Adriana Migiano
Adriana (Baccarini) Migiano, 86, of 642 Danbury Road, Ridgefield, and formerly of Danbury, died Friday at the Laurelwood Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Hugo Migiano.
Mrs. Migiano was born in Gonzaga, Italy, Feb. 18, 1913, daughter of the late Guido and Maria Baccarini. She attended schools in Italy and then moved to the United States in 1934.
She was a member of St. Peter Church in Danbury.
Survivors include three sons, Cesare Migiano of Newtown, Guido Migiano of Roxbury and Mario Migiano of Danbury; a sister, Amabile Lepori of Italy; eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the morning of Feb. 19, Saturday, at 9:00 at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.

Theresa Barbara Kundrath
Theresa Barbara Kundrath, 88, died February 8th at Southport Manor Convalescent Home, Southport, Conn. following a protracted battle with Alzheimer's.
She was the widow of Michael Kundrath, a lifelong Bridgeport/Fairfield resident. Theresa was born and educated in New York City where she worked as a fashion designer. After her marriage in 1942, she moved to Bridgeport where she became a licensed insurance agent and a principal with Stephen Kundrath & Company for more than 30 years.
In 1950, the family moved to Fairfield. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, Theresa was an extraordinary homemaker. She was also active with the local PTA, was a Cub Scout Den mother and served as political volunteer for the Democratic town party.
Theresa is survived by her son, Michael, of Brookfield, Vermont, her daughter, Diana K. Broderick of New Milford, Conn., a cousin, Ilse Brunn of Long Island, N.Y., a niece, Kathleen Cunningham and a nephew, John Eller.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Alice M. Dunlavy
Alice M. Dunlavy, 94, departed this life on Sunday, February 13, 2000 at New Milford Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born in New Fairfield, November 6, 1905, a daughter of the late P. Frank and Minne B. Durgy Dunlavy, both formerly of New Fairfield. Her formal education was in the Danbury schools, including several grades in a one-room school house in the King Street area of town. An avid reader, she continued to educate herself through books and educational TV right up to the time of her death.
Most of her working years were spent working for the Mallory Hat Factory, where she sewed the fancy trim on men's fine hats. At the time of the factory's closing she was forelady of the department. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Danbury for over 50 years and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Miss Dunlavy made her home at 79 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury with her niece Janet Hamlin and her husband, Edward Hamlin. She was lovingly devoted to her family and was especially close to the children.
In addition to her niece, she is survived by her sister, Elsie M. Sturges of Danbury and a nephew, Peter Sturges of Taos, New Mexico. Also surviving are great nephews, Robert and Richard Hamlin of Danbury and Thomas Hamlin of Sloatsburg, N.Y.; as well as several other great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Dunlavy and a sister, Anna Dunlavy Flye.

The funeral will be held at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, Tuesday morning, February 15 at 11:00 with the Rev. Mary Louise Howson, from the First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Hull Home, during the hour preceding the service, from 10:00 to 11:00.
Richard A. Locke
Richard A. Locke, age 60, a dispatcher for the Bethel Police Department, died Thursday, February 10, 2000, at his home. Mr. Locke was the husband of Brenda (Gordon) Locke and lived at 8 Dogwood Terrace, Newtown.
Mr. Locke was born in Worcester, MA, August 26, 1939, a son of the late Ernest and Goldie (Lomax) Conyea. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Bethel Police Department for 11 years and had been a resident of Newtown for 14 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 672 in Brewster, N.Y. Mr. Locke was a hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Erica Locke of Newtown; a brother, William Conyea of New York; and two sisters, Diane Perrelli of North Haven, CT, and Denise Beckwith of Milford, CT.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at 7 p.m. at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown.

William J. Darling Jr.
William J. Darling Jr., 38, of 1 Maloney Lane, New Milford, husband of Michelle (Walsh) Darling, died Sunday, February 13 at the New Milford Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Darling was born in Ithaca, New York November 21, 1961, a son of Marie (Feathers) Darling of New Milford and the late William J Darling. He graduated from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury in 1986.
