Christopher Gregory Thompson

Christopher Gregory Thompson Sr., 36, of Park Avenue, Danbury, died Wednesday at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Thompson was the husband of Melissa (Ridgeway) Thompson.

He was born in Danbury, March 1, 1963, a son of Charles Thompson Sr. and the late Grace (Davis) Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was a lifelong resident of Danbury. He was employed by Party Depot in Danbury.

Besides his wife Melissa, he is survived by his father Charles Sr. of Waterbury; two sons, Christopher Jr. and Darryl Ridgeway Thompson, both of Danbury; two daughters, Marissa Ridgeway Thompson and Ronette Charles, both of Danbury; a brother, Charles Thompson Jr. of Danbury; two sisters, Margot and Timiko Thompson, both of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Thompson Children's Education Fund, c/o Melissa Thompson, 79 Park Avenue, Apt. 207, Danbury, CT 06810.

Calling hours are on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tomlinson Homestead, 336 Main Street, Danbury.

Services are on Monday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Christian Tabernacle Church, 91 Elm Street, Danbury. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.

Margaret T. Lange

The death of Margaret T. Lange, 82, of Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield, occurred at the Harborside Glen Hill Healthcare Center Thursday. She was the wife of the late Harold G. Lange.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. April 18, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Lowdansky.

Mrs. Lange moved from New York to Brookfield in 1961.

Her later years were devoted to her home and family.

She was a member of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church and was an avid bowler at the former Bowlarama and the Holiday Bowling Center.

Surviving is her son, Richard H. Lange; his wife, Victoria; and a grandson, Richard K. Lange, all of Brookfield and two nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church Monday morning at 10:00.

Cremation will follow.

Friends may call at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Marie Neidel

Marie Viviani Neidel of Ridgefield, a New Jersey native who had lived here seven years, died Sunday, October 24 at Laurelwood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was 91 years old and the widow of Frank Neidel.

Mrs. Neidel was born in Elizabeth, N.J. on February 8, 1908. Later moved to Union, N.J. and then to Springfield, N.J. in 1957 where she worked in sales for 20 years at Saks Fifth Avenue in Short Hills, N.J. She have lived in Springfield for a total of 35 years before moving to Ridgefield in 1992.

In Springfield, she was a member of the senior citizens association.

Her survivors include a daughter, Lynne Goldstein; a son-in-law, Dr. Leonard Goldstein; and a granddaughter, Jaclyn Goldstein, all of Ridgefield.

Other survivors include a son, another daughter, 4 other grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, not of Ridgefield.

Services took place Wednesday at the Galante Funeral Home in Union, N.J. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N.J.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Fairfield County Chapter, 607 Main Street, Norwalk, CT 06851.

Margaret E. Goldenske

Margaret E. Goldenske, age 94, formerly of Prospect Place, New Milford, died on Thursday at New Milford Nursing Home. She was the widow of Harry Goldenske.

She was born in New York City on October 22, 1905, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Margaret Halsall Madden. As a young child, Mrs. Goldenske moved to Brookfield and attended schools there. She was a dietary aide at New Milford Hospital and retired at age 65. A long time resident of New Milford, she was a member of the Metichewan Grange and the First Congregational Church of New Milford.

Mrs. Goldenske is survived by a son, John H. Cash of Intercourse, Pa.; a daughter, Rose C. Spodnick of New Milford; a sister, Eleanor Barr of Danbury; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

At Mrs. Goldenske's request, there are no calling hours. The funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family. Colonial Funeral Home, 87 Park Lane Rd., New Milford is in charge of arrangements.

Louise "Billie" Urbanovsky

Louise "Billie" Urbanovsky, 90, of Milwaukie, Ore., died on Tuesday, October 26, 1999 at the Adventist Medical Center.

Born in New York, N.Y. on March 27, 1909, she was the wife of the late Stephen Urbanovsky.

Mrs. Urbanovsky lived in Connecticut from 1949 to 1972. After retiring as an Emergency Dispatcher for the Town of Newtown, she moved to Otis, Ore. where she lived until her husband's death in 1994. She then moved to Milwaukie, Ore. to be close to her daughter, Catherine L. Currie.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a granddaughter, Amy Dinkler-Waldon of Carver, Ore. and two grandsons, Matthew Lincoln and Stephen Lincoln, both of Tempe, Ariz.

Friends may call at the Wilhelm Funeral Home in Portland, Ore. on Thursday, October 28, 1999 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Ore. with Father Robert Hoggard officiating.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Research.

