Joseph F. DiAngelo, of Wilmington, died Monday, July 15, 2002. He was 82.
Mr. DiAngelo was born in Wilmington March 7, 1920 to the late Alberto and Filomena (Pantalone) DiAngelo. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was employed with Electric Hose and Rubber Company and retired in 1977. A lifelong resident of Wilmington, Mr. DiAngelo lived a creative life. He enjoyed making wine and beer, and was an avid and devoted gardener. He especially loved growing roses and took great pride in them. He also enjoyed college football and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Joseph, Jr.; and two sisters, Anna Bonaventure and Mary Cirillo.
Mr. DiAngelo is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary L. (Ercole) DiAngelo; four children, Gerald DiAngelo (Sarah) of Townsend, Carl DiAngelo of Bear, Mary Jo DiAngelo of Wilmington and Albert DiAngelo (Rebecca) of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; a sister, Gilda Casarino of Wilmington; three granddaughters, Emily, Sonya and Amelia; and many nieces, nephews and their families; cousins; and in-laws.
Services were held July 20 at the Charles P. Arcaro Funeral Home, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. DiAngelo's memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720 or to the American Heart Association, 1096 Old Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
LuAnn Antonio Edwards
LuAnn Antonio Edwards, of Middletown, formerly of Florida, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at her home from cancer. She was 48.
She had worked as a professional seamstress in Lakeland, Fla. and was also a freelance artist who did sketches and portraits. She was born in Delaware April 14, 1954 and was a 1972 graduate of Conrad High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Smyrna Ward.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Janice and Albert Antonio of Georgetown; two sisters, Kathleen Long of Smyrna and Janice Ozturk of Georgetown; a brother, Mark Antonio of Middletown, with whom she lived; an uncle, Rodney Santa Barbara of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 22 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Smyrna.
Interment was in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Lewes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, c/o Bishop James Estep, 404 Reading Lane, Middletown, DE 19709.

Robert L. Galvin, Sr.
Robert L. Galvin, Sr., of Newark, died Sunday, July 21, 2002 at his home. He was 50.
Mr. Galvin owned and operated Glasgow Citgo and Kirkwood Mobil for more than 28 years. He served in the Delaware National Guard from 1971-1976.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathy L. Galvin; a son, Robert L. Galvin, Jr. of Wilmington; a daughter, Kelli L. at home; a grandson, Robert L. III; four brothers, H. Clifford of Bear, William and Richard, both of Newark, and Ronald of Md.; a sister, Sherrie L. Galvin of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 25 at noon in the Chapel at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington. Friends may call July 25 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the McCrery Funeral Home, 371 Kirkwood Hwy. and Duncan Rd.

Clarence Hollis, Sr.
Clarence Hollis, Sr., of New Castle, died Friday, July 19, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was 75.
Born in Hope, Md., he had been a resident of Delaware for 53 years. Mr. Hollis received skilled nursing care for approximately two years as a resident of the Hillside Center.
Mr. Hollis retired from the city of Wilmington Water Department & Daimler-Chrysler. He was later employed as a part-time security guard with Wells Fargo. Mr. Hollis loved the game of billiards. He enjoyed gospel music, jazz and the blues.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Arvella Fountain Hollis; and a brother, Howard Hollis, Jr.
He is survivors five daughters, Patricia A. and Deborah A. Hollis, both of New Castle, Jean L. Kennedy of Newark, Frances P. Hollis Torres of Middletown and Vera Nadine Henry of Denton, Md.; a son, Clarence Hollis, Jr. of Glen Berne Estates in Wilmington; two sons-in-law, Joel Kennedy and Pierre Wright; two sisters, Rosetta Johnson of Wilmington and Ella Mae Downs of Goldsboro, Md.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Services were held July 25 at Bethel AME Church, Wilmington.
Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Minquadale, New Castle.

