DOVER - Frances Rebecca Fisher of Dover, formerly of Middletown died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Kent General Hospital. She was 87.
Miss Fisher was born on Feb. 7, 1911 in Dover, the daughter of the former Police Chief of Middletown, the late John Henry Fisher and Mahala Willey Fisher.
She had worked as a bookkeeper of Sheets Ford in Middletown.
Miss Fisher was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church, Middletown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie L. Fisher in 1917 and by a cousin Mary Jane Clark in 1997, whom she lived with for the past 20 years.
There are no survivors.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.

Phyllis Marie Vrudny, 80
DOVER - Phyllis Marie Vrudny of Fiddlers Green, Dover, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital. She was 80.
Mrs. Vrudny was born on July 24, 1918 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Hervey and Charlotte O'Neal.
She was a homemaker and lived in the Dover area for 26 years, moving here from Arnold, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Vrudny March 1998 and a granddaughter, Lori Lyn Vrudny Taylor .
She is survived by two sons, David Vrudny of New York, N.Y. and Joseph Vrudny of Dover; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Wallace of Dover; a sister, Myrtle Hunter of Spring Hill, Fla.; four grandchildren, Ty Vrudny of Eugene, Oregon, Kristine Wallace of Clayton, Kelley Wallace of Baltimore, Md., and Trey Wallace of Smyrna.
Service will be 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Torbert Funeral Home, 61 South Bradford St., Dover, where friends may call from 7-8:30 p.m..
Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Arnold, Pennsylvania.
Gail Holland, 36
DOVER - Gail Holland of Dover went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday January 10, 1999. She was 36.
Ms. Holland was born on Jan. 11, 1962 in Dover, the daughter of James and the late Elizabeth Holland.
She was a faithful member of the Capital Baptist Church for 24 years.
In addition to her father, she is survived by three brothers, John Rowley of Dover, Mark Rowley of Dacula, Ga., and Paul Rowley of Townsend; a sister, Sharon Schmittinger of Dover; three sisters-in-law, Lynn Rowley of Dover, Betty Rowley of Dacula and Linda Rowley of Townsend; a brother-in-law, Steve Schmittinger of Dover; a grandmother, Willy Holland of Crisfield, Md.; six nieces, Lisa Thomson, Deborah Edwards, Katelyn Rowley, Laura Rowley, Kimberly Zientarski and Jennifer Zientarski; four nephews, John, Joshua, Mark and Luke Rowley; three great nieces, Emily Edwards, Elizabeth Thomson and Rachel Thomson; two great nephews, Johnny and Jared Rowley; and all of her friends and the staff at Easter Seals.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Capital Baptist Church, Kesselring Avenue, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Eldon Fowler will officiate.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Myrtle M. Harper, 77
FRANKFORD - Myrtle M. Harper of Marcus Hook, Pa., formerly of Frankford, died of heart failure Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Beebe Medical Center. She was 77.
Ms. Harper was born in Frankford, the daughter of the late, John Harper and Ida Chamberlain.
She was a supervisor in a factory that produced products for household use, retiring in 1987 after 43 years of service.
She is survived by a nephew and two nieces.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Frankford, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Ruth Tull will officiate.
Burial will be in Old Blackwater Cemetery, near Frankford.
Bryan Watson Moore, 86
QUEENSTOWN, Md. - Bryan Watson Moore of Queenstown died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, In the Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Denton, Maryland. He was 86.
Mr. Moore was born on Oct. 31, 1912, near Centreville, the son of the late Robert A. and Mary French Moore.
He attended school at the Popular School in Starr, Md.
Mr. Moore began farming in the Ruthersburg area; later leaving farming and starting a 20 year career as a self-employed carpenter in Queenstown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Joseph Moore and a granddaughter, Denise Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Clara Bell Moore; four daughters, Ann Short of Centreville, Betty Callahan of Queenstown, Lynn Snyder of Stevensville, Md., and Terri Benny of Wye Mills, Md.; a son, Ronnie Moore of Wye Mills; two sisters, Isabelle McFarland of Centreville and Grace Chance of Seaford, Del.; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Centreville, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

