Elizabeth Stack
Elizabeth (Garvey) Stack, 69, of 13 Turtle Brook Trail, Monroe, CT, widow of George R. Stack, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport.
Mrs. Stack was born in New Milford, March 11, 1930, a daughter of the late Henry H. and Kathryn (Hyland) Garvey.
She was a graduate of New Milford High School, Class of 1947, and later attended Annhurst College in Woodstock, Conn. She lived in Danbury from 1954 to 1962, when she moved to Berivin, PA. She moved to Trumbull, CT in 1967, and later to Monroe.
She is survived by a son, Richard M. Stack and his wife Karen of Wayland, MA; one daughter, Susan E. Steel and her husband Gary Steel of Alpharetta, GA; and seven grandchildren, Ian M. Stack, Kathryn E. Stack, Caroline M. Stack, and Brenden R. Stack, Sean Steel, Sharon Steel and Suzanne Steel. She was predeceased by a brother Henry H. Garvey Jr.
Funeral services are on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa's Church, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment is in St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford.
Friends may call at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Gary Zenobia
Gary Zenobia, 45, husband of Lori (Markwardt) Zenobia, of Live Oak, Fla., formerly of Danbury, died at his residence in Florida on Friday, May 21, 1999, following a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Zenobia was born in Danbury on October 2, 1953, son of Mary (Trocola) Zenobia of Danbury and the late Stephen Zenobia. He moved to Florida about 15 years ago and had been employed as an operations manager for L.T.S. Inc. of Florida, a placement service. He had also worked as a landscaper and gardener.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Zenobia is survived by a daughter, Danielle Keller of Brookfield; two brothers and their wives, Stephen and Kathy Zenobia of Bethel and Gino and Jackie Zenobia of New Milford; a sister, Sue Borodenko of Danbury; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Friends may call on Tuesday after 6 p.m.

Dorothea F. Brunner
Dorothea F. Brunner, age 72, of Bethel, died on Wednesday at the Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of William F. Brunner.
Mrs. Brunner was born in New York, New York, April 9, 1927, a daughter of the late William T. and Dorothy (Murphy) O'Brien. She grew up in Yonkers, N.Y. and was a graduate of Mt. Saint Vincent College, Riverdale, New York, and Hunter College, where she received a Masters Degree in Education.
Mrs. Brunner was employed by the City of New York as a substitute teacher for 33 years, retiring in 1989. She had been a resident of Bethel since 1991, and was a parishioner of the Church of St. Mary, Bethel. In addition, Mrs. Brunner was a member of the Bethel Senior Center.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by a son: William F.X. Brunner, and a daughter: Joanne M. Hermes, both of Bethel, a sister: Joanne Coppinger, of Navota, CA, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 28th,. at 9:30 am from the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, to the Church of St. Mary, Bethel, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
Alfonso U. Vazquez
Alfonso U. Vazquez, 72, of 84 Tepi Drive, Southbury, husband of Maimo Angela Vazquez, died Tuesday, May 25 at Ashlar of Newtown. He moved to Southbury from Newtown in 1986.
Al was born in New York City on January 28, 1927, son of John and Manuela Vazquez, who taught him the importance of family. He continued their tradition of helping family members and friends by opening his home many times for those in time of transition.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind two daughters, Lee Fussell of Brookfield and Kim Connolly of Newtown, as well as three grandsons, Matthew Fussell, Sean Connolly and Trevor Connolly. He is also survived by a brother, Paul Vazquez of New York City and Pennsylvania.
Al was a kind and gentle man who loved sailing his boat on Long Island Sound and lively discussions with friends at cocktail hour. He was a voracious reader with a lifelong love of learning. He will always be remembered as an excellent dancer who loved old musicals and knew all the Broadway tunes.
Al's friends and family treasure the memory of the man with the big heart, the quick mind and the dancing feet.

