CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Kenneth Rudolph Johns of Cambridge died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, outdoors in Cambridge. He was 55.
Mr. Johns was born May 24, 1943, in Hurlock, the son of the late Freddy Adams and Pearl Ruby Johns.
He was educated in the Dorchester County public school in Hurlock.
Mr. Johns made many friends and was a very kindhearted person. He loved to share what he had. He loved singing and was with a group at one time. The musical group was a spiritual part of his living.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgeanna Earle Johns.
He is survived by a sister, Ruby Pearl Redd; two uncles, Dewitt Johns of Hurlock and Truckson Johns of Philadelphia; five aunts, Bernice Crawford and Mamie Stanley, both of Hurlock, Elnora Williams of Trappe, Janet Moore of Mechanicsville and Sadonia Adams of Baltimore; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hurlock United Methodist Church, Hurlock, where friends may call one and one-half hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, Hurlock.

Burton Joseph, 57
SEAFORD - Burton Joseph of Seaford died of cancer Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, in his home. He was 57.
Mr. Burton was born in Laurel, the son of the late Norman Burton Joseph and Blanche Catherine Whaley Joseph.
He worked for C.C. Oliphant & Sons Roofing, Laurel, as a sheet-metal worker for 23 years and, for the past five years, had been a shop foreman at R&S Fabrication, Seaford.
Mr. Burton attended the Atlanta Road Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Chesser Joseph; a daughter, Tanya J. Joseph, at home; two brothers, Ralph N. Joseph of Laurel and Roy T. Joseph of Seaford; and a sister, Kathleen M. Hearn of Laurel.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford, with the Rev. Samuel W. McGarvey officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.

Charles W. Reed, 67
MILFORD - Charles W. Reed of Milford died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, in Bayhealth/Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He was 67.
Mr. Reed was the son of the late James C. and Virginia Dickerson Reed.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn C. Reed; a daughter, Catherine Whitteker of Amma, W. Va.; a son, Patrick Alan Reed of Northridge, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Hughes and Ruth Marvel, both of Milton; a stepdaughter, Micky Hughes of Georgetown; a stepson, Kevin Christy of Douglasville, Ga.; and several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milford.

CLAYTON - L. Grant Schools of Clayton died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 29.
Mr. Schools was in his junior year at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston. He was a 1987 graduate of Smyrna High School.
He enjoyed golfing and computers.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Schools, in 1989; and a half-brother, John Schools, in 1992.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jane Still Ford and Joseph Ford of Clayton; his father, Bud Schools of Clayton; two brothers, Dean Schools of Kansas City, Mo., and Kent Schools of Clayton; a sister, Jan Schools of Clayton; a half-brother, Glenn Ford of Clayton; a half-sister, Vonnie Reynolds of Callao, Va.; his maternal grandparents, Buck and Katherine Still of Smyrna; and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today in Odd Fellows Cemetery, DuPont Highway, Smyrna.

