Paul Pearson
Paul Pearson, 46, of Norwalk, the husband of Alicia Theophilos Pearson, died Saturday.
He was born in San Francisco on Oct. 29, 1954, the son of Ruth Miller Pearson of Norwalk and the late John R. Pearson. He grew up in Pleasantville, N.Y., and was a graduate of Pleasantville High School. He was a video producer for Gen Re in Stamford.
In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by four brothers, Robert Pearson of New Milford, David Pearson of Peck Lake, N.Y., John Mark Pearson of Westport and Richard Pearson of New Fairfield; two nieces; a grandniece; and a grandnephew.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church on the Green.

Patsy R. Reda
Patsy R. Reda, 75, of Norwalk, the husband of Alice Meade Reda, died April 13 at Norwalk Hospital.
He was born in Norwalk on Jan. 27, 1926, the son of Louis and Marie Porco Reda. He was a lifelong city resident. Until his retirement, he was a foreman with the Yankee Metal Co. in Norwalk. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lou B. Reda of Newtown and Patrick R. Reda of Bridgeport; a daughter, Holly Bartlett of Brookfield; two brothers, Ralph Reda of Cargo, Fla., and Louis Reda of Norwalk; three sisters. Theresa Bosnia and Mary Catugno, both of Norwalk, and Esther Fox of Dover Plains, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Alice McCryne Reda; three brothers, Anthony, Frank and David Reda; and three sisters, Rosie Shimko, Joan Reda and Jennie Visconti.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. Mary's Church. Interment followed in St. John Cemetery. The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., was in charge of the arrangements.
Katherine A. Sarosi
Katherine A. Sarosi, 70, of Norwalk died Monday at Stamford Hospital.
She was born in Norwalk on May 31, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Mary Britten Damato. She was a lifelong city resident.
She is survived by two sons, Shad Walker of Hartford and Carmine Sarosi of Norwalk; a daughter, Linda M. Sarosi of Stratford; a brother, John Damato of Florida; five sisters, Rosemary Engle, Margaret Anastasia, Anna Kish and Mamie Setti, all of Norwalk, and Theresa Pantaleone of Massachusetts; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Albert Sarosi III.
A memorial service was conducted Wednesday at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave. Interment was private.
Pauline Smith
Pauline Smith, 96, of Norwalk, the widow of Sydney Smith, died Saturday at the Honey Hill Care Center.
She was born in New York City on Sept. 19, 1904, the daughter of Gustave and Pauline Stultz Behning. She was a graduate of Evander Childs High School in Bronx, N.Y. After her marriage, she moved to Bronxville, N.Y., and then to Greenwich, where she lived for 14 years. She was a bookkeeper for Walker Laboratories, which became part of Richardson Vicks and then Procter & Gamble Co., in Mount Vernon, N.Y., for more than 20 years. She was the treasurer for the New Rochelle, N.Y., chapter of the Business and Professional Woman's Club. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan S. Willcox of Norwalk; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Behning.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Council of Honey Hill Care Center.
James M. Bowman
James M. Bowman, 87, of Ocala, Fla., formerly a longtime resident of Norwalk, died Nov. 10, 2009, in Ocala. Born in Stamford, the son of the late James Garfield and Leona Bonville Bowman, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served in Europe as a radio operator in the 328th Fighter Control Squadron.
Bowman had retired from the South Norwalk branch of the U.S. Postal Service, with more than 20 years of service. He then began a second career with the City of Norwalk Parking Authority. He was a 55-year member of the American Legion, past Master and 50-year member of the St. John Masonic Lodge #6, in Norwalk and a member of the Shrine Club in Ocala.
Predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Sarsen Bowman, and sister Mazie Haworth, he is survived by two loving daughters Linda Kardos and her husband Bill of Norwalk, and Judy Doubleday of Vernon Hills, Ill.; three grandchildren Bill Kardos Jr., and his wife Dawn of Naugatuck, Karleen Grimes and her husband Torrance of Wallingford, and Andrew James Doubleday of Vernon Hills, Ill.; two cherished great-grandchildren, Lillian Rene Kardos and Dante Grimes, as well as a niece Marge Mischak and her husband Bill of Virginia Beach, Va.; his current
wife, Sharon, and his beloved dog, Skippy.All funeral services will be held privately.
Helen S. Haybeck
Helen S. Haybeck, 90, of Norwalk, died Nov. 17, 2009, at the Norwalk Hospital. She was the wife of the late Bernard L. "Barney" Haybeck. She was born in Norwalk May 5, 1919, daughter of the late Stephen and Michalina Obuchowski Szerszen and has lived locally all of her life. She had worked as a seamstress for Amherst Knitware and several other local businesses. She loved travelling, photography and spending time with her family, and was a former member of the Girl Scouts of America. Haybeck is survived by her sister Evelyn of Norwalk and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister Laura.