Harrison B. "Butch" Lomax, III
Harrison B. Lomax III died Thursday, July 18, 2002. He was 56.
He was born June 26, 1946 in Easton, Md., the son of the late Harrison B. Lomax, Jr. and Mary Catherine Adams Lomax.
Mr. Lomax worked with the Delaware Department of Transportation Traffic Division in Bear as a traffic light repairman for 22 years before retiring in 1998 due to disability.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was a life Boy Scout and former Scout Master in Arizona. He enjoyed model railroading and science fiction movies.
He is survived by a brother, Jerry Lomax (Sheila) of Townsend; two sisters,
Phyllis Lomax and Joyce Opdyke, both of Smyrna; and a nephew, Ronald Opdyke of Harrington.
Services were held July 23 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna.
Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery Smyrna, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th St. Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
William V. Megee
William V. Megee died Sunday, July 21, 2002 in Wilmington. He was 74.
A native Delawarean, he was born on April 20, 1928 in Lewes. He was a graduate of the University of Delaware and a veteran of the Korean War with the 10th Mountain and Ski Troop Division and the Quarter Master Board.
Mr. Megee was President of the Wilmington Airport Shuttle, President and Chairman of the Airport Ground Transportation Assoc. He enjoyed reading and had a quick wit.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary (Patrician) Megee; four children, William Jr. of Denton, Texas, Linda Wakeling of Bear, Melissa Megee of Boothwyn, Pa. and Andrew Megee of Newark; five grandchildren; a brother, Ernest E. Megee, Jr. of Georgetown; and two sisters, Elva E. Nickle of Delaware City and Isabelle Quinn of Wilmington.
A memorial service will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. John, 10 Concord Ave. Wilmington at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 25.
Interment will be private in Lewes.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Lewes Historical Society, Lewes, DE.

Victor Rodalunas
Victor Rodalunas, of Wilmington, died Saturday, July 20, 2002. He was 81.
Mr. Rodalunas is survived by his wife, Justina; and four sons, John, David, Larry and Richard.
Services and burial were private.

James A. Jarrell, Sr.
Mr. Jarrell grew up on a farm in Middletown. He loved his work as an engineer for Conrail, retiring after 27 years of service. He was a member of St. Mark s U.M. Church. James is survived by his wife of 52 years, Meriam M. Jarrell; two sons, James A., Jr., and David A. Jarrell, both of Newark; one sister, Alice McQuate, of Wilmington; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph C. Jarrell, on Feb. 20, 2002.
Services were held Friday, June 24, at Gracelawn Memorial, New Castle.
Cindy L. Maxwell
Mrs. Maxwell was born March 17, 1962, in Dover, to Robert K. Maxwell, Sr. and Joan Wilson Maxwell, of Dover. Mrs. Maxwell was a team leader for Playtex in Dover. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, needlepoint, the outdoors, and taking care of her dogs, cats and fish.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Edward A. Rawley, and Andrew E. Rawley, both of Smyrna; two brothers, Robert K. Maxwell, Jr., and his wife, Louise, and Robert Green Jr., all of Townsend; and a sister, Tammy J. Zinni, of Pennsville, N.J
A funeral service was held Friday, July 15, at the Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna. Burial was private.
Donald D. Lilley
Mr. Lilley was a U.S. Army veteran, serving primarily in Germany. He worked at the Marriott's Crystal Gateway in Arlington, Va. for many years.
He was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Lilley of Tower Hill 2, Pa. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Arthur, Ruth Gillis, Loma Coney, his twin brother, Ronald, Mildred Davis and Lloyd Lilley.
The funeral service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m.

Marie T. Robinson
Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, William P. Robinson, and two daughters, Marian Rozenko, and Theresa Robinson. She is survived by her sons, Patrick, and his wife, Judi, of New Castle, Lawrence, and his wife, Mary, of Rehoboth Beach, and Joseph, and his wife, Laura, with whom she resided for several years; her daughters, Ida Mae Marshall, of Newark, Marie Fitzpatrick, and her husband, Pete, of Wilmington, and Kathleen Maloney, and her husband, Matt, of Middletown; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on July 14, at St. John the Beloved Church, Wilmington. Interment was in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
