Mabel H. Bradley
Mabel (Holt) Bradley, 96, formerly of Stonegate Road, Southington, died Nov. 25, 2004, at Plainville Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Nathan Bradley.
Born in Dover Foxcroft, Maine on July 17, 1908, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mable (Rogers) Holt, she had been a local resident for the past 28 years and was retired from the Hartford Public School System. Before being a longtime member of Plainville Congregational Church, she was a member of the Blue Hills Baptist Church in Hartford, where she was also a member of the Willing Workers Ladies Group.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Pauline "Polly" and Ed Sauer of Southington and Nancy Gallucci of Newington; six grandchildren, Brenda Houghton, Duane Sauer, Donna Duffy, David Sauer, Peter Gallucci and Debra Mayhugh; and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Trevor, Victoria and Zachary. She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 27 at Plainville Congregational Church. Burial was in Bellevue cemetery in Adams, Mass. on Nov. 29. Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy T. Dubinsky
Dorothy T. Dubinsky, 86, of Manor Road, Southington, formerly of Ansonia, died Nov. 26, 2004, at home. She was the wife of the late John A. Dubinsky Sr.
She was born Sept. 3, 1918 in East Windsor, daughter of the late John and Helen (Gelzinas) Titus. She received her bachelor's degree from the American International College of Springfield, Mass. She was a high school teacher for the Shelton and Ansonia school systems and was a Cub Scout leader for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Anthony's Church of Ansonia and was a member and past president of the church's Ladies' Guild.
She is survived by two sons, Jay Dubinsky and his wife, Sheila, of Plantsville and James P. Dubinsky of Glenolden, Pa.; two daughters, Dorothy Ward and her husband, Gerald, of Campville, N.Y. and Ellen Dubinsky of Bristol; a sister, Pauline Putriment of East Windsor; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Constantine Titus.
The funeral was held Dec. 1 from Jenkins-King Funeral Home in Ansonia to St. Anthony's Church of Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial followed in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.

Frank Fammartino
Frank Fammartino, 83, of Hartford, died Nov. 24, 2004, at home. He was the husband of Theresa (Femia) Fammartino.
Born in Reggio, Calabria, Italy, son of the late Domenico and
MariaRosa (Caracciolo) Fammartino, he had lived in the area for many years. He was a mason who retired from Union Member Connecticut Local 1 after more than 30 years. He was an Italian Army veteran of World War II and he served in the Russian Front. He was also a German POW for two years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Dominick Fammartino and his wife, Joanne, of Wethersfield, Robert Fammartino and his wife, Lynn, of Newington, and Joseph Fammartino of Rocky Hill; a brother and sister-in-law, Rocco and Teresa Fammartino of Italy; sisters, Teresa Iemma of Australia, and Marianna Papandrea and her husband, Pasquale, of Argentina; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Mathew Fammartino; nephews, Dominic Fammartino of Southington and Domenico Fammartino of Italy; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Vincenzo and Salvatore Fammartino.
The funeral was held on Nov. 27, from D'Esopo Funeral Chapel in Wethersfield to St. Luke's Church, Hartford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.

Clarence E. Gullifer
Clarence E. Gullifer, 91, of 398 Hobart St., died Nov. 24, 2004 at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Velma ( MacKay) Gullifer.
Born on March 19, 1913 in Waterville, Maine, he was the son of the late Wallace and Susan ( Bickford) Gullifer.
He was worked as a mechanic at Mitchell Motors Ford from the time it opened in the 1950's until it closed it's doors. He was also a member of the Bristol Elks Lodge 1010.
He is survived by three children, Wilma Pouliot and her husband, Henry, and Donald Gullifer and his wife, Cheryl, all of Fairfield, Maine, and Donna Pali and her husband, Francis, of Southington; a brother, Lloyd Gullifer of Southington; three sisters, Lucille Grenier of Waterville, Maine, Beverly Howes of Orono, Maine, and Lee Leavitt of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Gerald Gullifer; a daughter, Jacqueline Ramsdell; a brother, Merton Gullifer; and two sisters, Irene Fisher and Grace Marks.
Services were held Nov. 28, 2004, at DellaVecchia Funeral Home. Burial was in Tozier cemetery in Maine.

