NASHVILLE - David L. Wyatt of Nashville, formerly of Lewes, Del., died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, in Nashville, He was 50.
Mr. Wyatt served in the U.S. Navy, 1967-1971. He owned and operated a small restaurant and bar in Nashville.
He is survived by his mother, Lydia Waldo of Linthicum, Md.; two sons, Steven Wyatt of Virginia Beach, Va., and Brian Wyatt of Nashville; three daughters, Tricia, Sherry and Paula, all of Nashville; three brothers, Leroy Wyatt of Newark, Del., Kenneth Wyatt of Camden, Del., and Michael Wyatt of Georgetown, Del.; six half-brothers, Billy of Delmar, Del., and Preston, Barry Lee, Steve, Paul and John; two half-sisters, Mima Jean and Sandy; and six grandchildren.
Service was held in Nashville.
Burial was in Tennessee Veterans' Cemetery.

Thomas J. Asper, 72
LONG NECK - Thomas J. Asper of Long Neck, and formerly of York, Pa., died of cancer Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at Lewes Convalescent Center, Lewes. He was 72.
Mr. Asper was born in Altoona, Pa., the son of the late Raymond Asper and Lillian Sarver Asper.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Asper worked as a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad and, later, as a warehouseman for the Caterpillar Tractor Co. in York, retiring after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Mason-Dixon VFW Post 7234, Quillen's Point, Ocean View; United Auto Workers Local Union 786, York; Mount Zion Lutheran Church, York; and East Gate Presbyterian Church, Long Neck.
Mr. Asper enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley J. Asper; two sons, Harold and Kevin, both of York; three daughters, Kimberly Bowie of Enola, Pa., and Denise Collins and Pamela Hacker, both of York; a sister, Grace Smith of Stow, Ohio; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at East Gate Presbyterian Church, Long Neck Road, Long Neck, with the Rev. Craig Lins, pastor, officiating.

Norman Brittingham, 89
TOWNSEND - Norma Brittingham of Townsend, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 89.
Mr. Brittingham was a grain and dairy farmer for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, in 1990.
He is survived by a son, Stephen J. Brittingham of Townsend; two sisters, Dorothy Coverdale of Milford and Thelma Swiggett of Lewes; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
Joseph W. Haehnle, 83
REHOBOTH BEACH - Joseph W. Haehnle of Rehoboth Beach, and formerly of Philadelphia, died Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 83.
Mr. Haehnle was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He had been a truck driver with the Teamsters Union, Philadelphia, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Haehnle was a member of Concorcia Lodge , Jenkintown, Pa.; the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in New Albany, Pa.; and the American Legion post in Mildred, Pa.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Gosser of Philadelphia.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Oliver Haehnle; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Charles Rivel of Slidell, La.; two sister, Marion Seymour of Collingswood, N.J., and Esther Conner of Ocean City, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
Service and burial will be private.

William B. Hignutt, 78
GREENWOOD - William B. Hignutt of Greenwood, died of heart failure Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, in Seaford Retirement and Rehabilitation Center, Seaford. He was 78.
Mr. Hignutt was born Oct. 4, 1920, the son of the late Louis and Iva Hignutt. He was a lifelong resident of Greenwood.
He worked at the DuPont plant in Seaford as an electrician from 1940-1980. He later worked as a security guard for Confidential Services and Dover Downs and the Cannon clam-processing plant.
Mr. Hignutt loved bluegrass music and working word puzzles of all types.
He was a lifetime member of the Eastern Shore Bluegrass Association and of the American Rifle Association, and a former member of the Delaware State Police Auxiliary.
He is survived by two sisters, Katherine Hignutt of Greenwood and Beatice Sammons of Seaford; two half-sisters, Marie Dickerson of Greenwood and Dorothy Richter of Mount Pleasant Beach, Md.; four nephews; and two nieces.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Greenwood, where friends may call one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg, Md.
Clifford Roy Jacobs, 85
PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. - Clifford Roy Jacobs of Passaic County, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, in Lewes Convalescent Center, Lewes, Del. He was 85.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Alberta, Canada, the son of the late Sidney Frank Jacobs and Elnora Barrett Jacobs.
He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alberta.
Mr. Jacobs worked in the Yukon Territory, Canada, as an assayer, then for the Office of Canadian Government as a requisition agent for ordnance materials from the U.S., used in explosives, in World War II.
He came to the U.S. and became a naturalized U.S. citizen, then worked for the U.S. government at Aberdeen Proving Ground, near North East, Md. He received patents for designs for protective gas masks for infants and servicemen.
Mr. Jacobs later worked for American Cyanamid Co., Wayne, as a start-up engineer for new chemical plants. He then served as executive vice president of Kuehne Chemical Co., South Kearny, and was a consultant to them at the time of his death.
He was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Chlorine Institute.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Jacobs; a daughter, Dianna Jacobs Brotherton of Long Neck, Del.; and two grandsons, Barrett Alden Brotherton and Clifford Jacobs Brotherton, both of Long Neck.
Service and burial will be private.

