John Dorsett Jr., 42, John Jay graduate
John David Dorsett Jr. of Kent died Sunday, April 15, from injuries sustained when he was struck by a falling tree while driving. He was 42.
Mr. Dorsett was born Sept. 29, 1964, in Mount Kisco, the son of John and Mary Elizabeth (Egan) Dorsett. He was a graduate of John Jay High School, and attended Keystone Junior College and Mercy College.
He was a retired New York Police Department detective with the Crime Scene Unit and lately was employed by the Carmel Central School District as a security officer.
He is survived by his parents, and was the brother of Mary Byrne of Katonah, Elizabeth Repp of Lincolndale and George Dorsett of Alexandria, Va.
Mr. Dorsett was the devoted uncle of Jennifer, Billy, David, Robert, and Jack.
Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Katonah on Friday at 10.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Somers.
Anthony Cascio, 82, father of resident
Anthony R. Cascio of Danbury, Conn., died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, April 9. He was 82, the husband of the late Martha C. (Spinelli) Cascio, and the father of Bruce Cascio, and his wife, Melinda, of South Salem.
He was born in New York City on Feb. 20, 1925, son of the late Benjamin and Rose (Grillo) Cascio.
Mr. Cascio was a sewing machine mechanic who operated the family business in the Garment District of New York City for more than 30 years.
He was a very active man who swam three times a week at the YMCA in Danbury. He was an avid bowler and started a card playing group at the Danbury Senior Center.
A devout Catholic, Mr. Cascio was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury.
He will be sadly missed, his family said.
In addition to his son, he is survived by his three daughters Roseann Press and her husband, David, with whom he made his home in Danbury, Lorraine Wright and her husband, David, of White Plains, and Nancy Cascio of Elmsford; and his eight grandchildren Andy, Patrick, Martha, Lily, Madeline, Jennifer, Sean and Amethyst. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jean Bucolo; his granddaughter, Tara Wright; and his brother, Thomas Cascio.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 13, at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Valhalla. Buril in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven cemetery will follow.
Matthew Schall, 21, former resident
Matthew William Schall of New Fairfield, Conn. died on Aug. 1 after an automobile accident. He was 21 and a former resident of Lewisboro.
Mr. Schall was born Sept. 15, 1985, the son of William and Stephanie (Di Martino) Schall, in Mount Kisco.
He graduated from New Fairfield High School in 1999. Mr. Schall attended Western Connecticut State University and was currently enrolled at Central Connecticut State University studying construction management. He worked at Gil’s Auto Repair in New Fairfield to assist with his college education.
Mr. Schall’s family said he will be remembered for his love of Jeep Wranglers, wakeboarding, and taking care of his reptiles and amphibians.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Schall is survived by his sisters, Christine Schall of New Fairfield and Emily Schall of New Fairfield; a brother, Michael of New Fairfield; grandmother Stella Di Martino; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday at St. Edward the Confessor. Church interment followed at the Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Troop 137, 1 Frisbee Street, New Fairfield, CT 06812.
Richard D. Sikorsky, 43, grew up in South Salem
Richard D. Sikorsky of Plainfield, Conn. died on Friday, July 27 at his home. He was 43 and a former resident of South Salem, where he grew up.
Born in the Bronx, Mr. Sikorsky is the son of the late Stephen D. and Helen M. (Przybilla) Sikorsky.
He worked as a warehouse manager for many years at Colibri Corporation in Cranston, RI.
Mr. Sikorsky is survived by his former wife, Lisa, his two children, Matthew D. and Kristen D. of West Warwick, R.I., a brother, Stephen K. of Coventry, R.I., a sister, Deborah L. Howes of Hope, R.I., and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Robert A. Iannotti Funeral Home at 415 Washington St. in Coventry, R.I. with a funeral service to follow at 7. Burial will be private.

Viseslav Mihailovic, 80, storyteller
Viseslav (Vic) Mihailovic, a resident of Goldens Bridge for 35 years, died on July 16. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Mihailovic was born on May 3, 1927 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He worked for IBM as a financial analyst.
He was educated in law school in Europe and attended City College. He was a member of the New York Sheet Music Society and Lewisboro Seniors. He will be remembered for his interest in antique collecting and popular music, and telling stories, his family said.
Mr. Mihailovic is survived by his wife, Ingrid, daughter, Laura Mihailovic, son, Andrew, and a number of relatives in Serbia including a sister, Bella.
A memorial service will be held at The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 15 South Bedford Road, Mt. Kisco on Saturday, July 28 at 1 p.m.

Marjorie B. Clark, 81, of Cross River
Marjorie Brown Clark, a resident of Cross River for 35 years and formerly of Katonah, died on Monday, July 23 at Waterview Hills Nursing Home. Se was 81.
Ms. Clark was born Oct. 13, 1925 in Mount Kisco, the daughter of the late David Davidson Brown and the late Florence (Scofield) Brown.
She was a graduate of Katonah High School and was employed by Readers Digest in Pleasantville, in clerical work and previously for the New York Telephone Co.
Ms. Clark will be remembered for her generosity, love of family and her caring ways, her family said. She acted as a “mom” to her brothers and sisters following the death of their mother when she was eight years old.
She was the wife of the late William Clark who predeceased her in 2000.
Ms. Clark is the sister of Doris Hipkins and her husband, Robert, of Katonah, Deborah Douglas and her husband, Donald, of Marco Island, Fla., David W. Brown of Katonah, Richard S. Brown and his wife, Elizabeth, of Katonah, and Jeffrey Brown of Katonah; and aunt of Robert, David, Carolann, Richard, Barbara, Jennifer, Peter, John and Susan. She is also survived by her great nieces and many grand nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah.
The funeral will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at South Salem cemetery in South Salem.
