Brenda L. Weston
Brenda L. Weston, 31, of Redding, died Friday, December 3, 1999. She was the wife of Stanley L. Weston.
Mrs. Weston was born in Milford on October 11, 1968, a daughter of Joseph Campbell of Bangor, Maine and Alminda Bautista Roth of Milford.
A loving mother and wife, she especially enjoyed being with children and formerly assisted at the Landmark Academy in Wilton.
In addition to her high school sweetheart and husband of seven years and her parents, Mrs. Weston is survived by her paternal grandmother, Mary Hart of Bangor, Maine; her children, Ashley and Stanley Weston of Redding; her two sisters, Donna Campbell of New Canaan and Kelly Campbell of New Milford; her brother, Lawrence Campbell of Milford; her nephew, Tyler; and her aunt, Frances Gorham of Newtown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 8 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 183 High Ridge Avenue, Ridgefield. The interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield.
Friends may call at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown on Tuesday, December 7 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Manuel Moniz
Manuel Moniz, 87, of 74 Queen Street, Newtown, died on December 4, 1999 at his home. He was the husband of Lena (Frias) Moniz.
Born in Azores, Portugal, January 22, 1912, he was a son of the late Augostinho and Filomena Moniz. Mr. Moniz was educated in Portugal.
In Azores, Portugal, Mr. Moniz worked as an Engineer for Radio Marconi for 33 years. He immigrated to the United States in 1960 and was employed by the Amphenol Corp. in Danbury until his retirement.
Mr. Moniz was a member of St. Rose Church, Newtown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Moniz of Southbury; a daughter, Louise Neves of Danbury; and four grandchildren, Neil Amaral, Jennifer Pope, Christopher Neves and Jessica Moniz. Mr. Moniz was predeceased by his daughter, Helen Amaral in 1988.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose Church, Newtown, Tuesday at 12 noon.
Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery, Newtown.
Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.

Mary F. Tahan
Mary F. Tahan, 90, of 33 Valley Stream Drive, Danbury, wife of the late Charles J. Tahan, died on Sunday evening, December 5, 1999.
Mrs. Tahan was born in Waterbury, December 15, 1908, a daughter of George and Rachel (Elias) Francis. She had attended Waterbury schools.
A resident of Danbury for the past 70 years coming from Waterbury, she was last employed by the Southern New England Telephone Company.
Mrs. Tahan was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and of Saint Anthony's Maronite Church of Danbury where she was also a member and former president of the Ladies Guild.
She will be remembered for her kind wit and most especially for love, care, and concern for her family, church and friends ... the reason for her being.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean M. Tahan, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mabel Jacobs of Richmond, Va. and Phoebe Lechner of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Fred Francis of Terryville; four grandchildren, Shelly E. Breton of Fremont, Calif., Lisa M. Tahan of Danbury, Joseph C. Tahan of Reno, Nev. and Charles M. Tahan of Granite Bay, Calif.; her daughter-in-law, Mary (Keating) Tahan of Danbury, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tahan was also predeceased by a son, Joseph C. Tahan.
The Liturgy of the Resurrection will take place on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony's Maronite Church, 17 Granville Avenue, Danbury, with the Rev. Larry Jensen, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

Margaret Boeringer
Margaret Boeringer, 89, of Penny Lane, New Fairfield, died Sunday at Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen, N.Y.
Mrs. Boeringer was the wife of the late August Boeringer.
She was born in Germany, January 12, 1910, a daughter of Gottlieb and Margaret (Bauman) Schumann.
Mrs. Boeringer was a resident of New Fairfield since 1960. She was a founding member and most senior female member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Mrs. Boeringer was a member of the New Fairfield Senior Club, the Sunshine Club and the Women's Service Club and was a retired senior volunteer for the Red Cross.
Mrs. Boeringer was a factory worker for 10 years and instructed knitting classes, a business she started on her own for 10 years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Mary Boeringer of Nanuet, N.Y., 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Theresa and David Herrick, Linda and Tim Safe and Edward and Jacqueline Bora, 7 great grandchildren, Domonique, Dana, Joseph, Nicholas, Taylor, Carli and Kevin and several nieces and nephews.

