Telegraph operator William Wright has been transferred from Middletown to Laurel and will hereafter be on day duty. He is considered a very god telegrapher, and by prompt, efficient service is steadly climbing the ladder of success. In fact, his promotions since entering the railroad service but a few years ago have been remarkably rapid and very gratifying to his many friends, and only shows what a progressive and reliable young man can do when he sets out to accomplish a certain aim in life. We wish him the greatest success in the future.

Lions Birthday
Calendar to Benefit
New Medical Center
During the month of March the members of the Middletown Lions Club will be canvassing the M.O.T. area to sell Birthday Calendars. The cost of these calendars will be $3.00 and this will pay for listing the birthdays of all immediate family members plus the wedding anniversary.
As with all projects undertaken this one will be no execption because it will be for a designated cause. The members of the Lions Club have always been active in supporting the community needs. The feel there is no better reason at this time other than supporting the much needed medical facility proposed for the area. Therefore all profits derived from the sale of calendars will go directly to support this new medical center. Anyone not wanting a calendar but wanting to make a donation can do this at the time the Lions call on them. This will be the first project of any kind in the area to support this new facility. If for some reason you are not contacted and wish to get a calendar please call Chairman Willie Jones or any other Lion member.
