Francis B. Deming
Francis B. Deming, 80, a long time Berlin resident, died May 29 at home.
Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Henry and Margery (Brandegee) Deming. He was formerly employed at Rowland Products which became Rowmark, before retiring. He was a member of Berlin Congregational Church, where he had served as a deacon, served on the church council, and was a member of the choir. He attended Bible study and prayer group, was active with World Vision and Youth Challenge in Hartford, and was a member of Full Gospel Business Men.
Surviving are his cousins, Edith Deming Wilson of Southington and Elizabeth Deming Nelson of Berlin.
Memorial donations may be made to Berlin Congregational Church. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, was in charge of arrangements.
Tammy Jewett
Tammy L. Jewett, 28, of East Road, died June 2, 2004.
She was born in New Britain on April 8, 1976 the daughter of Giles Jewett Jr. and Shirley (Tabor) Houghtaling.
She was a resident of Southington for most of her life.
In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by a daughter, Kiera Keyowski; her stepfather, Frank Houghtaling; two sisters, Lisa Jewett and Shelly Lachance and her husband Jay; a brother, Wayne Jewett and his wife Gina; nieces and nephews, Joshua Jewett, Jennifer Jewett, Ashlee Jewett, Michael Jewett and Kayla Lachance.
The funeral was held June 8 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Kiera Keyowski scholarship fund, C/O Webster Bank, 132 Main St. Southington 06489.
Albert Ludecke
Albert Ludecke, 96, formerly of 343 Carter Lane, died June 3, 2004 at Brittany Farms Health Center in New Britain. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Thureson) Ludecke. Born November 21, 1907 in Southington son of the late Albert and Marie (Kornhaus) Ludecke. He had worked at Peck Stowe & Wilcox and then retired from the Southington Hardware Co.
He had been a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church. He is survived by his children, Linda Gray and her husband John of Southington, David P. Ludecke and his wife Edwina of South Windsor and William A. Ludecke and his wife Judy of Southington; two sisters, Ruth Sterry and Marie Skinner, both of Southington; 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a twin brother Frederick, and brothers Edward, Kenneth and Henry; two sisters, Emma Filakovsky and Louise Robinson. The funeral was June 5 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, with burial at South End Cemetery.
Anne M. Peronace
Anne M. (Carbo) Peronace, 87, of 35 Greenlawn Ave. died May 31, 2004 at Southington Care Center. She was the wife of Nicholas V. Peronace for 64 years. Born in New Britain on October 29, 1916 the daughter of the late John and Mary (Palumbo) Carbo. Prior to her retirement in 1970 she was employed by G.E. in Plainville for over 30 years. She was a member of the G.E. retirement club called Genra and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and the AARP of Newington. She loved to sew and knit.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Lorene Peronace of Southington; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Peronace of Berlin; six grandchildren, Roylyn and her husband Michael Stefanski, Darcy and her husband Thomas Pizzitola, Donald Peronace and his wife Sarah, Richard Peronace and his fiancée Janet Parlato, Stephen Peronace and his wife Jessica, Michael Peronace and his wife Amy; six great grandchildren, Michael, Lia, Makayla, Laini, Livvy and Madison; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Peronace, and brothers Michael, Frank and Tony Carbo. Burial was be in Maple cemetery in Berlin. Memorial donations may be made to the Richard N. Stanley Stanek
Stanley Stanek, 85, of Plantsville died June 7, 2004 at Bradley Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Sophie (Wojninicz) Stanek. He was born on Oct. 27, 1918 in Southington the son of the late John and Mary (Egnatovich) Stanek. After high school he volunteered for the Civilian Conservation Corp and was stationed in Pueblo, Co. He was Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy during WWII serving as a radio operator on the USS Rogers and witnessed the surrender of Japan in Tokyo Bay at VJ Day. Prior to his retirement he was the owner and operator of Stanek's Public Grill in Plantsville for more than 40 years. He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Church. He was a Commissioner of the Southington Fire Department and served as chairman for several terms. He was a former member of the Democratic Town Committee. He was a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post #72 and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Robert S. Stanek and his wife J.D. of Farmington; a daughter, Barbara Butler and her husband of Scotch Plains, N.J.; a sister, Mary Heanssler of Deer Isle, Maine; grandchildren, Cathleen Butler and her husband Christopher, D'Orsi Gregory and his wife Mora Butler, Robert S. Stanek Jr. and Elizabeth V. Stanek; a great granddaughter, Jane Butler; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna and Frank Drozd, their daughter Irene Conrad and her husband Edward; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson William Bartley Butler II; a brother, John Stanek; sisters, Stella Krumm and Helen Witkovic. The funeral was June 11 from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home to St. Aloysius Church. Burial followed at St. Thomas cemetery with Military honors. Yolande Casey
