Darlene M. Roush of Newark passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at the Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences in Philadelphia. She was 50.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Evelyn Roush; a brother, Roger Roush; and a sister, Roberta Roush.
She is survived by a son, Lowell Salzman; a grandson, Cameren Salzman; her long time friend, Robert Cunane, with whom she resided; two sisters, Carol Sweeney of Newark and Virginia Jennings of Middletown; four brothers, Marvin Roush of Mountain City, Tenn., Jim Roush of Eastanollee, Ga., Rodney Roush of Creston, N.C., and Kenny Roush of Newark.
Services were held Oct. 24 at the Chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Evelyn Boyles Morgan
Evelyn Boyles Morgan of Cecilton, Md., died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in Broadmeadow Healthcare, Middletown. She was 91.
Mrs. Morgan was born on June 4, 1916, in Earleville, Md., daughter of the late William and Annie Taylor Boyles.
She was a lifetime resident of lower Cecil County, Md., and worked for Schmidt s Drug Store in Cecilton for 20 years. She later worked at Money s Restaurant.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Middletown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Morgan; a grandson, Clint Luther; a brother, William J. Boyles; and a sister, Alice Alfree.
She is survived by three children, Elizabeth K. Holmes and Alvin C. Morgan, both of Delaware City, and Patricia Luther of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Oct. 21 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
August John Gus Dahling
August John Dahling of Middletown died Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at his home. He was 41.
Mr. Dahling had worked as a driver for Schwerman Trucking Company of Baltimore, Md. He previously worked for Pioneer Concrete in Bear and Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Company in Willow Grove, Pa. Mr. Dahling moved from Southhampton, Pa. to Middletown in 1995. He had coached Little League and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Southhampton. He was a member of the Red Lion Evangelical Free Church in Bear.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dawn Kij Dahling; a son, August John Dahling, Jr., at home; a daughter, Mary Dahling, at home; his mother, Elizabeth Florence Sahling of Boothwyn, Pa.; four brothers, Edward, Jr. of Millersville, Pa., James of Boothwyn, Pa., Robert and Thomas, both of Ariz.; two sisters, Linda Thornten of Mobile, Ala. and Florence Dahling of Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Dahling; and a brother, William.
Services were held Oct. 20 at Red Lion Evangelical Free Church, Bear.
Interment was Oct. 22 at White March Memorial Park, Ambler, Pa.

Rose Dorak
Rose Dorak of Smyrna, formerly of Nanticoke, Pa., died Saturday, October 20, 2001 at Silver Lake Nursing Center in Dover. She was 86.
Mrs. Dorak had worked as a fabric presser for Sea Isle Manufacturing Company and Christie Fashions, both of Glen Lyon, Pa. She also worked for MacGregor Shirt Factory in Nanticoke.
She was a member of St. Joseph s Slovak Parish, Nanticoke and the parish s Christian Mother s group. In addition, she was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Nanticoke and was the former secretary of the Senior Citizen s Organization in Nanticoke.
Mrs. Dorak moved to Smyrna in 1992. She had attended the Modern Maturity Adult Daybreak Center in Dover.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Victor M. Dorak, in 1976.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicky A. Mayberrie of Smyrna; five grandchildren, Patty Mize of New Orleans, La., Donna Mayberrie of Smyrna, Nancy Mayberrie of Camden, Debbie Mayberrie of Smyrna and Jimmy Mayberrie of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a great-grandson.
Services were Oct. 24 at St. Polycarps Catholic Church, Smyrna.
Interment was in St. Josephs Cemetery, Nanticoke, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be sent to St. Polycarps Parish Building Fund, 135 Ransom Lane, Smyrna, DE 19977.