Mr. Darling was a Psychiatric Case Manager-Counselor in the Responsive Service Program at Danbury Hospital.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Evan Mitchell Darling and Shawn Patrick Darling, both of New Milford; three sisters, Sheryl Moynihan of New Milford, Beverly Whitmore and Donna Matson, both of Kent; and three nieces and three nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford. Interment will be in the Center Cemetery, New Milford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday after 9:30 a.m.
George A. Tomey
Mr. George A. Tomey, 85, of Southbury, died Sunday, February 13th at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Eleanor (Schiavone) Tomey.
Mr. Tomey was born March 17, 1914 in Utica, N.Y., son of the late William and Rose (Corey) Tomey. He founded the Southbury Food Center in 1950, after having operated smaller markets in Sandy Hook and Woodbury since 1936. He was well known for his generosity toward community projects and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves two sons, Edward J. Tomey of Keene, N.H. and David A. Tomey of Winchester, Mass.; two daughters, Kristine A. Tomey and Patricia E. Tarnowicz, both of Southbury; one sister, Julia Bibb of Goshen; and eight grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Huff, Scott, Susie and Alex Tarnowicz, all of Southbury; Stephanie and Megan Tomey of Winchester, Mass. and Joshua Tomey of Keene, N.H.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Main Street South, Southbury. Calling hours: Tuesday, February 15th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the daily chapel of the church. Burial in New North Cemetery, Woodbury, in the spring. Ruth E. Wills
Ruth E. Wills, 102, of Danbury, a former 75 year resident of Ridgefield, died Sunday, February 13, 2000 at the Mediplex Nursing Facility in Danbury. She was born September 10, 1897 in Monson, Mass., daughter of the late George E. and Emma D. (Maguire) Wills. Ruth graduated from the Monson Academy, Class of 1916 and from Colby College in Maine and moved to Ridgefield where she taught English, Latin and German for over 50 years. She retired from the Ridgefield School System. Ruth was fluent in several languages and is one of very few people to have lived in three centuries. As of her 102nd birthday, Ruth became the oldest member of the 1st Church of Monson.
She is survived by a special friend and caregiver, Betty Caillouette of Bethel and other friends and former neighbors in Monson, Mass.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Evans Wills.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 16 in the Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St., Monson, Mass. The Reverend Mark Kennedy, pastor from 1st Church of Monson, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Monson, Mass. Visiting will be held Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of the services at the funeral home. Mary Sherwood Lamporte
Mary Sherwood Lamporte, 61, a woman of indomitable spirit and boundless generosity, died of lung cancer at her home in Burke, Virginia, Thursday, February 10.
A volunteer all her life, she spent the last 16 years working with Burke United Methodist Church. She became part of their lay Ministry as a Stephen Minister in 1997 and headed up many committees including new members, concerns and prayer chain. Other important volunteer activities included PTA President and Little League Co-President in Chula Vista, California.
Mary was born in Danbury, the daughter of Janet and Burton F. Sherwood, a prominent attorney. She lived much of her childhood moving throughout New England. Mary received a BA from Marietta College in Ohio and a MA from Western Connecticut State University in Education. She taught elementary school in Bethel from 1961 to 1964. In October 1964, she married a Naval Officer at First Congregational Church in Danbury. Mary traveled with her husband to various duty stations including Connecticut, Taiwan, Rhode Island, California, Maine, South Carolina and Virginia. She was known as a dedicated, upbeat and supportive wife and mother. An enthusiastic golfer and member of the Army-Navy Country Club in Virginia, she also enjoyed bowling, golf, yahtzee and laughing as much as possible.
