BETHLEHEM - Mr. Lawrence F. Shea, 69, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 8, 2011.
Larry was born Aug. 25, 1941, in Dorchester, Mass., but grew up in Waterbury. He was the son of the late Francis (Bert) and Emileen (Doran) Shea of Waterbury. He was a graduate of Croft High School and served as a medic in the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He also owned Spudnuts. Larry was a well-known builder of all his adult life and owned LFS Construction.
In his free time, Larry was an avid skier, hiker and mountain biker. He also had a passion for traveling and working with the love of his life, Carol. Larry also loved watching the NY Giants.
He is survived by his loving partner, Carol Mulready of Bethlehem, and his daughters, Rebecca Shea of Bethlehem, and Lauren Shea Rohwer of Albuquerque, N.M. He also leaves behind his former wife, Marilynn Shea of Bethlehem; his godmother, Marguerite (Atkinson) Shea, wife of the late Dr. Lawrence J. Shea of Waterbury; Carol's children, Serena Lillie and her husband, Brendan, of Ashland, Mass., Britt Mulready and Keegan Mulready, both of Bethlehem; and many other wonderful relatives and friends.
Ms. Bettyann Zipke
Bristol Hospital employee
WOLCOTT - Bettyann (Kosswig) Zipke, a former Plymouth resident, widow of Robert W. Zipke, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Bristol Hospital.
Bettyann was born Dec. 24, 1942, in New Britain, daughter of the late Gustave and Flora (Anderson) Kosswig. She was employed at Bristol Hospital and was also the secretary of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Terryville for many years.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was very active in her church. Bettyann was a member and past president of the Plymouth Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, member and past president of the Women of the Moose in Bristol, and was a member of the Red Hat Society "Triple D's."
Bettyann is survived by her sons, David Zipke and his wife, Michele, of Bristol, and Wayne Zipke of Wolcott; her daughter, Linda Ciavarella and her husband, Michael, of Waterbury; her grandchildren, Courtney, Tiffany, Taylor, Robert, Marissa and Brianna; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Kosswig and Norman Kosswig, and her sister, Lorraine Christensen.
Mrs. Patricia A. Sirois
Worked as a nurses aide
WATERBURY - Patricia Ann Sirois, 62, of Meriden Road, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Village Green Nursing home of Waterbury after a brief illness.
Mrs. Sirois was born Feb. 28, 1949, the daughter of the late John and Frances (Boucher) Oddon. She attended Croft High School and was a certified nurses aide at Wolcott View Manor for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Sirois is survived by her former husband, Linwood Sirois Sr. of Waterbury, her two sons, Linwood Sirois Jr. of Waterbury, and Scott Sirois of Prospect, three grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sirois will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may visit at the Casey– O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St., Waterbury, on Monday evening, March 14, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mrs. Dorothy Langdeau
WOLCOTT - Dorothy Langdeau, 85, was a member of the St. Pius X Church Ladies Guild. She was predeceased by a grandson, Eric Langdeau. Mrs. Langdeau died March 7.
Timothy Beerbaum
Worked as a toolmaker
CHESHIRE - Timothy Beerbaum, 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his home with his devoted wife of 43 years, Johanne (Mischou) Beerbaum, at his side.
Born in Waterbury on Oct. 7, 1941, he was the son of the late William and Sylvia (Loucks) Beerbaum. He was an independent prototype toolmaker contracting with several industrial companies throughout his career. He enjoyed train collecting and was a member of the TCA. He composed piano and organ music and even held a concert on May 15, 2005, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Waterbury, where his music was performed by pianist Sheng-Yuan Kuan. He will also be remembered as a joker with a quirky sense of humor. He resided in Cheshire for the last 32 years.
Mr. Beerbaum is survived by his two sons, William "Bill" and his wife, Beth Beerbaum, Dion and his wife, Patricia Beerbaum, and six grandchildren, Angelica, Shallynn, Christine, Mischelle, Dion Jr. and Jessica Beerbaum, all of Southington.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be private.
Charles Pataky
Corrections officer
TORRINGTON - Charles "Chuck" Pataky, 34, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
A devoted husband and father, Chuck also committed himself to the community as a Warrior Football head coach and an assistant coach for Torrington Little League and PAL basketball. He attended Western Connecticut State University and the University of Connecticut, and worked as a corrections officer at Garner Correctional Institute in Newtown.
Chuck leaves behind his wife, Wendy; sons, Charlie and Tommy; his beloved grandmother, Vincenza Daily, and mother, Betty Palmiero, of Bridgeport; in-laws, Edward and Diane Pekrul of Torrington; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A brother to many, Chuck's family includes a multitude of friends whose continued support will forever be held in deepest regard.