Alfreda M. Kurn
Alfreda "Freda" (Maleski) Kurn, 82, of Newington, died Nov. 27, 2004, at New Britain General Hospital. She was the wife for 59 years of Edward Kurn.
She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Matthew and Marie (Samorajczyk) Maleski and was a resident of Newington for most of her life. She was formerly employed by the State of Connecticut and the Art Press, in New Britain, until her retirement. She was member of Holy Spirit Church, the Holy Spirit Church Ladies Guild, the Newington Fire Dept. Auxilliary, the Newington Democratic Women's Club and the Newington Seniors.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Shirley Dancsak of Plantsville; two sisters, Marie Oskinis and Helen Esberg, both of New Britain; three grandchildren, Susan Dancsak and Ed Dancsak, both of Plantsville, and Joe Dancsak Jr. and his wife, Heather, of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Christine Bogdan.
The funeral was held on Dec. 1, at Newington Memorial funeral home and was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church in Newington. Burial was in West Meadow Cemetery.
Elvezia (Tavoloni) Labanauskas
Elvezia (Tavoloni) Labanauskas of Florida, formerly of Southington, died Nov. 20, 2004, in Florida. She was the widow of Edward Labanauskas.
She was born in Italy, daughter of the late Angelo and Ferminia (Scarponi) Tavoloni.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Haigh of Southington; her son, Robert Labanauskas of Boston, Mass.; a grandson, James Haigh of Pennsylvania; and a sister, Marcella Palumbo of Glastonbury. She was predeceased by a brother, Elio Tavoloni.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Windsor. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford. Callahan Funeral Home, East Hartford, was in charge of arrangements.
Eva Rose LaMothe
Eva Rose (Dube) LaMothe, 99, of Southington, formerly of Bristol, died Nov. 23, 2004, at Southington Care Center. She was the widow of Edward LaMothe.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1905, in New Bedford, Mass., a daughter of the late Francois X. and Lizziane (Cyr) Dube. She moved to Bristol in 1950 before settling in Southington 23 years ago. She was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, and the Ladies of St. Ann Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Goralski of Bristol; a son-in-law, Harry Goralski of Southington; five grandchildren and their spouses, Brian and Catharine Goralski, John and Gwen Goralski, and Michael and Kristin Goralski, all of Southington, and LoriAnn and Michael Stone and KristiAnn and Ian Stergiotis, all of Bristol; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, John Jr., Michael Jr. and Adam Goralski, all of Southington, and Amanda and Marissa Stone and Christos Stergiotis, all of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Annette Goralski; a son-in-law, Frank Goralski; three brothers, Armand, Joseph, and Roger Dube; and a sister, Alma Dube.
The funeral was held Nov. 27, from Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, to St. Ann Church, Bristol, for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.

Dr. Eileen Lord
Dr. Eileen Lord, 88, formerly of 34 Hobart St., died Nov. 22. 2004, at Southington Care Center.
She was born Aug. 5, 1916 in New York, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (McHugh) Lord. She received her B.A. degree from Hunter College, her Masters from Columbia University and her Doctorate from New York University and the University of Madrid. She was a Professor of Art History for over forty years, including twelve at Manhattanville College in Westchester, N.Y., and the University of Bridgeport, from which she retired. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
She is survived by a brother, James Lord of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Sister Mary Bignia Lord of Sisters of Charity, and Virginia Huber and Deloris Lord; and two brothers, Edward and John Lord.
Graveside services were Dec. 2 in St. Thomas Cemetery. DellaVecchia Funeral Home was in care of the arrangements.