MILTON - Mabel 'Teenie' Virginia Harmon of Milton died of heart failure Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 73.
Mrs. Harmon was born on July 4, 1925, in Millsboro, Delaware.
She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Alton Harmon of Milton; a son, Atlas Harmon Sr. of Buffalo, N.Y.; a daughter, Sandra M. Abernathy of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters, Dorthy Cannon of Millsboro and Frances Anderson of Wilmington; two aunts and three grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Youngs Funeral Home, 52 Union St., Milton, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Leonard Holland Sr., 64
CHESTERTOWN - Leonard Holland Sr. of Chestertown died of heart failure Friday, Jan. 8, 1999 in Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital, Chestertown. He was 64.
Mr Holland was born in Preston, Md., the youngest son of the late Ernest and Martha Haymon Holland.
He was educated in the Talbot County school system.
He served in the United States Army from 1956-1959.
Mr. Holland will be remembered for his culinary talents, and his love of people. He will be sadly missed by his beloved pet, Beano, and a multitude of friends.
He was a member of Liberty Lighthouse Church , Chestertown
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce of Chestertown; four daughters, Sonya Holland of Macon, Ga., Diana Robinson, Constance Brown and Linette Holland, all of Chestertown; two sons, Leonard Holland Jr. of Chestertown and Larry Holland of Easton; four brothers, Raymond Holland of Glen Arden, Md., Frederick Holland of Preston, Webster Holland of St. Michaels and Leland Holland of Glen Arden; a sister, Ophelia Pinkey of Easton; seven grandchildren, Summer Tillery, Reshawn Bennett, Shavaugbhon Speed, Kitray and Ebone' Jackson, Eugene Bethel III and Tre'Vion Perry; a grandson-in-law, Daron Tillery; four great-grandchildren; a goddaughter, Angela Jones of Chestertown and his best friend, Aldotha Jones of Washington Park.

Francis G. Short, 77
REHOBOTH BEACH - Francis G. Short of Camelot Trailer Park, Rehoboth Beach, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in his home. He was 77.
Mr. Short retired from Sears on 40th and Market streets, Wilmington, in the early 1970s, where he had been the plumbing and heating department manager. Prior to his employment Sears, he co-owned Diamond Plumbing Supply for 15 years.
He was a member of the Defiance Athletic Club, The American Legion Henlopen post #5, Rehoboth Beach, the B.B.O.E., lewes and St. Judes Catholic Church, Lewes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Opreska Short in 1973.
He is survived by a son, George F. Short of Hockessin; four daughters, Patricia Barbas of Newark, Marguerite Davis of Merrimack, N.H., Frances Flynn of Rehoboth Beach; a brother, James W. Short of Rehoboth Beach; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin

Sarah J. Kemp, 83
NEWARK - Sarah J. Kemp of Newark, formerly of Smyrna died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 83.
Mrs. Kemp was born in Dover, the daughter of the late William Nolan Jones and Blanche Lewis Jones.
She was a longtime employee of Beebe Medical Center, retiring in 1980. She was deicated to the care of the elderly.
Mrs. Kemp enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne K. McCoy of Bethany Beach, Elizabeth J. Scalera of Akron, Ohio and Carol K, Achilles of Westminster, Md.; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

John 'Johnny' Wesley Milbourne
SALISBURY, Md.- John 'Johnny' Wesley Milbourne of Salisbury died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, in the home of his nephew and niece, Bruce and Sara Dobbins.
Mr. Milbourne was born in Salisbury, Md., the son of the late George and Sally Milbourne.
He attended the public schools of Wicomico county, moving to the Newark, N.J. at an early age.
He retired after 40 years of employment at the English Town Raceway.
He joined the Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C. upon his return to Salisbury, Md., where he served as the Pastor's Aide Board and the Broadcast Committee.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lily Humphries and Sally Milbourne and five brothers, George, Harrison, Levin, Morris, and Theodore Milbourne.
He is survived by a daughter, Delores Milbourne of Dover; two sons; John Milbourne Jr. and David Milbourne of Philadelphia; a brother, Leroy Milbourne; two grandchildren and cousins, nieces and nephews.
