Elizabeth Maires Richmond
A memorial service for Elizabeth Maires Richmond of 211 Litchfield Rd., New Milford, will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Bridgewater.
Mrs. Richmond was the wife of Truman T. Richmond. She passed away at her home on November 20, 1999.
Therese Behrens
Therese Behrens, 85, of Brooksville, Florida, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Behrens was the wife of the late Henry F. Behrens.
She was born in Wurtzburgh, Germany August 13, 1914, a daughter of George and Elizabeth (Kellerman) Hirz.
Before moving to Florida, Mrs. Behrens lived on Newfane Road in New Fairfield for many years.
She was a lifelong member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Carol Behrens of New Fairfield and her grandson, Jason G. Behrens.

Edward J. Ellis
Edward J. Ellis, 71, of 918 South C Street, Lakeworth, Fla., husband of Alise (O'Brien) Ellis, died on Tuesday evening, April 4, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Ellis was born in Danbury September 9, 1928, a son of the late Miled J. and Labeeby (Michael) Ellis. He attended Danbury schools, graduated from the Florida Military Academy.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Ellis was involved in the family operated hatting fur company, the former Ellis Fur Company until he moved to Lakeworth, Florida in 1967.
A resident of Lakeworth since 1967, he was a retired operations manager in the sale of gasoline and petroleum products.
A former member of St. Anthony's Maronite Church of Danbury, he was member of the Sacred Heart Church of Lakeworth and the Lakeworth VFW.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two sons, Edward J. Ellis Jr. of Lakeworth, Fla. and John D. Ellis of Lancaster, Calif.; a daughter, Mary T. Lanham of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Joseph F. Ellis of Danbury; three sisters, Helen E. Moses and Lorraine E. Jowdy, both of Danbury and Evelyn E. George of Lakeworth, Fla.; as well as five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Avenue, Danbury, with the Rev. Larry Jensen, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received at St. Anthony's Church on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
Eugene E. Kelly
Eugene E. Kelly, 87, husband of Frances "Midge" (Accavallo) Kelly of Alan Avenue, died on Monday following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Woodlawn, N.Y., February 1, 1913, son of the late Francis X. and Helen (O'Shea) Kelly. He was a graduate of St. Barnabas School, Fordham Prep, C.C.N.Y. and Fordham University School of Law with a Jurist Doctorate. He had been employed by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, Classified Parole Dept. He retired in 1973 after having served in that department for 32 years. Mr. Kelly had been a Danbury resident since 1942 and had been a volunteer with the American Red Cross working in the medical benefits department for Vietnam veterans.
In addition to his wife, Gene is survived by a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Beverly Ann and Andrew Kieras; 3 grandchildren, Siobhan Kieras, Stephen Kieras and Christopher Kieras and his wife, Maria. He was predeceased by a brother, James H. Kelly.
Funeral Services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Friday morning at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel, at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

Craig P. Ogan
Craig P. Ogan, age 23, of 140 Castle Hill Road, Newtown, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000 in Chicago, Illinois, where he had lived since March 1st of this year. Craig was born in Boston, Mass., September 7, 1976, a son of Loree A. Ogan of Newtown and Kenneth L. Ogan of Windsor, Colorado.
Craig was a resident of Newtown since 1985 and attended Newtown High School and John Dewey Academy in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. During the summer while attending college, Craig worked for the Connecticut Citizens Action Group. During the summer of 1999, Craig went to Honduras and filmed a Health and Human Services Documentary to be released this spring. Craig went to Chicago to take a position as Information Technology Liaison for a startup digital film company. He was a member of Future Media Concepts Association.
In addition to his parents, Craig is survived by a brother, Erik R. Ogan of San Francisco, Calif.; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Eleanor Nazzaro of Milton, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 8, 2000 at 12:00 noon in St. Rose of Lima Church. Cremation will take place at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Robert A. Kelley
The death of Robert A. Kelley, 74, of Pondview Terrace, Danbury, occurred at the Danbury Hospital April 4, 2000 after a sudden illness. He was the husband of Doris J. (Peters) Kelley.
Born in Danbury November 27, 1925, son of the late Arthur and Lucy Ihloff Kelley, he was a graduate of the Danbury Trade School and a lifetime Danbury resident.
Mr. Kelley was an Electrician by trade, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #48 for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He then continued to work for 10 additional years.
He had served in the Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate and was a recipient of the European Service Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; the Germantown Volunteer Hose Company, of which he was a member for 53 years and had served as its Chief, Assistant Chief as well as other various offices. Mr. Kelley was also a member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid hunter.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Peter J. Kelley of Danbury; a sister, Dorothy Peters of North Carolina; a granddaughter, Candace O'Riley of Virginia; a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Glenn R. Kelley.
Private funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
Cremation will follow.

