Anne A. Natale
Anne A. Natale, 58, of Danbury, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at her home at 8D Crows Nest Lane. She was the wife of Nicholas G. Natale.
Mrs. Natale was born in Danbury on Sept. 27, 1941, a daughter of Rose Valluzzo Peck and the late Edward Peck.
She was a graduate of Danbury High School and had worked for 15 years as an administrative assistant at Boehringer-Ingelheim in Ridgefield before her retirement in 1998.
Mrs. Natale was a member of St. Mary Church in Bethel.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John L. III and Jane Danise of Newtown; a daughter and son-in-law, Jonna and Rick Solimine of Danbury; two grandsons, Robert Danise and Ryan Solimine; five stepchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and a nephew, Jonathan Bonina. She was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Bonina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Bethel. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

Jean J. Elkins
Jean J. Elkins, age 73, of Newtown, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at Danbury Hospital.
She was born in Stratford and had been a longtime Newtown resident. She had worked as a manager/cook for the Newtown school system and was known as "Gramma Jean" by schoolchildren from pre-school through high school.
Survivors include her beloved husband, James Elkins Jr.; three sons, Arlton Monsanto of Newtown, Harold Monsanto of Belleville, KS, and James Elkins III of Marion, NC; a daughter, Valerie Taft of Enfield; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Monday at 7 p.m. at the Lesko-Miner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., (Rt. 25), Monroe. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Arthur R. Reeve, Jr.
Arthur R. Reeve, Junior, 50, a resident of Southbury for the past three years, died Saturday, Oct. 2 at Danbury Hospital after an extended illness. A former resident of Newtown for 10 years, he was the husband of Jennie Barnes Reeve.
Mr. Reeve was born in Danbury on June 20, 1949, a son of the late Arthur R. Reeve, Sr. and Edith Spaulden Reeve. He was raised in Danbury and had been a driver with the Sweetheart Bus Company. He was a former member of the Moose Club in Danbury.
In addition to his wife of 11 years, Mr. Reeve is survived by two sons; Peter Barnes of Southbury and Douglas Barnes of Waterbury; one step daughter, Heidi Rivera of Southbury; five grandchildren; and several cousins.
The time and place of funeral services will be announced.

Edward J. McGrath
Edward J. McGrath, age 70, of Ansonia and formerly of Newtown, died Friday, October 1, 1999, in Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT.
Mr. McGrath was born in Bridgeport, March 28, 1929, a son of the late John and Alice (Conklin) McGrath. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. A resident of Ansonia the past 15 years, he was last employed as a Security Supervisor at Wesley Heights Methodist Home in Shelton.
Mr. McGrath was a member of the Carpenters Union No. 210 and a charter member of the Turkey Roost Rod & Gun Club of Monroe and the Newtown Fish and Game Club. He was a National Rifle Association safety instructor.
Mr. McGrath is survived by his beloved companion, Joyce Blewett of Ansonia, 3 sons, Edward P. McGrath, John A. McGrath and Francis C. McGrath, all of Newtown; 3 daughters, Christine M. Healy of Guilford, CT, Cathy A. Whitehead of Beverly Hills, CA, and Charlene G. Sullivan of Bridgewater, CT; 2 sisters, Elsie Keers of Watertown, CT, and Dr. Joan Gallagher of Southbury; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4, 1999, at 10;00 a.m. from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery. Ann B. Huott
The death of Ann B. Huott, 93, of Silvermine Road, Brookfield, occurred at the Bethel Health Care Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Edmund J. Huott Sr.
Born in Glastonbury, CT, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Bankowitz, she spent her early years in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. She attended Blessed Sacrament Academy in Yonkers, N.Y., and was a business school graduate. She lived for many years in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
Mrs. Huott had been employed as a Clerk for the New York Central Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1975 and moving to Brookfield.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield, and formerly of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry and the Brookfield Senior Center, She was a volunteer for R.S.V.P., the Brookfield Seniors Bazaar and St. Joseph's Church Bazaar.
Surviving are a son, Edmund J. Huott Jr. of Silver Bay, N.Y.; 4 grandsons, Edmund J. Huott 3rd of Latham, N.Y., William V. Huott of Holmes, N.Y., Robert A. Huott of Silver Bay, N.Y., and Thomas L. Huott of Carmel, N.Y., and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield, Monday morning at 11:00. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.

