Lillian Gillotti, age 80, formerly of Danbury, died on September 9, 1999 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She retired to Lakeworth, Fla., and was recently sharing residence with her daughters Joan Wojciechowski of Newport, N.C. and Donna Jaquith of Alpharetta, Ga.
She is survived by her husband Nicholas; daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Wojciechowski and Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Jaquith; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa DeLuca and Mary Varsalla both of Danbury; three sisters-in-law, Rose Rosato and Alba Gillotti both of Danbury and Rose Del Monte of Bridgeport.

Harriette Bray Bodycoat True
Harriette Bray Bodycoat True, died May 2, 1999 in Sarasota, Fla. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church on the Green in Norwalk.
She was the daughter of Stephen R. and Winnifred (Smith) Bray, and was predeceased by husband George S. Bodycoat and daughter Jean Ann.
In addition to her present husband, Richard W. True of Wallingford, she leaves three children; Betsey Johnson, Murray Hill, N.J.; George S. Bodycoat Jr., Colebrook and Mary Cooper, North Stonington; two sisters, Parnel Bray and Joan I. Bray. Internment was earlier in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
Joseph Louis Cimino
Joseph Louis Cimino, 81, formerly of Danbury, died Tuesday, September 7, 1999 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Jason; grandson, Bradley Bowsky; also, a brother, Vincent and sister-in-law, Ann of Fla.; sister Rose Torcaso of Connecticut as well as nieces and nephews of Danbury and Florida.
Memorial Services will be held in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Elfriede M. (Fiebig) Prenzel
Elfriede M. (Fiebig) Prenzel of Hollandale Rd., Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on September 12, 1999 at the age of 74. She was the wife of Erwin Prenzel.
Born in Rudelstadt, Germany May 4, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Fiebig.
Mrs. Prenzel was educated in Germany. She was a Red Cross Nurse in Germany during World War II. Mrs. Prenzel was employed by Four Seasons Health Food Store as a sales person and retired in 1992 after 27 years of service. She became a United States Citizen in 1997.
Besides her husband of 47 years, survivors include a son; Robert E. Prenzel of Fredricksburg. Va., two daughters, Barbara Ann Motta and Margaret E. Trammel both of Danbury; two sisters, Marta Gunther and Dora Wolter both of Germany; two granddaughters, Lauren M. Motta and Nicole E. Motta as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Zelda K.Zeigler-Little
Zelda K. Zeigler-Little, age 87, formerly of Hamilton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 11, 1999, at Danbury Hospital.
The daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda Chapman, she was born December 29, 1911, in Hamilton, Indiana, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was united in marriage on April 10, 1930 to Warren L. Zeigler, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1970. She then married Glenn D. Little on May 3, 1975, who preceded her in death on September 11, 1996. She was Food Services Manager at Cameron Hospital in Angola, retiring in 1975 and was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Butler, Indiana.
She is survived by three sons; Bob Zeigler of Angola, Indiana, Gary Zeigler of Wayne, Pa., and Jim Zeigler of Sandy Hook, Conn.; and one stepdaughter, Sharon Surfus of Springfield, Ohio; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, Earnest Zeigler; and one stepson, Max Little; two sisters, Florence Brokaw and Isabelle Chapman; and two brothers Cordell Culbertson and Kenneth Chapman.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 1999, at The Oberlin and Ford Funeral Home, Hamilton Chapel, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton, Indiana, with Rev. Kathy Hostetler officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 1999, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. (Indiana Time) at the Oberlin and Ford Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
Antoinette D. Hasbany
Antoinette D. Hasbany, 73, formerly of Ridgefield, died September 2nd in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after a brief illness.
She was a retired Registered Nurse known to the communities of Redding, Ridgefield and Norwalk for her school and public health nursing services.
Antoinette is survived by a daughter, Gloria Lane of Fort Lauderdale; 2 brothers, Salvatore DeLuca of Ridgefield, Frederick DeLuca of Ames, Iowa; a sister, Elizabeth Licarie of Redding and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Final arrangements are yet to be determined.

Jose Braguez
Jose Braguez, 58, of Triangle Street, Danbury, died Thursday at Laurelwood Rehabilitation Center, Ridgefield.
Mr. Braguez was the husband of Barbara (Esposito) Braguez. He was born in Ferreiroz do Dao, Portugal, March 13, 1941, a son of the late Sabiano and Maria Nunes DaCosta Braguez.
Mr. Braguez attended schools in Portugal before moving to Danbury 43 years ago. He worked in the asphalt industry for 35 years.
He is survived by a son, Joseph Braguez of New Milford; a daughter, Lisa Braguez of Danbury; a brother, Joao Gomes of Portugal; a grandson, Michael Elam Jr. of Danbury; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime friend, Cindy Sousa.