Josephine Ann Beebe
Josephine Ann Beebe, 79, of 49 Stanton Avenue, Winsted, CT, died Tuesday, May 25, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, in Torrington, following a short illness. She was the wife of Richard Beebe. Born in Danbury, August 17, 1919, a daughter of the late John F. and Catherine Stenson Keane, she had lived in Winsted since 1956. Prior to her retirement in 1981, she had been the Secretary to the Director of Public Works, Town of Winchester. She was a graduate of St. Peter's School and Danbury High School, Class of 1938. She was Past President of the former Winsted Emblem Club and a present member of and Past President of the Danbury Emblem Club. A member of the State Association of CT Emblem Clubs. And Past President of the Past President's Social Club of CT Emblem Clubs. She was also a member and Past President of Fr. Andrew Circle, Daughters of Isabella.
She was a member of the Blanche McCarthy Winsted Senior Center, the National AARP, St. Agnes Guild, West Hartford and St. Joseph Church of Winstead.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters-in-law, Edna Beebe and Leona Beebe and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by a brother, John F. Keane and a sister, Mary Keane. Funeral services will be Friday, 8:30 AM from the Maloney Funeral Home, 55 Walnut Street, Winsted to St. Joseph Church for the funeral liturgy at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in East Canaan. Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony School, P.O. LeRoy J. Malouff
LeRoy J. Malouff, 57, of Sun City, Hilton Head, SC, formerly of Danbury, died Monday, May 24th, at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, GA.
He graduated from the University of Colorado and retired from 34 years at Black and Decker where he was director of Engineering of the Houseware Department.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Ballard Perkins Malouff; a daughter Jennifer Lynn Miller of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; a son Christopher James Malouff of Denver, Colorado and 7 grandchildren, Nicholas, Rebecca,, Alexander and Elizabeth Miller, Rusty, Mathew, Kolyse Malouff; his mother Zelma Malouff of Phoenix, AZ; 2 sisters Lila Mae Bartlo of Trinidad, CO and Cheryl Vallejas of Tucson, AZ; his stepchildren Debra Elaine Kaharik, Capt. James Gary Perkins and Daniel Perkins and 3 step-grandchildren Edward Kaharik, Thomas and Matthew Perkins.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, May 26th at St. Andrews Church in Bluffton, SC.

Robert G. Sutter, Jr.
Robert G. Sutter, Jr., 41, of 12 Terrace Place, New Milford, formerly of Danbury, died at the Danbury Hospital on Wednesday morning following a brief illness.
He was born in Danbury, October 22, 1957, son of Robert G. & Lorraine (Gebert) Sutter, Sr., of Danbury. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, 1975, and had been a lifetime Danbury area resident. He had worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at various area nursing homes, prior to his illness.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Lena (Troccola) Gebert of Danbury; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn Ann & Wayne Carlson and Doreen & David Arconti of Danbury and several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Danbury on Saturday morning at 10:30. Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.

Maria P. Vidinha
Maria Pacheco Vidinha, 74, of 166 Old Brookfield Rd., Danbury, wife of the late Diniz Pacheco, died at her residence on Tuesday evening.
She was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, May 3, 1925, daughter of the late Manuel & Frances (deMedeiros) Pacheco. She came to Danbury from the Azores in 1966 and has been a resident here since that time. Mrs. Vidinha was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Danbury.
She is survived by 4 sons: John Vidinha of Hamden, Carlos Vidinha of Downey, CA, Joseph & Mario Vidinha, both of Danbury; 3 daughters: Maria Marks of Port Allegheny, PA, Marta Rainha and Ana Medeiros both of Danbury; two sisters, Inez Medeiros & Maria do Carmo Amaral, both of New Bedford, MA, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and several nieces & nephews.

Inger "Ginger" Colla
Inger "Ginger" Colla, 74, of Southington, CT, formerly of Danbury, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Louis Joseph Colla.
Born August 6, 1924 in Denmark daughter of the late Albert and Clara Damgaard. She was retired from Bard Parker and Heli-Coil of Danbury.
She is survived by a daughter Diana Kelsey and her husband Hiram of Southington, a granddaughter Andrea Kelsey, a brother, Jack Damgaard and his wife Eleanor of Bovina Center, N.Y. She was predeceased by 3 brothers. John, George and Eric and a sister Kay Czajka.
Her happy gentle nature, smiling face and caring ways will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The Funeral will be held Saturday 9 a.m. at the St. Peter's Church in Danbury. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Martha A. Bush
Martha A. Bush, 89, of Old Branchville Rd., Ridgefield, died Tuesday at Laurelwood in Ridgefield after a brief illness. She was the mother of Ridgefield resident Barbara E. Zalewski.
Mrs. Bush was born Aug. 9, 1909 in the Bronx, a daughter of the late Charles and Barbara Spielman Reinhart. A longtime Bronx resident, Mrs. Bush was an administrative assistant with A&P in New York City for over 25 years, retiring in 1974.
A Ridgefield resident for the past year, Mrs. Bush moved here from Bergenfield, New Jersey where she had resided for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Ridgefield and a former member of St. John's Church in Bergenfield.
Besides her daughter, survivors include three grandchildren: Thomas F., Brian S. and Kristen E., all of Ridgefield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Ridgefield, with the Rev. Edward Small, Associate Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
