Michael J. Mickey Albrizio, 50, of Broad Brook, formerly of Windsor, beloved husband of 20 years to Margaret Ryglisyn, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday (December 11, 2004). He was born in Worcester, MA, son of Francis J. and Constance (Magnan) Albrizio of Windsor, and had lived in Enfield, moving to Broad Brook 17 years ago. Mickey graduated from Enfield High School, received his Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from Tunxis Community College, and graduated first in his class from Porter & Chester Institute. He was employed at A.V. Associates in Storrs for 12 years, and had been a technical illustrator at N.I. Design in Farmington for the past five years. He was involved in, and wrote songs about, community environmental issues, was a member of People's Action for Clean Energy and Connecticut Opposed to Waste. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by three brothers, Francis A. Albrizio, Daniel Albrizio and Ronald Albrizio and his wife Kathy, all of Windsor; a sister, Eileen Albrizio and her husband Wayne Horgan of Newington; his mother-in-law, Rose Ryglisyn of New Britain; two sisters-in-law, Pamela Ryglisyn of Plainville, and Antoinette Ryglisyn and her partner Martin Hollander of Mountain View, CA; and two nephews, Daniel Albrizio and Jeremi Albrizio and his wife Stephanie; three nieces, Gina and her husband Rhett Sandoval, Janet Ryglisyn, and Jill and her husband David McKnight; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Stanley Ryglisyn; and his brother-in-law, Andrew Ryglisyn. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, December 16, 10 a.m., at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. PERRAULT, Helen Jean Helen Jean Perrault, 66, of Wilton, NH passed away peacefully Saturday, (December 18, 2004) at Rockville General Hospital. Born December 31, 1937 in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of Jean (Harding) Benner of Cudjoe Key, FL and the late Lester R. Benner. Helen was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She and her family lived in England, Germany and Thailand prior to moving to New Hampshire 36 years ago. Helen was a senior case manager for the Community Counsel of Nashua, NH and was devoted to the clients she served. She was an avid democrat and worked on many a campaign. She will be remembered most as a loving mother to her children and a loving Grammy to her grandchildren. She attended the Rockville United Methodist Church. Besides her mother, Helen is survived by her son, Michael J. Kopka of Hampton, NH; her daughter, Susan Lori Canavan of Cincinnati, OH; her brother, Ray Benner and his wife Betsy of Selinsgrove, PA; her sister, Janice Klingman and her husband George of Ellington; her grandchildren, David Scott Canavan Jr., Michael Thomas Canavan and Joseph Patrick Canavan, all of Cincinnati, OH, Angeline Marie Kopka, Darian Jean Kopka, and Michael John Kopka Jr., all of Auburn, ME; nieces and nephews, Karen Stearns, Amanda Nagy, Tracy Surette, Bonnie Schuck, Laurie Walborn and Todd Benner. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 20, at 12 Noon, at the Rockville United Methodist Church, 142 Grove St., Rockville. Born November 24, 1939 in Hartford, she lived in Mansfield before moving to South Windsor in 1988. Joan was survived by no family but leaves those that cared for her at Prime Care and Kimberly Hall. Robert A. LaBrecque, 69, beloved husband of Jean Morehead (Jones) LaBrecque of Bloomfield, died Saturday, (December 18, 2004) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on November 16, 1935, son of the late Armand C. and Germaine (Vachon) LaBrecque, he had lived in New Britain before moving to Bloomfield in 1981. He was employed by PMP Pump Company of Avon and prior to that was employed by Fafnir Bearing Company of Newington for 37 years. Mr. LaBrecque was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church, Hartford, where he had been a member of the choir. He played softball for many years in local leagues. Besides his wife, he leaves two brothers, Philip and his wife Rachel LaBrecque of East Hartford, Paul LaBrecque of Hartford; two sisters, Loretta and her husband John Lewis of Marlboro, and Madeline and her husband Roland LaGasse of South Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11 a.m., in St. Michael's Church, Clark St., Hartford, with burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. HARRIS, Lisa L. (Leonard) APRN Lisa L. (Leonard) Harris, APRN, 46, of Vernon, died peacefully in the presence of her family at Hartford Hospital on Sunday, (December 5, 2004) after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of William J. Harris for 23 years. She was born September 24, 1958 and raised in Kensington. Lisa was a 1976 graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, New Britain. She received her BA degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN and her Masters Degree in Nursing from UConn. She was employed at Hartford Hospital for 11 years where she cared for the seriously ill in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and served in the staff development department sharing her exceptional skills with the hospital's nursing staff. She received her APRN license in 1997 and was since employed by Prohealth Physicians as a nurse practitioner collaborating with Drs. John Price, Andrew Schachter, and Richard Truex. Lisa was a member of St. Matthew Church in Tolland where she taught CCD classes. Lisa's compassionate, generous, trusting, and loving personality was always exemplified in her contacts with others. She was a loving daughter, loyal wife, wonderful mother, trusting friend, and the consummate caregiver. She took great pleasure in nature's beauty whether it be a stroll on a beach or a ride on her father's boat along Long Island Sound. She enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean's waves while reading a popular novel. Lisa had an artistic talent reflected in the hundreds of crafts she made as gifts for her family, friends, and co-workers. One of her biggest pleasures was