Dr. Alphonse A. Lepis, M.D.
Dr. Alphonse A. Lepis, M.D., 93, of Brookfield, husband of Leitha Spurr Lepis, died Sept. 9, 1999, at his home.
Born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., he was a longtime resident of Jersey City and a longtime summer resident of West Point Island, Lavalette, N.J. Dr. Lepis moved to Brookfield in 1995.
He was a graduate of Fordham University in New York City, Class of 1928 and a graduate of Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa., Class of 1932.
Dr. Lepis practiced in Jersey City for 56 years. He was on the staff of Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital and Greenville Hospital, both in Jersey City. He had been chief of staff at St. Francis Hospital in Jersey City and was a lifetime member of the Hudson County, New Jersey and American Medical Associations.
Dr. Lepis was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater, and was released with the rank of Commander. He loved his family, his friends, his patients and his Italian heritage.
Besides his beloved wife of 62 years, he is survived by two sons, Dr. Carl R. Lepis, M.D., of Manasquan, N.J., and Robert Lepis of Union City, N.J.; a daughter, Linda Kurfehs, RN, of Brookfield; a brother, Joseph Lepis of Long Branch, N.J.; two sisters, Alphonsina Campana of Cookersville, Tenn., and Louise D'Agostino of Toms River, N.J.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, James, who died in 1977, and Louis, who died in 1987; a sister, Josephine, who died in 1992; and a granddaughter, Leitha Lynn Lepis, who died in 1986.

Dimitrios Biniaris
Dimitrios "Taki" Biniaris, 65, of 200 Westville Avenue Extension, Danbury, husband of Joanne (Christou) Biniaris, died on Thursday, September 9, 1999, at the Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Biniaris was born in Xironomi, Province of Thevon, Greece, September 21, 1933, a son of the late Spiros and Eleni (Kragatsoulis) Biniaris.
He attended schools in Greece.
A resident of the area since 1972 coming from Greece, he was a retired machine operator for the Union Camp Corporation of Newtown.
He also operated the former Athens Pizza Restaurant, Balmforth Avenue, Danbury.
Mr. Biniaris was a member of the Danbury Chapter No. 90, American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association and of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
In addition to his spouse of 36 years, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elena B. and Constantinos Koutoumba of Nicosia, Cypress, and Linda B. and Francis Scapeccia of Danbury; four grandchildren, Michael Koutoumba, Dimitrios Koutoumba, Ourania Koutoumba and John Dimitrios Scapeccia; a brother, Giannis Biniaris of Athens, Greece; two sisters, Katina Margellos of Bethel and Tasia Papazisi of Eretria, Greece; a sister-in-law, Maria Manolakes of Bethel; two brothers-in-law, Efstathios Christou of Greece and Sotrios Christou of Brookfield, as well as nieces and nephews.
The Rite of Burial will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, with the Rev. Peter Karloutsos officiating.
Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Trisagion prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Theresa M. (Giuliani) Peci
Theresa M. (Giuliani) Peci, 65, of 87-A Driftway Rd., Danbury died at her home on Wednesday. She was the wife of Vincent A. Peci.
Mrs. Peci was born in Bronx, N.Y. on July 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Luigi and Renata (Giuliani) Fasani.
She was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School, Bronx, N.Y.
Mrs. Peci has been a Danbury resident for the last 32 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Eileen Peci of Northglenn, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Thomas Hanna of Danbury; a brother, Joseph Fasani of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Elisa Schettino of Danbury and her grandchildren, Damian, Shawn, Nicole, Christie, Michael, Kayla and Marissa as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place at St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Emma L. Lumb
Emma L. Lumb, 96, of 172 Westville Ave., Extension, Danbury, wife of the late George H. Lumb, died at her home on Wednesday evening.
She was born in Danbury, January 23, 1903, daughter of the late John and Adelaide (Gregory) Aldreany. She had been a lifetime Danbury resident and had for many years owned and operated the former "LuEllan Togs" in Danbury, a children's clothing manufacturing company. She retired in 1970 and devoted much of her time to volunteer work for the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society and the St. Joseph Church Sewing Club. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Danbury.
Mrs. Lumb is survived by 3 nieces; Adelaide Finch and Nancy Montanari of Ridgefield and Jean Goulian of Arizona; a nephew, Francis DeFazio of Fairfield and several grand nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.

Keith J. McDonough, 44, of Norwalk, brother of Dennis P. McDonough, Esq., of Bethel, died Tuesday at home.

Esther H. Tawyer
Esther H. Tawyer, 92, of 33 Nancy Dr., Danbury, wife of the late George Tawyer, died at the Danbury Hospital on Thursday morning.
She was born in Bergamo, Italy, August 1, 1907, daughter of the late Joseph and Santina Cavagna. She came to the United States as a child and had been a Danbury resident most of her life. Mrs. Tawyer had been an employee of the Barden Corporation in Danbury for many years and retired in 1972.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Michael DeFazio of Danbury and a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Virginia Tawyer of East Hartford; a sister Inez Nazro of Danbury; 5 grandchildren and spouses; Michael D. and Donna DeFazio, Thomas Mark and Sandra DeFazio, Jeffrey and Kristine Tawyer, Noelle Tawyer and Janine Tawyer; 3 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Corey, and Matthew DeFazio and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury, on Saturday morning at 9:30. Entombment will take place at the mausoleum at St. Peter Cemetery.