Arthur J. Pretty
Arthur J. Pretty, 78, husband of the late Evelyn (Greene) Pretty of Pond Brook Road, Newtown, died Thursday, September 30, 1999, in the Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Pretty was born in Woodstock, VT, August 2, 1921, a son of the late Edgar and Sylvia (Buck) Pretty. A resident of Newtown since 1963, he was employed as a Stone Mason at Fairfield Hills Hospital for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Company.
Mr. Pretty is survived by a son, James A. Pretty of Maiden, North Carolina; 2 daughters, Carol Kent and Lorraine Wedge, both of New Milford; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 4, 1999, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Ridgefield, 103 Main St., Ridgefield. Burial will be in Mapleshade Cemetery, Ridgefield, at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown.
Robert J.DuTremble
Robert J. DuTremble, age 59, of 40 Liberty St., Danbury, died Thursday, September 30, 1999, at his residence. He was the husband of Lorraine (Williams) DuTremble.
Born in Putnam, Conn., Feb. 27, 1940, he was a son of Yvonne (Landry) DuTremble of Putnam and the late Alfred DuTremble.
Mr. DuTremble had been employed by Elefant Bakery, retiring after many years of service.
Mr. and Mrs. DuTremble celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary last December.
He was a member of the Concordia Society and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, U.S. Marine Corps staff sergeant Robert J. DuTremble II, of Paris Island, S.C., and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, Main Street, Danbury. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, New Milford.
Friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

Henry K. Ruppell
Henry Kenneth Ruppell died Oct. 1, 1999, at the Yale New Haven Hospital at the age of 80. He was the husband of Frances Jazinski Ruppell and lived at 27 Ledgemere Drive in Danbury.
Mr. Ruppell was born in Danbury, March 21, 1919, son of the late William George and Eunice Williams Ruppell. He graduated from Danbury High School, Class of 1937.
He was a supervisor and foreman at the Eaton Co. in Bethel and retired in 1984 after 29 years of service.
Mr. Ruppell was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the 28th Infantry Regiment and was one of its survivors after the Battle of the Bulge. He then served in the 693 Field Artillery Bn. from July 1944 to May 1945. He participated in the Landing at Omaha Beach and served in the Normandy, Rhineland, Central Europe and Northern France Campaigns. He received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, The Disabled American Veterans, Lee Hartell Chapter, and Richter Golf Club in Danbury. He was an accomplished portrait artist.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda M. and James J. O'Shea of Winnetka, Calif.; his brother, William Ruppell Jr. of New Fairfield; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Henry Bessel Sr. of Danbury; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth Albert Ruppell, and his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Anthony Clark.

Gaston G. Beliveau
Gaston G. Beliveau, 53, husband of Louise (Sirois) Beliveau of 1 Purcell Drive, Danbury, died at the Danbury Hospital on Thursday morning.
He was born in Canada, Sept. 25, 1946, son of Therese D'Hostie Beliveau of Canada and the late Antonio Beliveau.
Mr. Beliveau came to the Danbury area in 1965 and had been a resident here since that time. He had worked as a self employed sheet rock installer.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Sonya Beliveau of Danbury; a son, Carl Beliveau of Boca Raton, FL; four sisters and eight brothers, who reside in Canada, Connecticut and Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, Stratford, Quebec, Canada.

Gerardo R. D'Amato
Gerardo R. D'Amato, 87, of Tally Ho Road, Ridgefield, died Friday at Danbury Hospital after being stricken ill at his home. He was the husband of the late Anna Bisignano D'Amato.
Mr. D'Amato was born October 9, 1911, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Ralph and Angelina D'Amato. He was a longtime employee of the Down State Medical Center in Brooklyn, retiring in 1983.
A Ridgefield resident for the past 17 years, Mr. D'Amato was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors include one son: Anthony Cafaro of Pottstown, PA. Three daughters: Elaine T. Flannery, Dolores DiBenedetto and Karen McDonald, all of Ridgefield. Two sisters: Josephine Ferraro of Bridgeport and Fannie Cappa of New York. 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hope Church, 240 Wolfpit Road, Wilton, CT. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield.
Friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kane Funeral Home, 41 Catoonah St., Ridgefield.
Patricia Crumblish
Patricia Crumblish, age 65, of Brewster, N.Y., widow of John Crumblish, died Thursday, September 30, 1999, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., after a long illness.
Mrs. Crumblish was born March 2, 1934, in Liverpool, England, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Jeffers McKinley. She attended schools in Liverpool and came to the United State in 1955 and lived in Yonkers, N.Y., before moving to Brewster in 1958.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Gryczewski of Virginia, Gail Crumblish of Brewster, N.Y., and Jennifer Beck of Purcelville, Va.; one brother, Philip McKinley, and two sisters, Betty Judge and Josie McKinley of England, and 5 grandchildren. Her husband died in 1975.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, N.Y. Interment in Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Ethel Mallory Wells
Ethel Mallory Wells, 96, of 359 Wellsville Ave., New Milford, wife of George E. Wells, died Friday at her home.
A lifelong resident of New Milford, she was born in Bridgewater, July 16, 1903, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Fanny Keeler Mallory. She was a graduate of New Milford High School.
Mrs. Wells was a member of the First Congregational Church of New Milford, of the Mission Circle of the church, and of Palm Rebekah Lodge No. 43 of New Milford.
She and her husband had celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in June.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, the Rev. J. Stuart Wells of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Richard A. Wells of New Milford; three daughters, Marie W. Vanachte of Brookfield, Nancy W. Ravenscroft of Kensington, Conn., and Jane W. Wiser of Middlebury, Conn.; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Center Cemetery, New Milford, with the Rev. Michael J. Moran officiating.
A memorial service will be conducted at a time to be announced.