Raymond C. Ubben
Raymond C. Ubben, 65, of 75 Manor Road, husband of Mary (Lambe) Ubben, died Saturday, December 4, in his home.
Mr. Ubben was born June 4, 1934, in Yonkers, New York, son of the late Arthur William and Cristina Rose (Mack) Ubben. He had lived in Southbury for the past thirty years, commuting to New York daily where he worked for the Telephone Company.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Randolph Ubben of New Milford, Greg Ubben of South Carolina, Brian and Paul Ubben, both of Southbury; a daughter, Dana Mayberger of Florida and 7 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, Route 6 on Friday, December 10, 1999 at 11 a.m. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 10 until the time of the service.
Burial is private.

Kenneth Mills
Kenneth Mills of Brookfield died on December 3, 1999 at Rosary Hill Home. He was 74.
Mr. Mills was the art director for B.B.D.O. advertising in New York City. He graduated from Cooper Union and studied under Mr. Riley in Woodstock, N.Y. He was a member of the Art Student League in N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Fildes Mills; stepchildren, Patricia Vossberg, Richard and Robert Fildes; and his sister, Janet Johnson and her husband, Carl.
Service: Monday 11:30 a.m., Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, N.Y. Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery.

Priscilla (Chalmers) Lyon
Priscilla (Chalmers) Lyon, 76, of 25 South Main Street, New Milford, wife of the late Alan Lyon, died Sunday at New Milford Hospital after being stricken at her home.
Mrs. Lyon was born in New Milford April 23, 1923, a daughter of the late William Y. and Gertrude Riddiford Chalmers. She was a graduate of New Milford High School and later the Connecticut School of Physical Therapy in New Haven.
She had been last employed at the Candlewood Valley Health Center in New Milford. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of New Milford, a member of the New Milford Garden Club and a member of the New Milford Historical Society. She also had been a longtime member of the Lake Waramaug Country Club in New Preston. She had been a longtime volunteer at the Thrift Mart of New Milford, Inc.
She is survived by a son, Lynn "Punky" Lyon of Swedeboro, N.J.; two daughters, Betsy L. Lathrop of New Milford and Martha Dwyer of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; one sister, Jeanne Clark of Waterford; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of New Milford.
Interment in Center Cemetery, New Milford.

John W. Spindle
John W. Spindle, 69, of Thornhurst Road, Bear Creek, Pa., died Sunday at Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
He was born, February 16, 1930 in Arlington, Va., a son of the late Lester and Agnes Davis Spindle. An Army veteran, he was employed as a truck driver for Manfredi, Inc., Newbury. He resided in New Fairfield for many years and was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Brookfield. He also belonged to the Hughestown Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Spindle.
Surviving are his wife, the former Judy Schriver; sons, Lawrence Spindle and Paul Spindle, both of Danbury, John Spindle of Manchester, Todd Toth, Troy Toth, and Patrick Toth, all of Willimantic; daughters, Sylvia Creamer of Lynchburg, Va. and Leslie Phillips of Willimantic; 9 grandchildren; sister, Margaret Goheen of Reedville, Va.; brothers, Robert and Charles Spindle, both of Reedville, Va.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass which will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 in St. Joseph's Church, Brookfield. Arrangements are by E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Madeline Hajj Tomey
Madeline Hajj Tomey, 87, of Glen Hill Road, Danbury, wife of the late Edward W. Tomey, died on Monday morning at the Glen Hill Harborside Healthcare Center, Danbury.
Mrs. Tomey was born in Worcester, Mass., November 15, 1912, a daughter of Abraham B. and Susan (Farrah) Hajj.
She was a resident of Danbury for the past 75 years, coming from Worcester.
Mrs. Tomey was a member of St. Anthony's Maronite Catholic Church of Danbury as well as of the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by three sons, Edmund Tomey of Dorset, Vt., Robert Tomey and Richard Tomey, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three brothers, Edward Hajj, William Hajj and Alfred Hajj and two sisters, Eva Haddad and Lillian Ramey, all of Danbury; as well as six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Robert Blackstock
Robert Blackstock, peacefully at Ste. Anne's Hospital on December 5, 1999, lifetime resident of St. Lambert; proud veteran of the RCNVR, active with the Legion, the St. Barnabas Church and scouting with the Storer Troop. Husband of the late Bunny Clifford and the late Wilma Garrow.
Survived by his sister, Ruth Narstead of St. Catherine's, Ontario; his brother, the Rev. Eric (Lorraine) of Comox, BC; his daughter, Pamela (Kemp McMeekin), grandchildren, Caity and Alie of Merrickville, Ontario; and his son, Alan (Janette Hebert), grandchildren, Chris and Melissa of Bethel. Will be missed by stepchildren Heather Read, Shirley MacKell, Margaret Gigon and Bob Gigon.