Jane I. Forwood
Jane I. Forwood of Newark died Monday, October 15, 2001 at the Christiana Hospital. She was 87.
Mrs. Forwood was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Forwood, in 1983; and a son, James L. Forwood, in 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy L. Lloyd (Marvin); a daughter-in-law, Carol Forwood of Bel Air, Md.; and six grandchildren, Scott K. Lloyd of Hartly, Teri J. Pruitt of Newark, Kimberly G. Say of Smyrna, Jeffrey L. Forwood of Wilmington, Jennifer Wheeler of Ocean City, Md. and Jacqueline Ryan of Towson, Md.; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Services were Oct. 19 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
Burial was in Old Drawyers Cemetery, Odessa.
The family suggests contributions to United Cerebral Palsy, 700 A River Road, Wilmington, DE 19809.
William Edward Holton
William Edward Holton of Bellmore, N. Y. died Friday, October 5, 2001. He was 92.
Born in Hauppauge, Ill., he lived in Bellmore most of his life. A veteran of World War II, William served in the Navy (Seabee s) in the Philippines 1941-1945. He owned Holton Motors on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore from 1954 until he retired in the late 1960s.
Mr. Holton s favorite hobbies were fishing and operating his 21-foot Cabin Cruiser Sparetime as that is when he had time to enjoy it.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma (Ritchie) Holton, in 1949; and his second wife of 42 years, Alice Holton, in 1991.
He is survived by a daughter, Joy Getty (Kenneth) of Middletown; three grandsons, Robert Holton (Camie) of Germany, Kenneth W. Holton and Edward P. Holton, both of Middletown; a granddaughter, Ellen Steward (David) of Crossroads, Pa.; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Evan Steward of Pa.; two great-granddaughters, Jenna Stewart of Pa. and Patricia Getty of Germany; and close friends Sam and Nellie Isman and family of Bellmore.
Services were held Oct. 8 at St. Barnabas RC Church and interment in Lake Ronkonkoma Cemetery, Lake Grove, N. Y.
In lieu of flowers, contribution in memory of William Holton can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, care of Ted Whitlock, 103 E. Park Place, Middletown, DE 19709.
Mildred E. Mannering
Mildred E. Mannering of Smyrna, formerly of Townsend, died Tuesday, October 16, 2001 in the Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 83.
Mrs. Mannering retired from the State of Delaware after 30 years with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton M. Mannering, Jr., in 1970; and a daughter, Lois A. Mannering, in 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, June M. Stover of Smyrna; a brother, Leon VanHorn of Townsend; three grandchildren, Gary L. Stover, Jr., Jeffery B. Stover and Lori Stover Rader; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jillian Stover.
Services were held Oct. 22 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
Burial was in Townsend Cemetery, Townsend.
The family suggests contributions in Mrs. Mannering s memory be sent to the Alzheimer s Association, Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
Mary Sawczuk
Mary Sawczuk of Bear died Tuesday, October 16, 2001. She was 81.
A lifelong resident of Wilmington and a homemaker, she was a member of St. Hedwig Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John J. Sawczuk, in 1992; and a brother, Stanley Jaros, in 2001.
She is survived by a son, John J. Sawczuk, Jr. of Bear; two daughters, Camilia Denny of Townsend and Mary Ann Sawczuk-Selhorst, with whom she lived; a brother, Joseph Jaros of Wilmington; a sister, Tessie Sawczuk of Elsmere; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 19 at St. Hedwig Church with burial in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Hedwig Church, Wilmington, DE 19805.

Kathleen Elizabeth Stewart
Kathleen Elizabeth Stewart of New Castle died Saturday, October 20, 2001 in the Christiana Hospital. She was 47.
Mrs. Stewart was a mother and homemaker. She was an active member of New Castle United Methodist Church and was an officer in the PTA of Colwyck Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Schriber.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Gary Stewart; six children, Stefanie E. Stewart of New Castle, Jessica L. and Bryan C. Stewart, both at home; Melissa A. Stewart of St. Georges and Samuel E. and Molly M. Stewart, both at home; her mother, Kathleen Schriber of Clayton; a brother, Rick Schriber of Clayton; and a sister, Susan Littman of Castle Rock, Conn.
Services were held Oct. 25 at New Castle United Methodist Church, New Castle.

Joseph B. Vadala
Joseph B. Vadala, formerly of Newport, died Thursday, November 18, 2001 at his daughter s home in Greenfield Township, Pa. He was 63.
Born in Carbondale, Pa., he lived in Newport for 13 years. He worked at Delmarva Power and Light Company before moving back to Pennsylvania. He was a skilled trade supervisor at General Dynamics Corp., Eynon, for many years.
Mr. Vadala was a member of the Pennsylvania 109th National Guard and Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Jermyn, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mary A. Cerminaro.
Mr. Vadala is survived by a son, Joseph M. Vadala; four daughters, Cabrina Molinaro, Lisa Nati, Gidget Iyoob and Anita Borshecki; seven grandchildren; a brother, Frank Vadala; six sisters, Frances Baffone, Dorothy Warren and Marie Wilson all of New Castle, Rosella C. Vadala, Kay Werwinski and Judith Muia; and nieces and nephews.