Robert A. Kelley

Harvey Wilson
Harvey Wilson, 77, of Charcoal Ridge Road East, New Fairfield, died Wednesday at Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Wilson was the husband of Rachel (Dunlap) Wilson.
He was born in Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania April 10, 1922, a son of George and Esther (Smith) Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Army. He worked as a chef for various restaurants in the area.
Besides his wife Rachel, he is survived by 3 daughters, Jodie Rustigan of Danbury, Debra Ricciardi of California and JoceIyn Gebhardt of Florida; a brother, George Wilson of Pennsylvania; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Spinello.

Anna R. Kamas
Anna R. Kamas, age 75, of 55 Sugar St., Newtown, died unexpectedly at the Danbury Hospital on April 6, 2000. She was born in Newtown June 15, 1924, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Pomleck) Kamas. A lifelong resident of Newtown, she was employed at Fairfield Hills Hospital as supervisor of the laundry department. For many years, she was a volunteer in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at Danbury Hospital. She will be remembered as an avid bingo player.
She is survived by one son, Gerald Kamas of Danbury and one granddaughter, Teri Lynn Kamas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2000 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Rose Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

David A. Lanyon
David A. Lanyon died Friday, April 7, 2000, at his home in Southbury. He was the husband of Betty Ann Gruener Lanyon.
Born in Stamford, Oct. 21, 1925, he was a son of the late Herbert B. and Bertha L. Stacey Lanyon.
A graduate of Stamford High School, Class of 1943, he was a resident of Southbury since 1996.
Before his retirement, he and his brothers Frederic and Rodney owned and operated H.B. Lanyon & Sons, Inc., a store and restaurant equipment business in Stamford for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Connecticut State Guard in 1942, a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran serving in the Pacific theater.
Mr. Lanyon was a longtime member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was an honorary member of the Stamford German American Club, serving 25 years as director and trustee.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, William Lanyon of Southbury; three daughters, Diane Badoud of Morpark, Calif., Jayne DiTomaso of Stamford, and Kimberly Mirabito of Southbury; a brother, Donald of St. Simon Island, Ga., and wife; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frederic in 1993 and Rodney in 1996.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will take place Monday at 10 a.m. at Bouton & Reynolds Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Burial will be in Fairfield Memorial Park.

Arthur James McKenna
Arthur James McKenna, 86, of 167 Silver Spring Road, Ridgefield, died Thursday evening at his home. He was the husband of Marjorie Colville McKenna.
Mr. McKenna was born in New York City on July 16, 1913, a son of the late Arthur J. and Eileen MacGuire McKenna. He grew up in Garden City , Long Island, and attended The Choate School in Wallingford, CT He was a 1936 graduate of Yale University, where he received his BS.
Mr. McKenna served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was in charge of compressed gas for all the branches of the service in the South Pacific theater of war.
After the war, Mr. McKenna joined the Dorr-Oliver Corporation where he was a sales engineer and international consultant. He retired in 1983. Mr. McKenna was later a sales consultant for Carbtrol in Westport for 10 years.
A Ridgefield resident for the past 62 years, Mr. McKenna was previously of Park Forest, Il. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Ridgefield and the Ridgefield Men's Club. He was an early board member of the Keeler Tavern Preservation Society and active in the Ridgefield Community Center and its annual June flea market. Mr. McKenna was a former member of the Ridgefield Planning and Zoning Commission; member and then chairman of the Republican Town Committee.
Besides his wife, survivors include three daughters: Katherine L. McKenna of Nyack, NY, Constance E. McKenna of Rockville, MD, and Barbara McKenna of Washington, DC. One brother: Robert L. McKenna, MD, of Denver, CO. One sister: Constance McKenna of Sun City West, AZ. 5 grandchildren also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Ridgefield. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield, at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Kane Funeral Home, 41 Catoonah St., Ridgefield.
