Entered into rest eternal Dec. 2, 2006, Adolph John Giampapa, 84, of 23 Notkins St., Hamden. Widower of Rosemarie Onofrio Giampapa; father of Connie (Albert) Giampapa-Pini, Chris (Frank) Giampapa-Cirillo and Debora (John) Giampapa-Riccio, all of Hamden; grandfather of Michelle and Brooke Pini; brother of Frances Fortuna and Anthony Giampapa, both of Hamden, Rose Downey of California and Joseph Giampapa of Little River, S.C. Adolph also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Born in New Haven on Jan. 8, 1922, he was a son of the late Phillip and Carmela Manganella Giampapa. Adolph was a deliveryman for Marcus Dairy and a former co-owner of Randy’s Family Bakery. He was a member of the Teamster’s Union, Local 443.
Funeral in Hamden Memorial, 1300 Dixwell Ave., Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. with a mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. Friends may call the funeral home Tuesday from 5 pm. to 8 p.m. Burial will take place in Centerville Cemetery. Gabriel James Ingenito
Entered into rest eternal Nov. 23, 2006, Gabriel James Ingenito, 88, of 63 Village Circle, Hamden. Husband of Ena Hyman Ingenito and brother of Eleanor Popolizio of New Haven, Gabriel is survived by a niece Barbara (Robert) Marchetto of North Branford and a devoted nephew John (Carol) Popolizio of Hamden and also great nieces, Melissa Popolizio and Jacquelin Marchetto and great nephew, Paul Popolizio.
Gabriel was the perfect “man” -- both gentle and kind -- and his family would like to thank the Hamden Health Care Center for all the kindness and loving care extended to them during this time. Gabriel was a World War II Army veteran and a retired salesman for Elm City Auto Electric and Mac Miller Clothing Store.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in Beaverdale Memorial Park, section L, New Haven. Thomas Michael Barone
Entered into rest eternal Nov. 3, 2006, Thomas Michael Barone, 45, of 51 Worth Ave., Hamden. Born in New Haven on Feb. 13, 1961, he was a son of George R. Sr. and Marie H. Stanio Barone, and brother of the late George R. Barone Jr. He is survived by a niece, Ashley Barone of Branford, and very good friends James and Karen Keating of Orange.
Thomas was a volunteer at St. Raphael’s Hospital and was also active in community service with Sacred Heart Academy.

Angelo Dell’Aquila
Entered into rest eternal Oct. 28, 2006, Angelo Dell’Aquila, 79, of 835 Mix Ave. (formerly of Bank Street) Hamden. Husband of Theresa L. Marino Dell’Aquila; father of Doreen (Karl) Wagner of Easton, Pa., Lucille Barbieri of North Haven and Lynda (Edward) Montesi of Madison; brother of Mary Navaroli of Manchester, Nicholas Dell’Aquila of Ocala, Fla., Anthony Dell’Aquila of West Springfield, Mass., and the late Pauline Mills; also survived by seven grandchildren.
Born in Enfield, Jan. 20, 1927, he was a son of the late Sebastian and Pauline Gallo Dell’Aquila. Angelo was a truck driver for the former C.W. Blakeslee Company in Branford for 25 years before his retirement. He was also a member of the Local 443 Teamsters and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