Victoria R. Conley

The death of Victoria R. (Gallo) Conley, 65, of 27 Victor St., Danbury, occurred at her home Tuesday evening. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Conley.

Born in Danbury April 24, 1934, daughter of the late Pasquale and Karngle M. Gillotte Gallo Sr., she was a lifelong Danbury resident, attended Danbury schools and was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1953.

Mrs. Conley had been employed as a Secretary for the Bartlett Tree Company for 18 years, retiring 2 years ago.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a Eucharistic Minister, also a former member of its Ladies Guild.

Surviving are 3 brothers, Roser J. Gallo of Palatka, Fla., Sam J. Gallo and Pasquale J. Gallo Jr., both of Danbury; 6 sisters, Katherine F. Gallo, Concetta G. Chudy, Mary L. Figueiredo and Frances E. Lee, all of Danbury, Rose E. Darling of Jacksonville, Fla. and Christine C. Stewart of Valdosta, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.

The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.

Wilfred R. Begnoche

Wilfred R. Begnoche, age 80, of 34 Old State Road, New Milford, husband of Margaret Raino Begnoche, died on Tuesday at New Milford Hospital.

Mr. Begnoche was born in Swanton, Vt. Oct. 26, 1919, a son of the late Joseph and Azelia Gregoire Begnoche.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in to US Army in the Pacific theatre. He had worked for Sega Sand and Gravel in New Milford for 44 years.

He had lived in New Milford for the past 60 years. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church and was a member of Andrew B. Mygatt Post 1672 VFW of New Milford.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Richard M. Begnoche of New Milford; a daughter, Sharon A. Ross of Mission Viejo, Calif.; two sisters, Flora Duval of Crown Point, N.Y. and Anita Moneghan of New Holland, Pa.; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral on Monday in St. Francis Xavier Church at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford.

Friends may call on Monday after 9:30 a.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford.

William Jordan

William Peter Jordan, infant son of Watson and Meghan Kirk Jordan, died Tuesday, October 26, 1999 in Charleston, S.C. He was born on September 16, 1999 in Asheville, N.C.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Paul Jordan and a sister, Caroline Jordan, both of Asheville, N.C.; grandparents, Henry and Dyeann Jordan of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and his grandmother, Eleanor Kirk of Bethel, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Funeral will take place on Friday, October 29, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eugene's Catholic Church in Asheville, N.C. with the Rev. Francis Cancro officiating.

Contributions in William's memory may be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Memorial Mission Hospital, 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801.

The Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro, N.C. is in charge of arrangements.

George C. Mages

George C. Mages, 74, a resident of Groton for many years and formerly of Norwalk, died on Saturday, October 23, 1999.

Mr. Mages was born in Norwalk on August 20, 1925, a son of Gabriel Mages of St. Cloud, Fla. and the late Elizabeth Green Mages. He was raised in Norwalk and was a graduate of Norwalk High School.

He attended New London Business College and in 1989 he retired from General Dynamics where he had been employed for over twenty years. Previously, he had worked at the US Submarine Base in Groton. He was also a veteran of World War II, having served in the 79th Division with the US Army during the European Campaign. He was awarded the Bronze Star.

Mr. Mages is survived by a brother, Louis Mages of Florida; three sisters, Shirley Muro of Norwalk, Doris O'Connell of Okeechobee, Fla., formerly of Wilton and Jane Doulens of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 1999 at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 83 Main Street, Brewster, New York. The Rev. Kenneth E. White, Pastor, will officiate. The interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Wilton.

There are no calling hours.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Mages may be made to the Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, Inc., 30 West Street, Danbury, CT 06810.

Arrangements are by the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown.

Victoria A. Muhlfeld

Victoria A. Muhlfeld, 53, of Waterbury, died Monday, October 25, 1999 in New Haven. She was the wife of Eugene Muhlfeld.

Born in Mahopac, N.Y. September 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Helen (Dingee) Parks.

Mrs. Muhlfeld was a graduate of Brewster High School. She was employed as a Bus Driver with Laidlaw of Woodbury for 2 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark Vittorini of Southbury; a daughter, Christine Vittorini of Southbury; two stepchildren, William Muhlfeld of Florida and Joseph Muhlfeld of Missouri; a brother, Elmer Sears of Carmel, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Bush of Southbury and Jake Vittorini of Woodbury; and two step grandchildren, Cody Muhlfeld of Florida and Joel Muhlfeld of Missouri.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 28, 1999 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Terrace, Brewster, N.Y.

A Memorial Service will take place Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth White officiating.

Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
