Rose G. Banting
Rose G. Banting, 94, of 76 Rising Ridge Rd., Ridgefield, died Thursday morning at Laurelwood in Ridgefield. She was the wife of the late Joseph V. Banting.
Mrs. Banting was born in Brooklyn on Nov. 26, 1905, a daughter of the late John Joseph and Elizabeth Lynch Sheehan. One of sixteen children, Mrs. Banting raised her siblings after the death of her mother at an early age.
A Ridgefield resident since March of 1996, Mrs. Banting was a previous longtime resident of Hollis, Queens, N.Y. There she was a member of the Incarnation RC Church and active in the Friendship Club there. She was an avid reader and caregiver.
Survivors include four daughters: Patricia Martin of Miami Beach, Fla., Mary Ann Ammann of Exeter, N.H, Ellen Stueck of Ridgefield, and Margaret Gillen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. Fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Ridgefield with the Rev. Patrick Mooney, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kane Funeral Home, 41 Catoonah St., Ridgefield.

Julia Ann Tebordo
Julia Ann Tebordo, age 86, of Brewster, N.Y., died Thursday, February 10, 2000 in Havredegrace, M.D.
Mrs. Tebordo was born May 14, 1913 in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., to Samuel and Gabriella (D'Amico) DePalma. She attended schools in Croton-on-Hudson.
Mrs. Tebordo married Gordon Tebordo on January 8, 1931 in Croton-on-Hudson. After 47 years together, Mr. Tebordo died on April 12, 1978. Mrs. Tebordo was a homemaker who lovingly devoted herself to her large family. She was also an avid latch hook rug maker and country music fan. Mrs. Tebordo had lived most of her adult life in Brewster along with having lived in Vermont, Stormville, N.Y. and Elkton, M.D.
Mrs. Tebordo is survived by a son Eugene Tebordo of LaGrangeville, N.Y. and four daughters, Vivian Burdick of Brewster, Shirley Moloney of Stormville, N.Y., Iona Mirsky of Albany, N.Y. and Linda Brammer of Elkton, M.D. Also 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 14, 2000 at 11 a.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster. Interment will be at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
Robert Belden King
Robert Belden King W-01, USN (Ret) on January 29, 2000, of Citrus Heights, Calif., husband of the late Emma Marie King (Kenny).
Mr. King was born on February 22, 1919 in Stamford, son of Robert A. King and Christina L. Northrop. Mr. King was a career Naval Veteran, he served on the USS Enterprise in the Pacific during World War II.
Surviving are two nephews. the Rev. Lewis S. Stone Jr., Robert N. Stone and three nieces, Judith S. Saulnier, Christina S. Parker and Constance S. Thompson and numerous grand-nephews and nieces.
Interment will be private and a separate memorial service will be held at the Lakeview Village Clubhouse in Citrus Heights, Calif. on Feb. 21, 2000. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, National Wildlife Federation, Sacramento SPCA & Mercy Hospice.
Patrick Gillotte Sr., M.D.
Patrick Gillotte Sr., M.D., 74, of Las Vegas, NV, died Feb. 10, 2000 at Valley Hospital in Nevada.
Dr. Gillotte was born in Danbury, Sept. 26, 1925. A retired physician and World War II Army veteran, Dr. Gillotte was a member of the Council of American Pathologists. He had lived in Las Vegas for the past 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Diana "Dee" Gillotte of Las Vegas, two sons, Joseph Patrick Gillotte Jr. of Lansing, MI, and Alan Gregory Gillotte of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Paul Gillotte of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, Anney, Elizabeth, Peter, Sydney and Alex Gillotte; a niece, Donna Gillotte; and a nephew, Alex Gillotte.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Palm Mortuary Cheyenne, Las Vegas.

Dennis Palmer
Mr. Dennis Allen Palmer, 52, beloved husband and father, a resident of Holly Grove Road, Thomasville, North Carolina., went to a better place February 11, 2000.
Mr. Palmer was born in Winsted, Connecticut, October 8, 1947, a son of Emory Palmer and Marjorie Ringwood Palmer.
A resident of Thomasville since 1981, he retired from the U.S. Navy after 18 years of service.
He was the owner of Palmer's Heating & Air Conditioning and a member and past Governor of Lexington Moose Lodge No. 317.
On July 8, 1977, he was married to Kaye Brown, who survives him at their home in Thomasville. Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Sean (Tammy) Hegarty of San Francisco, California; four sons, Dennis Palmer II, Douglas Hunt, Jr., and Frankie Palmer, all of Thomasville, and Scott Hunt of Kernersville, North Carolina; his mother, Mrs. Marjorie Palmer of Southbury; four sisters, Ms. Claudia Short of Petersburg, Virginia, Ms. Patty Demartino and Ms. Robin Deming, both of Southbury, and Miss Dawn Palmer of White Plains, New York; five brothers, Emory "Pee Wee" Palmer, Jr., of Washington, Conn., Todd Palmer of New Fairfield, Timmy, Jody and Terry Palmer, all of Southbury; and a grandson, Derek Hunt.
Funeral services, in North Carolina, will be conducted by the Rev. Chuck Garner Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Southgate Baptist Church. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
The body will remain at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home until the hour of the service. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the home of Dennis Palmer.

Ruth Anderson
Ruth Johnson Anderson, 90, of Rochester, died late Friday night, Feb. 11, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.
She was born in Ridgefield, CT, April 18, 1909, the daughter of Carl and Louisa (Kemp) Johnson and she graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1927. She was married to Lyman E. Anderson on June 4, 1927. He died in 1998.
She was a 79-year member of the Eastern Star Mamanasco Chapter in Ridgefield, and affiliated to the Stellar Chapter in Danbury, CT. She was active in Extension clubs for 60 years.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Rodney and Yolanda Anderson of Ridgefield, and Glenn and Marie Anderson of Poultney, VT; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Rochester Federated Church, with Beverly Anderson officiating. Committal services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Rochester.

