SEAFORD - Luella Hamilton of Seaford, died of liver failure Wednesday, April 15, 1998, in her home. She was 51.
Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doranna L. Hamilton, in 1995.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Richard C. Hamilton; one daughter, Kelly Gallagher of Seaford; four brothers, Joseph Little of Goshen, N.Y., Richard Featherman of Mooresville, N.C., James Featherman of Port Jervis, N.Y., and Brad Featherman of Sussex, N.J.; and two sisters, Betty Lou Scott of Hamburg, N.J., and Shirley Breckenridge of Mooresville; a granddaughter, Katelyn M. Hamilton, at home, whom she has raised.
Service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley Street, Seaford, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
Jane Lynn Pflumm, 41
SMYRNA - Jane Lynn Pflumm of Smyrna, died of cancer Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in BayHealth Medical Center-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 41.
Mrs. Pflumm was a licensed practical nurse and worked in the Milford Memorial Hospital operating room, and later with Ambulance 64, Smyrna. She was most recently an independent businesswoman.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth W. Zachary of Rehoboth Beach; two sons, Joseph M. Pflumm and Jayson Robert Pflumm of Smyrna; her mother, Virginia Kachnic of Indialantic, Fla.; her father, James W. Johnson of Maitland, Fla.; two brothers, Jerald W. Johnson of Dover and James H. Johnson of Indialantic; and a paternal grandmother, Amy J. Johnson of Maitland, Fla.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 North Church Street, Milford.
Burial will be at a later date in Florida.

Ellen Louise Pappas, 54
CAMDEN - Ellen Louise Pappas of Camden, died of cancer Wednesday, April 15, 1998, in BayHealth Medical Center-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 54.
Mrs. Pappas was born in 1943 in Dover, the daughter of the late Elsey Davis and William R. Collison.
She graduated from John Bassett Moore High School, Smyrna, class of 1961.
Mrs. Pappas worked part-time as a bookkeeper for Fifer Orchards, Wyoming.
She enjoyed life as a homemaker and enjoyed needlework and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 3 1/2 years, James T. Pappas; a son, James T. Pappas III of Dover; a daughter, Sharon Lynn Pappas of Wilmington; four brothers, William D. Collison of Smyrna, Robert A. Collison of Smyrna, Roy J. Collison of Marydel, and Gordon Collison of Woodside; and two sisters, Rose C. Burg of Virginia Beach, Va., and Nancy C. Harrison of Royal Oak, Md.
Service and burial will be private at the family's convenience.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Austin James Reynolds, infant
CLAYTON - Austin James Reynolds of Clayton, died Tuesday April 14, 1998, in the Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He was an infant.
Austin was born in Dover Oct. 20, 1997, the son of Dorothy L. 'Dee' Reynolds of Clayton and Cecil C. Moore of Townsend.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Douglas Moore of Sandusky, Ohio; a sister, Alexis Reynolds of Clayton; maternal grandfather, Charles Reynolds of New Castle; maternal step-grandparents, James and Judy Crowhorn of Clayton; paternal grandparents, Chris Moore of Townsend and Carol Miller of Cookeville, Tenn.; maternal great-grandmother, Carolyn Kershaw of New Castle; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce Street, Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Myrtle L. Fry, 81
MILFORD - Myrtle L. Fry of Milford, died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, April 15, 1998, in Courtland Manor, Dover. She was 81.
Mrs. Fry was born in 1916, the daughter of the late Charles and Rachel Holden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas R. Fry Sr., in 1991.
She is survived by one son, Dallas R. Fry Jr. of Odessa; one daughter, Mary F. Hicks of Laurel; one brother, Francis Holden of Culpeper, Va.; three sisters, Ruth H. Rogers of Milford and Grace Reis and Linda Henderson, both of Philadelphia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
The Rev. Randall Miller will officiate.
Joseph Reid O'Meara, 77
DOVER - Joseph Reid O'Meara of Dover, formerly of Clinton, Md., died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in the Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport, Md. He was 77.
Mr. O'Meara was born in 1921 in Baltimore, the son of the late E.M. Reid O'Meara and Margaret Barry O'Meara.
He was employed with Ben Dyer & Associates, retiring in 1985.
Mr. O'Meara was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Clinton, Md.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta L. O'Meara, in 1994.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia E. McGowan of Hagerstown, Md., and Rosemary T. Springer of Silver Spring, Md.; two sons, Michael D. O'Meara of Dover and Robert L. O'Meara of Gambrills, Md.; one sister, Margaret Mary O'Meara of Lewes; one brother, Francis V. O'Meara of Lewes; and 12 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 32 E. Potomac Street, Williamsport, Md., where the Rev. Alfred E. Smith will officiate.