to host dinners with friends and family. She always went all out with the best of food and drink and thoroughly enjoyed the company she had. Lisa enjoyed using her photography skills to create lasting memories of the children's lives, family weddings, vacations, and get-togethers. As a nurse practitioner, Lisa developed a large patient following. Her genuine concern for people was reflected in the care she gave to each and every patient. She treated people from her heart and helped them both mentally and physically even while she was fighting for her own life. She was an inspiration to those who saw her battle breast cancer over the past 4 years. Besides her husband, Lisa is survived by her mother, Joanne Golemba of Tolland and her father, Thomas Leonard of Milford. She leaves two loving children, William Jr. and Kaitlyn of Vernon; two sisters, Linda Moore of Arden, NC and Leslie Leonard of Tolland; and her mother and father-in-law, Evelyn and John McDonnell of Tolland. She will be missed by many other family members, friends, and patients. The family would like to thank everyone for their support, love and prayers throughout the past year. A special thanks to all of Lisa's caregivers who gave her the very special care she always bestowed on her own patients; Dr. Pat Defusco and the staff of Connecticut Multispecialty Group, the Oncology and Palliative Care Units at Hartford Hospital, the nursing staff of Woodlake at Tolland, and the Yale Medical Group. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, with a mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland, directly at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Jeremiah Gene Fellows
FELLOWS, Jeremiah Gene Jeremiah Miah Gene Fellows, 18, of Ellington, died Wednesday, (December 15, 2004) in Wickenburg, AZ as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Rockville, on July 11, 1986. he was the son of Marilyn Kuca (Fellows) of Ellington, and Gene Fellows of Wickenburg, AZ. Besides his parents he is also survived by his sister Melissa Fellows, his maternal grandfather, William E. Kuca Sr. of Ellington; his paternal grandfather, Emery Fellows of Danville, VT; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeremiah was an incredible person. He touched so many throughout his life. He lived in a way that inspired others. He was never afraid to take chances and he never cared what anyone else thought of him. Jeremiah truly knew how to live. He had an enormous heart and an unforgettable determination toward so many things. When he believed in something he believed with all of his heart. Jeremiah brought an overwhelming amount of joy and happiness to others. He has left a lasting impression on so many hearts. He will forever be loved and he will never be forgotten. PECKHAM. John Ford Peckham, 86, husband of Eleanor Mary (Wolfenden) Peckham, died December 6, 2004 at Duncaster in Bloomfield. The son of the late Paul T. and Mary (Peddle) Peckham, he was born September 6, 1918, in New York City and spent his early years in Westfield, NJ before the family moved to Harwinton in 1929. He graduated from Torrington High School and Princeton University and worked for a year at the Princeton University Press before entering the employ of the Meriden Gravure Co., from which he retired as President. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Italy during WWII and at Forts Belvoir and Leonard Wood in 1951-52. In Meriden, he had been among other activities, President of the Bradley Home and Easter Seals of Central Connecticut and a board member of the Boys’ Club, Curtis Memorial Library, Meriden-Wallingford Hospital, Meriden Foundation and a Rotarian. He belonged to a number of organizations related to his career in printing, including the Grolier Club of New York and the Columbiad Club, and had been a Trustee of the Princeton University Press. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Ann P. Barrentine, and his grandchildren, Tyann and Max Barrentine, all of Bloomington, IN; his son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Nan P. Peckham of Windsor; his sister, Barbara P. Hayes of Greensboro, VT; a niece, Carlotta M. Hayes of Dorchester, MA; a niece and her husband, Ellen P. Hayes and Michael Gray of East Calais, VT. In accordance with Mr. Peckham’s wishes, the family will have a private memorial gathering. Contributions in his memory may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 1501 N.W. 9th/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1491, or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Anthony DiLeo, 35, better known as Tony to his family and friends, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 26, 2004 in North Hollywood, California. Tony was born October 20, 1969 in Basel, Switzerland and became a resident of South Windsor in 1977. He attended South Windsor Public School, graduating from South Windsor High School in 1988. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut in 1992. He also received a degree in Massage Therapy from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington, becoming a licensed and gifted massage therapist. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1994 to pursue a career in acting while practicing massage therapy. Tony was also very active in Martial Arts and a strong believer in holistic medicine. Tony is survived by his parents, Dr. Philip and Ruth (Vogelsanger) DiLeo of South Windsor; two sisters, Daniela Gore and her husband Brian of Tolland; Dr. Christine DiLeo of South Windsor; a brother, Jean-Philippe DiLeo, his girlfriend Jodie, and her daughter Gina of Vernon; a half-sister, Liesa Morabito and her family of Hollywood, Florida, and his very special nephews and niece/goddaughter, Austin, Michael and Emily, whom he held very close to his heart. He also leaves uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends in Switzerland and Connecticut. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2004, 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 239 Graham Road, South Windsor. Burial will be private at a later date.