Katharine B. “Kitty” Raban
Katharine “Kitty” Raban of Hamden passed peacefully away on Nov. 14, 2007, at the age of 98. Mrs. Raban was born Jan. 5, 1909, to the late David and Estella (Hoover) Barnett Sr., in Delta, Penn. She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Raban.
Kitty was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Raban is survived by her sons, William of Essex Junction, Vt., and Fred and wife, Susan, of Nashua, N.H.; two grandchildren, Kristin Whitworth and Meredith Paquette; three great grandchildren, Ryder Whitworth and Evan and Adam Paquette; two nephews, Robert Slater of Florida and David Barnett of Cheshire; as well as many nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joan Raban, and two brothers, William and David Barnett Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Nov.19 at 10 a.m. in Hamden Plains Cemetery, 1075 Sherman Ave. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave.
Julia Nebor
Julia A. Nebor, 96, passed away March 14, 2008. Mrs. Nebor was a longtime Hamden resident, moving here from New Haven 56 years ago. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.
Julia was born Sept. 16, 1911, to the late Peter and Tekla (Czerwiec) Frydryk in Three Rivers, Mass. Mrs. Nebor was predeceased by her husband, John Nebor; two daughters, Dorothy Campbell and Marion Landino; as well as six brothers.
Surviving are her son, John F. Nebor of Hamden, son-in-law, Robert Landino of Texas, sister, Bernise Oliveira of Three Rivers, Mass., six sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave., on Tuesday, March 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on March 19 at 9 a.m. for prayers and then proceed to Blessed Sacrament Church where the Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, North Haven. Ellen Anne Martineau-Tobin
Ellen Anne Martineau-Tobin passed away on Feb. 25, 2008, at the Arden House in Hamden after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 53.
Born in 1954 to the late Philip and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Martineau of Norwalk, she attended Central Catholic High School in Norwalk, and received a bachelor’s degree from CCSU in psychology, a master’s degree from CCSU in counseling, a sixth-year degree in school counseling from the University of Hartford, and an associate’s degree from Gateway Community College in early childhood education.
She was employed by the Diocese of Bridgeport for 13 years as a guidance counselor at Central Catholic High School in Norwalk, Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, and St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull. She also was employed for four years at the Hamden - North Haven YMCA as a caregiver in the child care center, as well as being a stay-at-home mom for four years in between jobs.
She was a member of the Mothers of Twins Association of Greater New Haven. She served as a Eucharistic minister for several years at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden. She enjoyed numerous family vacations in the New England area, especially Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.
Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Michael; two sons, Sean and Patrick; a sister Mary Beth Berkson of Chicago, Ill.; and a brother, Philip Martineau of Norwalk.

Rose Carusone
Rose Ann Carusone, 91, of Hamden passed away on Feb. 21, 2008. She was born to the late Joseph and Carmela Citterella on Aug. 7, 1916, in New Haven.
Rose had worked until 1950 at the Winchester factory in New Haven. Mrs. Carusone was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Columbiettes. She was a very caring woman, and loved to entertain and travel the United States with her family. Rose’s favorite holiday was Christmas, where she could share her joy of cooking with her friends and family during the holiday festivities.
Rose is predeceased by her husband, Michael A. Carusone, and two sisters, Eleanor Villani and Josephine Chamberlain. Surviving are her two daughters, Roseann Geleneau and husband George Jr. of Hamden and Susan M. Carusone of Meriden; and her granddaughter, Melissa Geleneau of Hamden. Esther Parisi
Esther Parisi, 90, a longtime resident of Hamden, passed away Jan. 26, 2008. Mrs. Parisi was born April 8, 1917, to the late Gennaro and Julia (Banks) DeLucia in New Haven. Esther was a loving and devoted wife and mother, having wed Vincent Parisi in 1945. She is survived by her husband, Vincent, who misses her dearly, as well as her son, Vincent M. Parisi, daughter, Joyce G. Parisi, and two grandchildren.
Vittorio Rossi
Vittorio Rossi, 91, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2008. Mr. Rossi was born on March 15, 1916, to the late Gabriele and Theresa (Calvano) Rossi in Melizzano, Italy.
Vittorio was the loving husband of Margherita (Mercone) Rossi for over 62 years. Besides his adoring wife, Mr. Rossi is survived by his son Armand E. and wife Sharon (Fusco) Rossi of Madison; loving granddaughters Kristen and Amy Rossi of Madison; and nephew Eugene Rossi of Rome, N.Y. He is predeceased by his son Gabriele Rossi, daughter, Theresa Rossi, brother, Pasquale “Patsy” Rossi, and nephew Richard Rossi. Vittorio was a wonderful and caring man and will be missed by many.
Anthony "Tut" DellaRocco
Anthony "Tut" DellaRocco, 80, a lifelong Hamden resident, passed away Dec. 29, 2007. Mr. DellaRocco was born in New Haven on Nov. 19, 1927, to the late Salvatore and Lucy DellaRocco. Mr. DellaRocco is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn; two sons, Anthony and wife, Bonnie DellaRocco, and Alan DellaRocco; daughter, Lynn DellaRocco, and husband, Bud Rudnick; brother, Raymond and wife, Linda DellaRocco; sister, Sally Farren; and two grandchildren, Michael Iovene and Alexa DellaRocco.
Charles Edward Wade
Charles Edward Wade, 81, passed away Dec. 29, 2007, at the Florida Hospital at Zephyr Hills. Born in New Haven, he lived in Hamden for 70 years before moving to Florida 10 years ago.
Mr. Wade was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St. Rita's Church in Hamden. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Catherine Nolan Wade; a son Edward Wade, a son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Katie Wade, a son Charles Wade, a daughter Kathleen Wade, a son Douglas Wade; a brother, Robert Wade; and three grandchildren, Katlyn, Jennifer and Bryan Wade.