Robert Simmons, 76
REHOBOTH BEACH - Robert Simmons of Rehoboth Beach, died at his residence Saturday, April 11, 1998. He was 76.
Mr. Simmons joined the 773rd Amphibious Tractor Battalion attached to the Army and served in the Pacific Theater of War in 1943.
He began his work at Electric Hose & Rubber Co. in Wilmington, as a lab technician. He was foreman and department manager in steel mandrel braiding, loom hose and finishing areas and plastics division, flexible mandrel, lead press division and other areas of the plant. In 1972, he became plant manager of the first satellite plant for Electric Hose in Alliance, Neb. In 1979, he was transferred as plant manager to Dover, N.J., for Dayco Corp., and in 1981, became assistant to the vice president of manufacturing at their plant in Ocala, Fla., retiring in 1983. After retiring to Rehoboth Beach, he took part-time jobs at Delmarva Power & Light, Millsboro, and McDonald's in Rehoboth Beach, and the Rehoboth Beach Post Office.
Mr. Simmons was a lifetime member and 32nd Degree Mason with St. John's Lodge 2, AF & AM, New Castle; a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7447, Rehoboth Beach; a member of the American Legion Post 5, Rehoboth Beach; a member of the Newark Anglers Association, Newark; a member of the Board of Directors of Alliance National Bank, Alliance, Neb., and a city councilman of Alliance from 1974-1978; also, he was included in the 1977 Bicentennial Edition of Who's Who in Nebraska.
Mr. Simmons received numerous awards as a fisherman and knew every lake, pond and spillway in Delaware. He and his wife were advisers to the Senior Methodist Youth Fellowship at Asbury Methodist Church, Wilmington Manor, for many years. He was a director and counselor for Junior Achievement of Delaware and was a counselor for De Molay of St. John's Lodge in New Castle.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Lord Simmons; one daughter, Betty J. Simmons of New Castle; two sisters, Frances Leonhardt of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Jean Gawinski of Wilmington; and one brother, George Simmons of Lyndhurst, Ohio.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bethel United Methodist Church, West 4th Street, Lewes, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Masonic service will be at 1:45 p.m.
Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear.

Patricia L. Rawding, 54
FELTON - Patricia L. Rawding of Felton, died of cancer Sunday, April 12, 1998, in her home. She was 54.
Mrs. Rawding was born in Dover, daughter of Musetta and Karl Hausler of Felton and the late Charles R. Cox.
She was employed as a town clerk for the town of Felton, with the William Moore Insurance Agency, Felton, and most recently as a desk clerk for Comfort Inn.
Mrs. Rawding was a member of the Felton High School Alumni.
She enjoyed playing cards, going camping and canoeing, crocheting and needlepoint, and was especially fond of working in her flower garden, tending to her yellow roses and lilacs.
She was preceded in death by a stepsister, Suzanne Kovatch.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, George Rawding Jr.; three daughters, Dianne M. Rager of Frederica, Annette L. Rose of Seaford and Roni L. Rawding of Earleville, Md.; a brother, Charles R. Cox of Milford; three sisters, Jan Mitchell of Milford, Shirley Brewington of Amarillo, Texas, and Barlynn Boone of Viola; a stepsister, Karlene Noble of Pensacola, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Tereasa, Eric, Keith and Josh.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Melvin Funeral Home, South DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. tonight. The Rev. Bruce Tribbitt of Manship Chapel will officiate.
Burial will be in the Barratt's Chapel Cemetery.

Doris Vivian Bemiller Talhelm, 77
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Doris Vivian Bemiller Talhelm of Greencastle, died of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Greencastle, Sunday, April 12, 1998. She was 77.
Mrs. Talhelm was born in 1921, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Oscar Roy and Edith Edna Atland Bemiller.
She attended the Hanover schools.
Mrs. Talhelm was employed as a nursing assistant at the South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain, from 1971-1983, retiring in 1983, with 12 years of service. Prior to that, she was a homemaker.
She attended the Salem Ridge Mennonite Church of Greencastle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Talhelm, in 1981; a daughter, Marian L. Talhelm, in 1990; and two sisters, Billie M. Knouse in 1989, and Mary Helen Gordon in 1997.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. (Mrs. Marvin R.) Harsh of Greencastle, and Jill S. (Mrs. Jerry L.) Noll of Columbia, S.C.; five sons, Harold E. Talhelm Jr. of Chambersburg, Gerald E. Talhelm of Greencastle, John R. Talhelm of Chambersburg, Franklin W. Talhelm of Mercersburg and Gregory M. Talhelm of Chambersburg; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-grandson; two sisters, Geraldine E. (Mrs. Robert) Flahart of Wilmington, Del., and Edith J. (Mrs. Clarence F.) Miller of Lancaster; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Ridge Mennonite Church, 441 Pensinger Road, Greencastle, with pastor G. Joseph Martin officiating.

Dorothy Mae Bordley, 82
PHILADELPHIA - Dorothy Mae Bordley of Philadelphia, died of natural causes Monday. April 13, 1998. She was 82.
Mrs. Bordley was born in 1916, in Marydel, Del., the daughter of the late William Norman and Harriet Roberts Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bordley; and by twin daughters, Doris Elizabeth Williamson and Dorothy Mae Bordley.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Natalie Murphy of Philadelphia; three sons, John Wilmer Bordley of Marydel, Paul Leon Bordley of Philadelphia and James Richard Bordley of Dover, Del.; three sisters, Marian Thelma Durant of Dover and Elizabeth Doris Gowens and Myra Barnita Williams, both of Philadelphia; one brother, Donald Lycurtis Williams; nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Julian Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 5306 Haverford Avenue, West Philadelphia, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
