NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Stanley Victor Grygo Sr. of Norristown, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in his home. He was 79.
Mr. Grygo was born on Jan. 12, 1920, in Philadelphia, the son of the late Joseph Grygo and Stella Graverska Grygo.
He had served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
Mr. Grygo had worked as a welder with Heil Equipment Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by a son, Stanley V. Grygo Jr. of Graterford; three daughters, Carol Edinger of Glastonbury, Conn., Patricia Roach of Philadelphia and Joyce Hall of Dover, Del.; two sisters, Anna Gillin and Josephine Warhula; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown.
Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery.

William R. Rogers, 82
MAGNOLIA - William R. Rogers of Magnolia, died after a long illness Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in Magnolia. He was 82.
Mr. Rogers was born in Wales, Great Britain.
He worked for New Jersey Transit as a bus driver for over 35 years, and was vice president of the Transport Union.
Mr. Rogers was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program and was on the board of directors for the Modern Maturity Center while living in Dover.
He is survived by two sons, William R. Rogers Jr. of Woodbury, N.J., and Richard C. Rogers of Vincentown, N.J.; two daughters, Patricia L. Paladino of Magnolia, and Sandra L. Germano of Collingswood, N.J.; a brother, Joseph Rogers of Seaview, N.J.; a sister, Iris Dewey of Ocean City, Md.; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 700 White Horse Pike, Audubon, N.J., where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, N.J. 130, Cinnaminson, N.J.

Coleman Charles Webb Jr., 62
MILFORD - Coleman Charles Webb Jr. of Milford, died Sunday, Jan 17, 1999, in Bayhealth Medical Center/Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 62.
Mr. Webb and his wife of 14 years, Michelle Anne Webb, owned and operated C & M Cleaning Services in Milford for the past seven years. Previously he had worked for I.G. Burton Co. in Milford for 32 years in many capabilities.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Capt. Michael T. and Cindy Morrissey, serving with the U.S. Army stationed in Alexandria, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane L. and Clark Ney of Frederica and Lisa and Micheal Obermire of Felton; a brother, Ronald Webb of Montgomery, N.Y.; a uncle and aunt, Quinten and Bertha Webb of Milford; three grandchildren, Tommy and Matthew of Alexandria, and Trey of Felton; two nephews, David Walsh and Chris Webb; a niece, Rhonda Henry, as well as many close friends.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, U.S. 113, Milford.

Miram A. Hicks, 75
MILTON - Miram A. Hicks of Milton, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in Bayhealth Medical Center/Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Templeville, Md., the daughter of the late Henry and Nel Whaley Robinson.
She was a retired keyboard operator for the United Mine Workers, Welfare Retirement Fund.
Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker, enjoying crocheting, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Elmer Hicks; two sons, Robert Wayne Hicks, address unknown and Gary R. Hicks of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Melissa Ann Hicks of Bethesda, Md., Angela Michelle Hicks of Frederick, Md. and Scott Markle of North Carolina; two sisters, Evelyn Taylor of Templeville, and Catherine Hollenbeck of Argos Corner, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Short Funeral Home, Federal Street, Milton, where friends may call two hours prior.
Burial will be in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville.
Frank E. Cannon, 79
SEAFORD - Frank E. Cannon of Seaford, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in his home. He was 79.
Mr. Cannon was born on Jan. 22, 1919, near Bridgeville in Sussex County, the son of the late Brooks E. and Minnie Cannon.
He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army from February 1941 to January 1946 in an infantry unit in the South Pacific.
Mr. Cannon worked in Seaford for several years working as a custodian for the Seaford School District.
He attended Mount Hope Church at Finchville, became a member of Mount Calvary AME Church at Concord and was a member of Worldwide Church of God in Seaford. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Middleford near Seaford.
Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by a brother, Charles 'Ed' Cannon.
He is survived by his wife, Iola Magee Cannon; a stepson, Norman Cephas and his wife, Hattie Cephas of Federalsburg; two step-great-granddaughters, Shawn Dickerson of Jarrett, Va. and Shawneka Brown of Wilmington and two sisters-in-law, Edna Ford of Laurel and Sandra Cannon of Seaford.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Frampton-Hawkins Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Pastor Raymond Taylor will officiate.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from noon-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, near Reliance.
Robert T. Cassidy, 77
DOVER - Robert T. Cassidy of Dover, died after a lengthy illness Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in his home. He was 77.
Mr. Cassidy was born in Jersey City, N.J., the son of the late Peter J. and Catherine Ann Cahill Cassidy.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran who served in both World War II and Korea.
Mr. Cassidy lived in the Union City, N.J., area until 1964, at which time he was transferred to Dover by General Foods Corp., where he served as a mechanic until his retirement in 1980.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover, the BPO Elks Lodge 1903 of Dover and the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post.
He is survived by his wife, Frances G. Clark Cassidy of Dover; a son, John P. Cassidy of Gaithersburg, Md.; two daughters, Catherine A. Huffman of Dover and Carol F. Frantz of Milford and three grandchildren, Kate N. Huffman, Kelsey M. Huffman and Margaret G. Frantz.

