She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roland C. Faulkner in 1998.
Mrs. Faulkner was born in Hartly, to Samuel A. and Lela C. (Ludwig) Virdin. She was a member of the Woman's Army Corps during WWII. She retired from the State of Delaware after many years at the Middletown Health Center. She was a long-time member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Middletown, serving on the Administration Board and the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Faulkner was active in community service with the American Cancer society, M.O.T. Senior Center, Girl Scouts, Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge, Literacy Volunteers, and the Middletown PTA.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen P. Faulkner of Clayton, Jason R. Faulkner of Middletown; four daughters, Susanne V. Townsley of Middletown, Rebecca Manelski of Newport, Va., Virginia Emerson of Middletown, and Elizabeth Bingaman of Reading, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, Andrew Townsley, Eli and Sarah Faulkner, Samuel Manelski, Lauren and Christy Emerson, Anne and Henry Bingaman, Justin, Megan, and Evan Faulkner; two sisters, Ruth Major of Wilmington, and Gertrude Zartner of Nebraska; one brother, Paul Virdin of Texas.
Services will be held Friday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. in the Bethesda United Methodist Church, East Main Street, Middletown. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Old St. Anne s Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to M.O.T. Senior Center or to Bethesda United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
Scott L. Mundell
Born in Hockessin, Scott was a graduate of A.I. DuPont High School, where he set four state swimming records during his senior year.
Scott received a full athletic scholarship to Florida State University and was named an All-American swimmer. He worked as a lifeguard at Boca Raton and Delray Beach, Fla., Atlantic City and Cape May, N.J., Long Beach, Calif., and Hawaii.
Scott's love of physical fitness and athletics led him later to take a position as a sales representative with the Gatorade Corporation in Long Beach, Calif., and Seattle, Wash.
While in Delaware, Scott was a member of Newark Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, Howard J. Mundell, Jr. of Hockessin; brother, Howard J. Mundell III (Melanie) of Newark; niece and nephew, Jessica and James Mundell; grandmother, Vera Mundell of New Castle; grandmother, Ann Hobson of Christiana; aunts and uncles, Jean Mundell, a true angel with whom Scott lived, Linda and Paul Womack of N.C., Tom Hobson of Middletown, Sue and Scott Holden of New Castle, Sandy Curlett of Clayton, Barbara Kirkpatrick of N.J., Charles Hobson of Philadelphia, Pa., and Margo Hobson of New Castle; and many cousins.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Georgianna Mundell, whom he will meet in heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where friends may call after 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 414 Thirteenth Street, Ste. 700, Oakland, CA, 94612.
Frederick J. Burke
Services and burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Clayton Fire Co., P.O. Box 1050, Clayton, DE 19938.
Lorenzo W. Bullock, Sr.
Mr. Bullock is survived by his wife Cheryl; his parents, Carl and Elsie Bullock; sister, Jeryl; brothers, Tony, Lester and Arnold; seven sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 2 at St. Mary's Church, Wilmington. Interment was private.
Betty Jane Alley
Mrs. Alley was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Alley; her children, James Alley, Kathy Biggs, and Deborah Alley; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Hallie Burnett; a stepson, Daniel Alley; and her extended family of Rising Sun, Md..
Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown. Services and burial will be private.

George W. Reed III
He was born in Townsend, the son of the late George and Minnie Reed.
Mr. Reed was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was employed as a truck driver with George C. Rothwell Grains, Smyrna, for 38 years. He retired in 1992.
Mr. Reed was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, Blackbird, and had enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence D. Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary E. Reed; two sons and their wives, George E. and Joyce Reed, of Smyrna; and Bruce K. and Laurie Reed, of Hartly; two daughters and their husbands, Doris and Adam Cosner, of Blackbird; and Deborah and Ronnie Morgan, of Smyrna; two brothers, Harold I. Reed, of Elsmere; and John E. Reed, of Smyrna; a sister, Elizabeth D. McCain, of Smyrna; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Sept. 28 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, Smyrna. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
George C. Henderson Sr.
Mr. Henderson was born in Providence, R.I. on July 19, 1924. He was the son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Henderson. He was a WWII Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marion and two sons, George Henderson of Riverside, R.I., and Stephen Henderson of Jenson Beach, Fla., six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
Natalie Beaston Hadley
Mrs. Hadley was a graduate of Beacom Business School and had worked as a secretary for the DuPont Co. during the 1940s. She was a member of St. Anne s Episcopal Church in Middletown.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Stephen R. Hadley.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen R. Hadley, of Birmingham, Ala. and Reed Hadley of Wilmington, five grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Errin, Cailin, and Meghan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Oct. 3, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne s Episcopal Church, E. Green St., Middletown. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Daniel & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, on Thursday morning. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Middletown.