Mrs. Dorothy Langdeau

WOLCOTT - Mrs. Dorothy (Albert) Langdeau, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2011, at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Romeo Langdeau.
Mrs. Langdeau, one of 14 children, was born March 12, 1925, in St. Agatha, Maine, daughter of the late Thomas and Edith Albert. She retired from Devon Precision after 23 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Langdeau was devoted to her faith and her family, especially caring her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and word search puzzles.
She leaves her children, Raymond Langdeau and his wife, Deborah, and Thomas Langdeau and his wife, Joan, all of Wolcott, William Langdeau and his wife, Michele, of Milldale, David Langdeau of Waterbury, and Jeannine Williams and her fiancé, Jim Cullen, of Wolcott; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her daughters-in-law, Sue Langdeau and Hollie Langdeau; and special friend, Terry Crocetto. She will be missed by her constant companion, Violet. Mrs. Langdeau was predeceased by her sons, John, James, Robert, Steven and Richard.
Frank Nemeth

BEACON FALLS - Frank Nemeth, 89, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Gall) Nemeth for 69 years.
Frank will be sadly missed by his family; son, Frank Nemeth, and daughters, Elaine Pronovost and Debbie Stoup. He also leaves behind beloved granddaughters, Dana D'Elia, Lana Myers, Noelle Pronovost and Bill Pronovost, and beloved great-granddaughters, Lauren, Ian, Izabella and Adison. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Cara Pronovost.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Friends may greet the family after the burial at the home of Dana and Peter D'Elia, 16 Brookside Drive, Monroe.

Ms. Ellie D'Elia

PROSPECT - Ellie D'Elia, 47, of Apple Hill Drive, was called home on March 6, 2011, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.
Ellie was born on June 22, 1963, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Vincent R. and Lucy (Longo) D'Elia. She had been employed by Park Manor and Crest Manor nursing centers in Waterbury.
Ellie is survived by her son, Jimmy- Lee D'Elia of Prospect; a brother, Vincent D'Elia and his wife, Assunta, of Prospect; three sisters, Susan Terni and her husband, Gary, Jeanne Castings and her husband, James, and Mary D'Elia, all of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews.
Ellie was caring and compassionate. She loved helping others that were less fortunate than her. She enjoyed jewelry making and the simple things in life. She was also studying to become a licensed funeral service provider.
Lawrence J. D'Angelo
Devoted to his family
CHESHIRE - Mr. Lawrence J. D'Angelo, 59, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2011. He was the loving husband of Margaret "Peggy" (Mallon) D'Angelo.
Mr. D'Angelo was born Nov. 5, 1951, in Waterbury, son of Lawrence D'Angelo and the late Mary (Ciullo) D'Angelo. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and Waterbury State Technical School, and earned a bachelor's degree at the University of New Haven. Larry worked for Schick Inc. for 25 years, most recently as a logistics specialist.
He was a funny family man who was completely devoted to his family. He was a Mr. Fix-it and enjoyed doing yard work. He also found great pleasure playing checkers online, watching wrestling on television and vacationing with his wife, especially cruises.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Peggy, and his father, Lawrence, Larry is survived by his son, David J. D'Angelo of Cheshire; his daughters, Karen A. D'Angelo and her husband, Jason Almeida, of Kensington, and Jill L. D'Angelo of Cheshire; his sister, Dr. Joanne D'Angelo and her husband, James Petrauskas, of Middlebury; his beloved dog, Cosmo; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
