An avid player with a booming drive, magnificent form and exceptional skill, he was truly passionate about the game. One of its longest active members, he found a second home at the Brantwood Golf Club in Elkton, Md. He was also very proud and honored to have been an investing partner and co-owner of the Woodland Golf Park in Seaford.
Equal to his love of the game, he had a great love and respect for the friends he met through the sport as these friends became family to him. He also found peace and serenity in nature. He frequently took road trips to The Mountains of Central Pennsylvania, where he visited with dear friends and spent his days fishing in the streams or simply observing the wildlife from the porch of a little cabin atop the mountain. He enjoyed watching the turkeys, deer and especially the black bears that wandered into camp, detailing the sightings in a journal kept at the cabin. He also enjoyed the time he spent on the waters of the river and bay, fishing with his son, Stephen. He was overjoyed at having been able to take one last expedition into the bay with his son just weeks ago.
Mr. Lindsey will be remembered as many things: a devoted family man, a kind and easy-going man who always had a joke and a smile, a dedicated and loyal friend, a conscientious and respected employee, but above all, he was a good man who lived a good life. He was a man who endeavored to always do what was right in every situation. He was loved and admired by all those privileged to know him and his departure will surely leave a void in many lives. He will be deeply missed.