Howard R. Coleman Sr.
Mr. Coleman spent most of his life farming and he also retired from The State of Delaware Fish, Wildlife and Environmental Control. He was also a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary L. Coleman.
He is survived by his wife of forty and a half years, Irene B. Coleman, a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bill Pressley of Smyrna; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Ronald D. and Carla Coleman of Kenton and Howard R. Jr. and Peggy Coleman of Marydel; two brothers, Rommie Coleman of Kenton and George Coleman of Smyrna; seven grandchildren; two adopted grandchildren five step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren, also a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 1. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery. He will be greatly missed by everyone. The family suggests contributions to the Faith Baptist church, Youth Gym Fund, P.O. Box 294, Smyrna 19977. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
Maynard T. Boulden, Sr.
Mr. Boulden was a WWII Air Force veteran. He started his career with the Post Office in 1938. He was named Postmaster of the Claymont Post Office in 1965 and retired in 1973 after 35 years of service. Later, he worked for 11 years for Continental American Life Insurance Co. in Wilmington. He was a former member of the Claymont Lions Club. Mr. Boulden enjoyed woodworking at home and boating at Buttonwood Beach on the Elk River. He moved to Oak Crest Village Retirement Community, Parkville, Md., in 1996 where he met and married Bertha (Bert) Harrell in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Doris Laura Boulden, who passed away in 1993. He is urvived by his children, Donna Eisenbrey, of Pike Creek, Maynard T. Boulden, Jr., of Mt. Clair, W.V., Jeannette Sculley of Rising Sun, Md., Keith Boulden of Newark and Wayne Boulden of Middletown. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, Sept. 29, at the Gebhart Funeral Home, in Claymont. Burial was in Gracelawn Memorial Park, in New Castle.

Elaine Louise Bradford
Mrs. Bradford was born in Chester, Pa. to Leroy and Mary Sinex McDowell. She was a former member of Harrington Moose Lodge #534, where she formerly served as Senior Regent and Star Recorder. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes.
Mrs. Bradford had worked in several area department stores, including Pomeroy's and Strawbridge & Clothier in Wilmington, and Carlton's in Rehoboth. She loved to travel and had visited 49 of the 50 states. Her favorite place was Grand Teton, Wyom. She enjoyed playing pinochle, watching Jeopardy on TV and working crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Leroy McDowell.
Mrs. Bradford is survived by her husband, James H. Bradford; two daughters, Lois Nowell of Middletown and Vicki Bennett of North East, Md.; and four sons, James Bradford, Jr. of Portland, Ore., Robert Bradford of Bear, Lawrence Bradford of Jacksonville, Fla. and Joseph Bradford of Milford. Other survivors include 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, Sept. 27, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 2nd & Market streets, Lewes, with Father Douglas Culton officiating. Entombment was private in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 2306 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
Gary L. Brown
Brownie worked for Amtrak for 29 years as a car repairman.
Gary loved being with his grandchildren and spending time at the beach in Lewes. He was a member of TWU at Amtrak.
Gary is survived by two daughters; Dawn M. Brown of Newark, and Diana L. Everhart of Middletown; his former spouse, Linda M. Brown; a brother who is unknown; two grandchildren; Skyler and Madison.
A visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 28 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, in Newark.
Burial was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to Delaware Hospice, 3514 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.
Willard O. Campbell
Boots was a graduate of P.S. duPont High School and Goldey-Beacom College. He was an outstanding football player at P.S. duPont and co-captained the championship 1944 football team along with Latane Lamb who later became his brother-in-law. During the second World War he served with the U.S. Army in Japan. Boots was also one of the founding fathers of the Kirkwood Rotary Club.
He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Country Club and the Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla. He was well known in private circles for his talent in playing the "Stompin' Fiddle. Boots was in the automobile business for more than 40 years and at retirement, was the owner/president of Campbell's Future Ford on Kirkwood Highway.
Boots is survived by his loving wife, Doris (Lamb) Campbell; two children, Kathie DiAngelo of Middletown, and Brett Campbell of Gerrardstown, W.V.; and four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, in Lewes, where friends may call after 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A St., Wilmington, DE.