James Marion Neighbors
James Marion Neighbors, II, of Middletown, died Monday October 14, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital in Newark. He was 57.
Mr. Neighbors, the son of the late George Melvin and Evelyn Houghton Neighbors, was born and raised in Newark. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation for 33 years. Mr. Neighbors' interests included a love of classic cars, reading and his devoted Springer spaniel, Millie. His first loves, however, were his wife and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Stella Franklin Neighbors; two sons, James M. Neighbors, Jr. of Ephrata, Pa., and John M. Neighbors of Middletown; and a grandson, James Ryan Neighbors of Amherst, Va.
A graveside service was held at the Head of Christiana Cemetery in Newark on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Margaret M. Norvell Reese
Margaret M. Norvell Reese (Greene) Of Smyrna, and formerly of Wilmington, died peacefully in her sleep on October 16, 2002. She was 88.
She worked at Faulk Manor South in North Wilmington as a nurse's assistant. She was a member of the Lillian Smith Senior Center in Clayton and the Mamie Warren Senior Center in Kenton.
Mrs. Reese was predeceased by her first husband, Walter R. Norvell and her second husband, Thaddeus Reese. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Turner, four brothers and four sisters, John, George, Clint, William, Katherine, Emma, Alice and Jenny.
She is survived by daughters, Gladys Reese of New Castle, Thelma Edwards of Odessa, Mary Ryan of Smyrna; and sons, Clinty of New Castle, Charlie of Newark, Paul of Selbyville and Walter of Wilmington.
Also surviving her is a sister, Ester Huber of Wilmington; 27 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Michelle Pedante of Newark.
A funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 18. Burial followed in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Francis Pat Cahill
Francis "Pat" Cahill, of Port Richey, Fla. died suddenly on Sunday, October 13, 2002 at his residence. He was 52.
Mr. Cahill was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Francis P. Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Newark, Joseph S. of New Castle, Daniel L. of Asheville, N.C.; a daughter, Angel Murphy of New Castle; five grandchildren; his parents, Joseph and Alice Cahill of Middletown; three brothers, Joseph and his wife, Marie of Newark, Michael and his wife, Elizabeth of Newark, Timothy and his wife, Justine of Townsend; three sisters, Alice K. Lams and her husband, Michael of Newark, Barbara L. Hahn and her husband, William of Wilmington and Bertha Aiken of Edgewood, Md.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A service was held on Friday, Oct. 18 in the Chapel at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
George C. Willett, Sr.
George Chalmer Willett, Sr. of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, October 16, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital from complications of cancer. His loving wife and grandson, along with other family members, were at his side. He was 65.
George was born in Johnstown, Pa. on September 9, 1937 to the late John and Edna (Boring) Willett. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was stationed in both Germany and Korea during the 1950s. He was a self-employed food service provider and managed the cafeteria at the DuPont Company's Edgemoor plant and also owned and operated Mary's Luncheonette in Middletown. After his retirement from the food service business, George worked as a slot attendant at Delaware Park. He was a life member of Moose Lodge #1578 and VFW Post #838, both in New Castle. A very vibrant person, he loved spending time with his family, music and metal detecting.
He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Willett.
George will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Mary T. (Panaro) Willett; his grandson, Ryan Willett who was raised by and lived with him; his daughters, Jennifer Westley and Cynthia Willett, both of New Castle and Monica Wipf of Ariz.; his sons, Jason E. Willett and George C. Willett, Jr., both of Fla.; his sister, Joan Grabenstein of Wilmington; his brothers, Carl Willett of Delaware City and John Willett of Wis.; and 10 grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 22. Interment was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in George's memory to the Ryan Willett College Trust Fund, c/o First Union Bank, 1 W. Main St., Middletown, DE 19709.
Natalie Lynam Wieser
Natalie Lynam Wieser, of Smyrna, formerly of Cutchogue, N.Y., died October 18, 2002 at home. She was 50.
She is survived by two sons, George J. Wieser, III of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Jonathan H. Wieser of Cutchogue, N.Y.; and one daughter, Kristen N. Wieser of Los Angeles, Calif..
Graveside services were held Sunday, Oct. 20 in the Epworth Methodist Church Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach. Arrangements by Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna.