FRANKFORD - Elizabeth A. Kisser of Frankford, died of heart failure Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, in Lewes Convalescent Center, Lewes. She was 89.
Mrs. Kisser was born Nov. 4, 1908, in Camden, N.J.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Kisser enjoyed crocheting and needlework.
She is survived by a son, John R. Kisser of Seattle; two daughters, Gloria E. Piachoski of Phildelphia and Elizabeth L. McGuire of Frankford; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, Wilmington.

Jean Small Millar
REHOBOTH BEACH - Jean Small Millar of Rehoboth Beach, and Vero Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, in her home.
Mrs. Millar grew up in Rehoboth Beach and was a graduate of Rehoboth High School. She lived in Brussels, Belgium, and Lancaster, England, for several years.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Millar was a member of the Episcopal Church and of the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. She was well-known for her baseball knowledge.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard L. Millar; a son, Leonard L. Millar Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Kyle Manning and Jennifer Millar, both of West Haven, Conn.; a brother, Frank Small of Lewes; two sisters, Frances Myers and Rebecca Lemaire, both of Rehoboth Beach; and a grandson and a granddaughter, Matthew Manning and Erin Manning, both of West Haven.
A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at All Saints' Episcopal Church, Rehoboth Beach. Another memorial service will be in Vero Beach at a time and place to be announced.

Walter Joseph Bradley, 68
DOVER - Walter Joseph Bradley of Dover, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in Kent General Bayhealth Center, Dover. He was 68.
Mr. Bradley was born May 23, 1930, in Cresson, Pa., the son of the late Wilfred J. Bradley and Alma Stevens.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and served in the Strategic Air Command in weaponry for 17 years at air bases in Texas; England; Lincoln, Neb.; Wichita, Kan.; and Canada.
Mr. Bradley came to Dover with his family in 1968.
He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He received many commendations, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
After his retirement from the Air Force, Mr. Bradley worked for Teal Construction for 10 years as a heavy-equipment operator.
Mr. Bradley was a member of the Walter L. Fox Post 2, American Legion, of Dover, where he served on their holding corporation, and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joan Callan Bradley of Dover; three sons, Kevin J. Bradley of Wilmington, Jon 'Tucker' Bradley of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Brian A. Bradley of Bear; two daughters, Debora A. Mohler of Midland, N.C., and Cynthia M. Spittler of Mentor, Ohio; a brother, Arthur Bradley of Citra, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Callan and Laverne Steffe, both of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; and over 100 nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Church, Dover.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover.

Dr. Walter 'Skip' Orr, 56
SMYRNA - Dr. Walter 'Skip' Orr of Smyrna, died Monday, Oct. 12, 1998. He was 56.
Dr. Orr received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Monmouth College, North Long Branch, N.J., and his doctorate from Temple University, Philadelphia.
He was a middle school teacher in Jackson Township, N.J., for 15 years; an assistant principal at Woodbridge High School, Bridgeville, for one year; and an educational associate for the Delaware Department of Education and its predecessor, the Delaware Department of Public Instruction, since 1982. He also worked on special projects for Research for Better Schools, Philadelphia.
In his spare time, Dr. Orr was a private pilot and enjoyed flying.
He was a member of the Delaware Association of School Administrators, Phi Delta Kappa, the Delaware Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Mooney Aircraft Pilots' Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann; a son, Erik, and a daughter, Kirsten, both of Austin, Texas; his mother and father, Alida and Ted Orr of Chester, N.J.; a sister, Arlene Orr Amery, of Chester; a brother, Ted, of Florida; and an uncle, Gordon Mundrane of South Carolina.
Service and burial will be in New Jersey.