Robert J. Neal, 25
CLAYTON - Robert J. Neal of Clayton, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, near Cheswold. He was 25.
Mr. Neal was born on Oct. 5, 1973, in Dover, the son of Robert W. and Sandra Burris Neal of Clayton.
He worked as a credit manager for Rent-A-Center in Dover for the last two years.
Mr. Neal was preceded in death by a son, John R. Neal.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Aurora Aragon Neal; two sons, Darrien Jay Neal and Brandon Anthony Neal, both at home; a daughter, Carien Darleen Neal at home; a brother, Greg Neal of Cheswold; and his paternal grandparents, Alan and Margie Neal of Clayton.
Service will be 1 p.m. today at Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Clara Cox, 94
DOVER - Clara Cox of Dover, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in Kent General Hospital. She was 94.
Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late Ella M. Porter and Elda G. Cox.
She was employed by Richards and Robbins for many years and later became Underwood, retiring in 1978 as a meat processor.
Mrs. Cox was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Smyrna, where she was a covenant member. She was also a past member of the Harrington Moose in Harrington and a D.A.R. member in Smyrna.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, A. Marie Williams in Dec. 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, Ruth E. Clampitt of Smyrna; a son-in-law, Gibert Clampitt of Smyrna; grandchildren, Connie and Wayne Stultz of Dover, Cherly and Ronald Depew of Seaford, Shiela Williams of Dover, Sue and Nelson Mesick of Smyrna, Linda Earls of Smyrna, and Gilbert B. and Traci Clampitt of Smyrna; 13 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Weslyn Church, Smyrna.

FRANKFORD - Minnie E. Mitchell of Frankford, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in her home. She was 96.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Millsboro, the daughter of the late John E. and Lucinda Reese Phillips.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband , Norman I. Mitchell in 1985; a son, Abby Mitchell in 1996, and a grandson, Harry Lee Jones Jr. in 1991.
She is survived by four sons, Granville Mitchell of Selbyville; Vinol Mitchell, with whom she lived; and Paul Mitchell and Vernon Mitchell, both of Frankford; four daughters, Irene West, Louise Hudson and Glenda Cline, all of Frankford and Betty Lou Parker of Millsboro; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

DAGSBORO - Hilda Marie 'Tootsie' Dorman of Piney Neck Road, Dagsboro, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 60.
Mrs. Dorman was born near Millsboro, the daughter of the late Paul A. Lynch and Beatrice Collins Lunch Campbell.
She was the president of the Dorman Equipment Service Inc. in Dagsboro.
Mrs. Dorman was a member of the Calvary Weslyn Church in Gumboro and the Blackwater Fellowship Church in Roxana.
She was preceded in death by by a son, Paul Wayne Dorman, and a brother, William 'Billy' Lynch.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert E. Dorman Sr. of Dagsboro; four sons, Robert L. Dorman Jr. of Gumboro, Dawn E. Dorman, Darrell D. Dorman and Charles G. Dorman all of Dagsboro; a daughter, Donna Marie Dorman Truitt of Millsboro; two brothers, Paul F. 'Pete' Lynch and Roland 'Roll' Lynch, both of Gumboro; two sisters, Priscilla 'Pat' Shockley and Louetta 'Lou' White, both of Pittsville, Md.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