Kathleen Matta
Kathleen Christine Matta, age 83, formerly of Simeon Road, Bethel, died Saturday at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of John Fulton Matta, Sr.
Mrs. Matta was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, on April 19, 1916, a daughter of the late William and Christine (McDonnell) MacDonnell. She was raised and educated in Nova Scotia. Upon receiving her degree as a registered nurse, she immigrated to Boston, Mass. It was there that she met and married John Matta.
The Matta family moved to Connecticut in 1953.
During her nursing career, Mrs. Matta worked at Norwood Hospital, Norwood, Mass.; the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT; and Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT.
She was a parishioner of the Church of St. Mary, Bethel, CT.
Mrs. Matta is survived by her loving children, John F. Matta, Jr., Robert W. Matta, and Michael J. Matta, all of Danbury, CT, Christine L. Matta of New Milford, CT, Diane Matta-Romano of Quakertown, PA, Margaret M. Schurer of Winsted, CT, and Patricia Matta-Wrobel of Danbury, CT; and 10 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary, Bethel. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.

Richard A. Locke
Richard A. Locke, age 60, a dispatcher for the Bethel Police Department, died Thursday, February 10, 2000, at his home. Mr. Locke was the husband of Brenda (Gordon) Locke and lived at 8 Dogwood Terrace, Newtown.
Mr. Locke was born in Worcester, MA, August 26, 1939, a son of the late Ernest and Goldie (Lomax) Conyea. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Bethel Police Department for 11 years and had been a resident of Newtown for 14 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 672 in Brewster, N.Y. Mr. Locke was a hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Patricia Locke of Newtown; a brother, William Conyea of New York; and two sisters, Diane Perrelli of North Haven, CT, and Denise Beckwith of Milford, CT.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at 7 p.m. at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown.

Leo J. Rosati
Leo J. Rosati, 80, of 171 Cornwall Road, Kent, husband of Alice (Chase) Rosati, died Saturday at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Rosati was born in New Milford, Oct. 3, 1919, a son of the late Leo and Pearl (Dwi) Rosati, and he graduated from New Milford High School. He moved from New Milford to Kent in 1943. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy.
For many years, Mr. Rosati owned and operated Rosati Builders, a company which built homes in the greater New Milford/Kent area.
He was a former member of the Kent Board of Finance and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Kent.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Leigh R. Peet of Kent; a brother, Vincent Rosati of New Milford; a sister, Laura Sega also of New Milford; two grandchildren, Tanya and Melanie Peet; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Frances R. Dodd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Kent. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Kent, in the spring.

Robert Frederick
Robert Allen Frederick, age 71, husband of Eunice (Goundrey) Frederick of 172 Taunton Hill Road, Newtown, died Friday, February 11, 2000, in Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Frederick was born in Allentown, PA, July 10, 1928, a son of the late Harry and Mildred (Reinhard) Frederick. He was raised in Binghamton, NY, and was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School Class of 1946 and Binghamton University. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a photographer.
He had a long career in retail management. A resident of Newtown since 1967, Mr. Frederick was employed as general manager for the D.M. Read Department Stores in Danbury, CT, and in New York State until his retirement. He then had a career as a real estate broker in Newtown.
Mr. Frederick was a former member of the board of directors of Danbury Hospital and a former member of the Danbury Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Jefferson Masonic Lodge No. 332 AF & AM in Watkins Glen, NY.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Leslie D. Hurst (Charles) of Cheshire, CT, and Celeste L. Frederick-Wein (G. Robert) of Middletown, RI; and four grandchildren, Austin and Sawyer Hurst and Stephanie and Hillary Wein. Mr. Frederick was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley A. Frederick, and by his brother, Walter A. Frederick.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, with the Rev. Steven Gordon officiating. Interment will be in Newtown Village Cemetery in the spring.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Mary A. Wrenn
Mary A. Wrenn, former vice president and managing director of Merrill Lynch, died Thursday, February 10, 2000 in her home in Easton, Conn., following a long illness. She was 74 years old.
Miss Wrenn was a longtime resident of Greenwich, Conn. and New York City before moving to Easton five years ago. Born in Danbury, Conn., Miss Wrenn was the daughter of the late Delia Kelley Wrenn and Andrew Wrenn.
She was an accomplished businesswoman who was said to have forged new paths for women in the male dominated investment banking business. She was elected the first woman vice President of any worldwide investment firm in 1967 and the first woman Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in 1978.
Miss Wrenn was a magna cum laude graduate of Albertus Magnus College, New Haven, Conn. and received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from that college in 1977. She also held graduate degrees in Economics and Banking and Finance from New York University.
Miss Wrenn was predeceased by her brother, William A. Wrenn and her two sisters, Joan D. Wrenn and Elizabeth Wrenn Richter. She is survived by four nieces, Catherine Wrenn Gombos of Easton, Conn., Patricia Wrenn Murphy of Redding, Conn., Elizabeth Wrenn Adams of Plano, Texas, and Mary Wrenn Cordeiro of Bristol, R.I., two nephews, Kevin P. Wrenn of Boston, Mass., and Christopher W. Wrenn of Monroe, Conn., and her sister-in-law, Lillian T. Wrenn of Monroe, CT. She also leaves behind 12 great nephews and nieces.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 15, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame of Easton Church, Morehouse Road, Easton, Conn. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury, Conn.