Lillie B. Webb, 80
OCEAN VIEW - Lillie B. Webb of Ocean View died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, in her home. She was 80.
Mrs. Webb was born Jan. 26, 1908, in Roxana, the daughter of the late Aveington W. and Sarah Fenton Chandler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Webb, in 1987; and two sons, Ralph A. Webb in 1973 and Bobby R. Webb in 1982.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty Layfield of Dagsboro, Janet and Paul Marvel of Frankford and Sarah Lee and Howard Mitchell of Greenwood; a brother, Wilbert Chandler of Roxana; nine grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior to service. The Rev. James Langrall will officiate.
Burial will be in St. George's Cemetery, Clarksville.
Robert John Weishaupt, 56
RIDGELY, Md. - Robert John Weishaupt of Ridgely died of natural causes Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, in Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was 56.
Mr. Weishaupt was born April 7, 1942, in Baltimore, the son of Rose Cox Weishaupt of Centreville and the late Carl V. Weishaupt.
He was a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Army, and had been stationed at the White House, with a 'President's Eyes Only' security clearance, to work in the White House Communications Agency and at the LBJ Ranch, 1966-1968.
Mr. Weishaupt had attended the University of Maryland, College Park, prior to entering the Army, and following military service, attended the University of Houston, receiving a B.A. in English from the latter in 1972.
He had worked as a salesman.
Mr. Weishaupt was a devoted family man, was an avid stamp collector and a writer, and enjoyed reading.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janelle Weishaupt; two sons, Jason Weishaupt of Columbia and Adam Weishaupt of Ridgely; and two brothers, Walter Weishaupt of Florida and Carl V. Weishaupt of Centreville. He was expecting a grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely.
Eugene R. Baker Sr., 60
SARASOTA, Fla. - Eugene R. Baker Sr. of Sarasota, formerly of Dover, Del., died of cancer Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1998, in the home of his loving and devoted fiancee, Diann Fent. He was 60.
Mr. Baker was born May 9, 1938.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1956.
In 1957, Mr. Baker joined his father in the taxicab business, and later became part owner and vice president of Dover City Cab Inc., until he moved to Florida in 1978.
When his sons became of the age to participate in Cub Scouts, he formed Pack 103 in Dover, which met at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. He later worked with a Boy Scout troop. He took the Scouts on a 50-mile hike on the Appalachian Trail, and every weekend in January, he would take his troop camping so they could earn their Icicle Badge.
Mr. Baker's son Anthony was the youngest Eagle Scout in Delaware at that time. During that time, Mr. Baker received the Order of Merit badge. He was dedicated to, and very active in, the cause of scouting, and wanted to be a part of his sons' formative years.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Howard Seward, Oct. 20, 1998.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, George H. and Edith Baker of Hartly, Del.; his mother, Alma M. Baker of Dover; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Eugene R. Baker Jr. and Evelyn Baker of Palm Bay and Anthony D. and Elaine Baker of Harrisburg, Ore.; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Larry Jozwik of Robins, Ga.; a brother, George H. Baker Jr. of Angelsey, Wilmington, Del.; two sisters, Romayne B. Seward of Dover and Nancy B. Tieman of Chapeltown, Del.; seven grandchildren, Justin Jozwik, Aubrey Jozwik, Jennifer Baker, Steven Baker, Eugene R. Baker III, Jason Baker and Zachary Baker.
He will be greatly missed by his children and family.
Private service will be held by the family today at Brown's Funeral Home, Bradenton.

Earl Price Cronshaw, 85
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Earl Price Cronshaw of near Chestertown died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, in Corsica Hills Nursing Home, Centreville. He was 85.
Mr. Cronshaw was born July 19, 1913, near Barclay, the son of the late Edward S. and Katie Price Cronshaw.
He was a lifelong resident of Queen Anne's County. He grew up and worked on the family farm until age 23, when he was married to the former Dorothy Mae Everett of Sudlersville July 20, 1936. They moved to near Sudlersville, where he was a self-employed dairy and grain farmer until 1959. Later that year, he moved to near Chestertown, and was employed at Church Hill Lumber Co. in Church Hill as a yard manager, retiring in 1979.
He enjoyed all outdoor sports and, in later years, took up bowling. He was also an avid gardener.
Mr. Cronshaw was a member of Calvary-Asbury Methodist Church, Sudlersville, and a former member of the Queen Anne's Farm Bureau and Easton Moose Lodge 1520.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward P. Cronshaw, George Henry Cronshaw, E. Price Cronshaw and Linwood S. Cronshaw; and a sister, Catherine Cosden.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a brother, Franklin 'Pete' Cronshaw of Chestertown.
Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home P.A., 370 W. Cypress Street, Millington, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville.

Marie S. Forman
DOVER - Marie S. Forman of Dover died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, in Kent General Hospital.
Ms. Forman was the daughter of the late Beaulah and Arthur Showell.
She attended school in Philadelphia and Cheyney State Teachers College.
Ms. Forman was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of Delta Sigma Theta Inc.
She was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society of the Delaware Conference, an active member of the Nancy C. Perry Missionary Society and the Unity Choir of Zion A.M.E. Church, Dover, until her illness prevented such activity.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Atwood J. Foreman, presiding elder of the Wilmington District of the A.M.E. Church, in 1992.
Services will be noon Saturday in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Queen and Fulton streets, Dover, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Marlene O. Fountain, 65
MILFORD - Marlene O. Fountain of Milford died of cancer Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, in Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 65.
Mrs. Fountain was born in Bridgeville May 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Carsene and Edith Palmer.
She was a high school graduate.
Mrs. Fountain had worked for the state of Delaware in a mail room for 35 years, and had been the manager for about 20.
She was a member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church, Bridgeville.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin P. Fountain; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry Palmer Sr. and Claudia Palmer of Coatesville, Pa.; three brothers, Vincent Carey of Texas, Carrol Palmer of Dover and Carsene Palmer of Baltimore; a sister, Juanita Palmer of Felton; a devoted niece, Stacey Slade of Salisbury, Md.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Service will be noon Monday at Mount Calvary U.M. Church, Bridgeville, with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating.