She is survived by her husband, Captain Richard A. Lamporte U.S.N., retired, of Burke, Virginia; daughter, Lisa L. Baker of Smithfield, North Carolina; son, Richard B. Lamporte of Washington, D.C.; son, Peter S. Lamporte of Concord, California and two granddaughters, Siera Marie and Daley Hope Baker of Smithfield, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends at Demaine Springfield Annandale Chapel, Backlick and Edsall Rds., Springfield, Va., on Thursday, February 17, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at Burke United Methodist Church, 6200 Burke Center Parkway, Burke, VA 22015, at 12 noon. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Burke United Methodist Church, c/o Mary S. Lamporte Memorial Fund.
M. Linda Davies
M. Linda Davies, 90, of 17 Ramapoo Hill Road, Ridgefield, died on Sunday, February 13, 2000 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing, Mansfield.
Miss Davies was born in Ridgefield, December 24, 1909, a daughter of the late William and Jane (Tait) Davies.
She attended Ridgefield schools, Columbia Teacher's College and Fairfield University. Miss Davies was a retired educator of the Ridgefield Public School System after forty-two years of service.
Miss Davies was a member of the Sunshine Society of Ridgefield, the Keeler Tavern Preservation Society, the O.W.L.S. Friend of the Ridgefield Library, the former Ridgefield Grange, the Connecticut Teacher's Association and of the First Congregational Church where she was a member of the Women's Fellowship.
In 1978, Miss Davies was selected as a senior intern to serve the U.S. Congress at Washington, D.C., as a representative of the 5th Congressional District.
She was an avid traveler and a person who maintained a vast knowledge of the history and people of Ridgefield.
Miss Davies will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for her humor and wit.
She is survived by a sister, Ann Davies Smith of Ashford and many nieces and nephews, including Patricia Piatek and her husband, Joseph, Cheryl Hebblewaite and her husband, Russell and Janet Conley and her husband, Thomas as well as William Tilden and his wife, Elizabeth.
Many grandnieces and grandnephews also survive of which Miss Davies absolutely adored.
Funeral services will take place in the First Congregational Church of Ridgefield on Thursday at 1 p.m.
Interment will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery, Ridgefield in the spring.
The family will receive friends in Lund Hall of the Congregational Church following the service.

John Tsahakis
John Tsahakis, age 73, of 11 Candlelight Dr., Danbury, died Sunday at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Annamarie White Tsahakis.
Mr. Tsahakis was born in the Bronx, N.Y., March 20, 1926, a son of the late Andonius and Sophia Valakris Tsahakis. He served in the Army during World War II and had lived in the Bronx before moving to Bethel and then to Danbury. He worked for over 15 years at Heli-Coil in Danbury until his retirement 8 years ago. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church in Danbury.
Mr. Tsahakis is survived by his daughter, Annamarie Tsahakis of Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
Roger J. Arguello
Roger J. Arguello, 65, husband of Laura (Snow) Arguello of 2 Pamela Lane, Danbury, died at the Danbury Hospital on Tuesday morning.
He was born in New York City, October 23, 1934, son of Elizabeth (Minnielli) Arguello of Danbury and the late Roger V.F. Arguello. Mr. Arguello grew up in New York and was a graduate of Styveson High School in 1952. He then graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnical University in 1956 and received his masters degree from Brooklyn Poly in 1959. He went to work for the Perkin-Elmer Corporation in 1964 and retired from Hughes Optical Co. in 1995 as a Senior Optical Scientist. He was a member of many professional organizations and had been a guest lecturer at many seminars and universities.
In addition to his mother and his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Marie Fiddner and her husband, Robert of New Milford and Elizabeth Corson and her husband, Michael J. also of New Milford; two sons, Roger V. Arguello of Danbury and Christopher S. Arguello and his wife, Karla of Indianapolis, Indiana; four grandsons, Donald, Christopher and Peter Fiddner and Michael J. Corson Jr. and three granddaughters, Alison Fiddner and Ashley and Ryann Arguello.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Danbury on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.
