C. Lovallo of Bethel and Theresa Acerbo of Norwalk, died Saturday, April 1, 2000 in Glen Hill Rehabilitation Center in Danbury.
Mr. Moloski was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Maylee Anderson
Maylee Anderson, 40, of 26 Highland Avenue, Danbury, died Wednesday at Danbury Hospital from cancer.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois July 8, 1959, a daughter of Cora Priar and the late George Anderson.
Ms. Anderson was a woman of many talents and interests including singing and dancing. She had a vendor's license to sell candy, clothing and furniture.
Besides her mother, Cora, she is survived by two sons, Lawrence and Johnny and a daughter, Marlena; 9 brothers and sisters, George, Billie, Jimmy, Pauline, Essie, Lowrine, Jeannette, Deloris and Sylvester, all of Danbury; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and acquaintances. She will be sorely missed by the people who loved and needed he most.

Calling hours: Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Tomlinson Homestead, 336 Main Street, Danbury. Burial will follow at the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. A reception will be held following the burial at the Glenn Apartments Community Center for family and friends.
Thomas Edward Presnell
Thomas Edward Presnell, 76, of 113 Ash Street, Bristol, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at the VA Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn.
Mr. Presnell was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Presnell and a daughter, Barbara Jean Presnell Gosden.
He is survived by three sons, Tommy E. Presnell, Danbury; Sydney Phillip Presnell, Bristol, Tenn., Dwight R. Presnell, Blountville, Tenn.; one daughter, Sara Presnell Torcasia, Bristol, Tenn.; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Jones, Cheshire and Faye Miles, Newtown; and two brothers, Frank Presnell, Newtown and Paul Presnell, Tampa, Fla.
Born in Washington County, Tenn., Mr. Presnell had resided in Newtown for 38 years before retiring to Bristol, Tenn. He was a Naval Veteran of World War II and had earned 36 battle stars as a crew member on the aircraft carrier ESSEX. He was a life member of the VFW Post 308 of Newtown.
To further the education of medical students, Mr. Presnell has requested that his body be donated to the Quillen Medical School, Johnson City, Tenn. A private service for the family was held shortly after his passing. A memorial service will be held graveside at a later date.
Laurence D. Wyman
Laurence D. Wyman, 70, of 8 Sullivan Farm, New Milford, husband of Louise Desimone Wyman, died Monday at his home.
Mr. Wyman was born in Newark, N.J., January 31, 1930, a son of the late Francis L. and Mary Catherine Holmes Wyman.
He is a graduate of Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where he received his MBA. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as a Sergeant in the US Marines. He was employed for a number of years at McCall's Magazine in New York City; later was employed for a number of years by McGraw-Hill Publishing in Stamford.
He had lived in Katonah, N.Y. from 1968-1992, when he moved to New Milford.
He had been a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church and also had been a volunteer at the New Milford Hospital Columbia-Presbyterian Cancer Center in New Milford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Drew L. Wyman of Northampton, Mass., and Bradford J. Wyman of Newtown; one daughter, Tracey S. Wutka of North Granby; four grandchildren, Caroline, Sarah and Lauren Wutka and Charlie Wyman.
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lakes Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

George H. Albert
George H. Albert, age 83, of Bethel, died on Sunday at the Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara (Sniffen) Albert.
Mr. Albert was born in Danbury, March 21, 1917, a son of the late Francis and Anna (Newland) Albert. He grew up in Danbury and graduated from schools here. A resident of Bethel for over 50 years, Mr. Albert was self-employed as an excavating contractor, working in the Danbury area for many years.
Mr. Albert was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving as a combat engineer stationed in the Pacific.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Albert is survived by his son, George S. Albert and daughter-in-law, Rosanne of Danbury; one brother, Francis Albert of Danbury; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Albert was predeceased by his sister, Anna, and his two brothers, James and John.
There are no calling hours or services.

Pauline M. Bennett
Pauline M. Bennett, 74, a former resident of Georgetown for 57 years, died on March 5, 2000 in Daytona Beach, Fla. where she had made her home since 1980. She was the wife of Robert Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Canton, Conn. on August 8, 1925, a daughter of Beatrice Monroe of Wilton and the late William Monroe.
She was a member of the Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church and the Georgetown United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband of 55 years and her mother, Mrs. Bennett is survived by her four sons, Robert Bennett Jr. of Stamford, Richard and Paul Bennett, both of Danbury and Mark Bennett of Newtown; one daughter, Patti Honan of Sharon; two brothers, William Monroe of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Robert Monroe of Wilton; fourteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday (April 8) at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 83 Main Street, Brewster, N.Y. The Rev. Kenneth E. White, Pastor, will officiate.