Helen L. Dake Kongsted
Helen L. Dake Kongsted, 91, wife of the late Karl M. Kongsted of Norwalk, died Nov. 18, 2009, at Norwalk Hospital.
Born July 10, 1918, in Westport, she was the daughter of the late Franklyn and Alice Dake. She was a graduate of the Westport Public Schools, and held employment at various companies throughout her life, including Buehner & Warner and MBI. On Oct. 4, 1941, she married
her "honey, " and she took on her most important jobs of wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In her spare time, she had been a longtime member of the African Violet Society, and has given many hours to caring for friends and family, her pets, and many neighborhood animals.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynne Kruseski, of Norwalk, and Diane Adinolfi and her husband, Jack; five grandchildren, James Michael Walters and his wife Pilar, of Virginia Beach, Va.; Shari Walters and Lori Jo Walters, both of Florida; David Kruseski and his wife Mary, of Norwalk; and Tani Gonzalez and her husband, Ashley, of Norwalk, as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including her beloved Jeanne Ladd of Vermont.

Theresa J. Kron (Terry)
Theresa J. Kron (Terry) of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Potomac, Md. and Norwalk, died Nov.13, 2009. She was the loving wife of the late Morris Kron, loving mother of the late David J. Kron, daughter Florence (Roy), and son Marc (Marina). She is also survived by her grandchildren Michel and Michael Johnsen, and David and Brian Kron.
A memorial service will be held in Norwalk on Dec. 19.

Patricia K. Mayor
Patricia K. Mayor, 58, of Norwalk, died Nov. 18, 2009, at Wilton Meadows. She was the wife of the late Frank M. Mayor, Jr. She was born in Bridgeport on May 26, 1951, daughter of the late James and Virginia Reck Dunsmore and had lived in Norwalk for most of her life. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and has been a teacher's aide for many years at the Rowayton School; a position she found truly rewarding dealing with children. She loved her family and loved to travel and will be missed by all those she cared for.
Mayor is survived by her four children; Jeannette Marie Mayor of Norwalk, James Allan Keyser of Bridgeport, Michael Reid Mayor of Stratford and Jennifer Loren Keyser of Guilford; her twin sister Mary Lou Smith of S. Salem, N.Y., and her nephew Kevin Ireland Smith of Lake Placid, Fla.

Debra Holly McCrae-Staton
Debra Holly McCrae-Staton, born on May 14, 1955 in Norwalk, died Nov. 12, 2009, after a lengthy illness.
She was the daughter of Charlie and Thelma McCrae of Norwalk. She grew up in Norwalk where she attended the Norwalk Public Schools and worked as a Home Health Aide.
She was married
to Troy Staton of North Carolina.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her loving memories, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charlie McCrae, Norwalk; two daughters: Suzette McCrae, of Norwalk, and Latisha Staton of Bridgeport; six sisters: Dorothy Givens, Juanita Miller, Peggy McCrae, Juanita McCrae, and Dorothy McCrae, all of Norwalk, and Diane (Walter) Miller of Georgia; four brothers: Anthony McCrae, Melvin McCrae and Charles McCrae, all of Norwalk, and Ivory (Gloria) Boyd of South Carolina; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara McCrae & Suzette McCrae.