Yolande Marie "Yo" (Lessard) Casey, 69, of Windsor, died Aug. 12, 2004, at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of David J. Casey.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Christopher Casey and his wife, Danielle, of Amston; two grandchildren, Sean Ryan Casey and Benjamin Thomas Casey; her sisters, Claude Marie and her husband, Michael Bartelmes, and Diane and her husband, Conrad Sirois, all of Southington; her sister-in-law, Patricia and her husband, Robert Rubega, and Rosemary Casey, all of Groton, Ann and her husband, William Griffith of Bloomfield, Maureen and her husband, William Bormkowski, of Tucson, Ariz., and Sister Sheila Casey of Suffield; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Aug. 16 at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, Windsor, followed by a mass at St. Gabriel Church, Windsor. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. Edmund Dekutowski
Edmund J. Dekutowski, 78, of Southington, died Aug. 13, 2004. He was the husband of Dorothy Maksimczyk Dekutowski.
He was born in Hartford on May 12, 1926, a son of the late Konstanty and Marianna (Krawiec) Dekutowski. He had been a Southington resident for 45 years.
He served his country in the Air Force during World War II. He retired in 1985 from the Southington Board of Education after 40 years of teaching at Hatton School, where he was fondly known as "Mr. D" to his students.
He also taught remedial reading at DePaolo Junior High School for three years. He was a member of St. Thomas Church, the Falcons Club, the American Legion, the Connecticut Education Association and the National Education Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters; Janine Falco of Plantsville, Kathleen Cook and her husband, Kevin, of Terryville and Laura Madden and her husband, Bill, with whom he lived for the last eight months in Charlestown, R.I.; one son and his wife, John and Sarah Dekutowski of Stockbridge, Ga., and one brother and sister-in-law, John and Glenna Decker of Newington; three grandchildren, Leanne Falco, Andrew and Danielle Dekutowski; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, Plantsville, is in charge of arrangements.

Andrea DelSanto
Andrea "Andy" DelSanto, 68, of Southington, died Aug. 11, 2004, at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven. He was the husband of Maria (Mormile) DelSanto for 40 years.
He was born in Castel Campagnano, province of Caserta, Italy, on June 19, 1936, and was the son of the late Antonio and Carmelinda (Marcuccio) DelSanto. He came to the United States in 1961. He was a self-employed tailor and was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Linda Brino and her husband, Pat; and son, Antonio DelSanto; grandchildren, Nicholas and James Brino; and a sister, Nina Pascariello and her husband, Domenic, all of Southington; along with several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Aug. 14 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home and at St. Thomas Church, Southington, for a Mass. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Mildred DeWolf
Mildred (Lucille) DeWolf, 92, died Aug. 15, 2004, at Cedar Hill Nursing Home in Brownsville, Vt. She was the wife of the late Linton S. DeWolf.
She was born May 1, 1912, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine Coronata Diguilio. She moved from Meriden in 2000 to live with her daughter, Lucille, in Vermont.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucille Plausteiner and her husband, John Plausteiner, of Brownsville, Vt.; two sisters, Grace Tarrantino of Plantsville and Ann Cannata of Southington; six grandsons; Steven Plausteiner, Timothy Plausteiner, Keith DeWolf, Todd DeWolf, Wayne DeWolf and Troy DeWolf; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jack DeWolf. A Mass was celebrated Aug. 19 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Meriden. Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, Meriden, was in charge of arrangements.
Helen Fischer
Helen Fischer, 95, of the Weatogue section of Simsbury, died Aug. 1, 2004, at Plainville Health Care Center in Plainville.
She was born Jan. 29, 1909, in Hartford, a daughter of the late William and Dora (Seltenreich) Fischer. She was employed as a private secretary at Olivetti Underwood Corp. for many years before her retirement.
She is survived by three nieces, Jean Weller and Helen Dardis, both of Southington, and Rae E. Frank Miller of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; four grandnieces and grandnephews; and seven great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Her sister, Elsie Geary of Weatogue, died Aug. 4.
