Robert L. Oakman of Wilmington died Sunday, March 17, 2002 surrounded by family. He was 45.
Mr. Oakman was employed by the Mac-Direct Company in New Castle. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #74.
He is survived by his mother, Mary J. Oakman; three brothers, Enos Frank Oakman, Fredrick J. Oakman and Anthony J. Oakman, all of Wilmington; and two sisters, Mary Jane Scott of Clayton and Barbara Steele of Middletown.
Services will be held Thursday, March 21 at 8 p.m. at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, where friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
Burial will be private.

Jason Elliott Bradley
Jason Elliott Bradley of New Castle died Saturday, March 16, 2002. He was 22.
Mr. Bradley was a graduate of William Penn High School.
He is survived by his mother, Susan Bradley (Jack Bomberger) of Oxford, Pa.; his grandmother, Eileen C. Elliott of New Castle; four aunts and uncles, Jack and Julie Elliott of Calif., Mark and Debi Elliott of Middletown, Tom and Brenda Bradley of Fla., and Tina and Terry Pendergast of New Castle; and five cousins.
Services and burial were private.

Jane Fayette Perry
Jane Fayette Perry of Newark died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 83.
Mrs. Perry was a homemaker and former owner of Bunny s Grill. She was a member of the Newark United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Michael and Thomas Perry; three daughters, Mary Lou Bashore, Kristin Baynes, both of Newark and Theresa McGalliard of Middletown; 10 grandchildren, Robert Bashore, John Tony Bashore, Michelle Baynes, Michael Perry, Jr., Katie Perry, Nicholas Perry, Chelsea Perry and Chloe Perry, all of Newark, Tiffany H. McGalliard of Middletown and Rebecca J. Roberts of Elkton, Md.; and a niece, Barbara Garlic of Dover.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bayard Perry; and a brother, Robert Trethaway.
Services and interment were private.

Dolores A. Sis (Kane) Bader
Dolores A. Bader of Wilmington died suddenly Friday, March 15, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 64.
Mrs. Bader was a lifelong homemaker and was employed for 27 years at the J.C. Penney Company, Price s Corner, where she was a switchboard operator.
She was the daughter of the late James F. Kane, Sr. and Agnes M. Kane. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School and a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth parish in Wilmington.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Carl F. Bader, Sr.; five children, Kathleen Alfree (Jerry) of New Castle, Carl F. Bader, Jr. (Mary) of Bear, Thomas Bader and Ann Crist (Dave), both of Wilmington, Susan Thompson (Rich) of Middletown; five siblings, Jack Kane (Pat) of New Castle, Joe Kane (Bonnie) of Elsmere, Kathy Krupa (Bill) of Roselle, Raul Kane (Joanne) of Hockessin and Tom Kane (Linda) of Middletown; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Little Jimmy, Bill, Bob and James, Jr.; and a sister, Aggie.
Services were held March 20 at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Wilmington.
Interment was in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.

John L. MacCord
John is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Karen (Parsons); his brothers, Ronald A. MacCord and Bruce C. MacCord, both of New Castle; his aunt, Geraldine MacCord; cousins, Linda Scullion and Gregory MacCord; and many other family members and friends.
Relatives, friends and members of The Delaware Street Rods were invited to participate in John's Life Celebration on Tuesday, March 18 at the Beeson Memorial Services of Newark. Interment was in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In memory of John, a donation made to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 3515 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810 would be appreciated.
Cheyenne Robledo
She was born on February 9, 1998 in Chino, Calif.
Cheyenne loved horses, and enjoyed playing with Barbie dolls and watching cartoons.
She is survived by her mother, Denise Robledo, of Bridgeville; her father, Richard Robledo, of Grand Prairie, Tex.; a half-brother, Tam Lam Jr., of Newark; her maternal grandmother, Doreen Klingerman, of Bridgeville; her maternal grandfather, Joseph E. Freebery Jr., of New Castle; and two maternal great-grandmothers, Edith Klingerman, of Virginia; and Theresa Hopkins, of New Castle.
Memorial Services were Wednesday, March 19 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Interment was private.

Arlene L. Abel
Born in Philadelphia on July 11, 1930, Mrs. Abel was the daughter of the late Adolphus and Eleanor (Minnersman) Lorette.
She retired in 2000 after five years of service as a bus aide for the John G. Leach School in the Colonial School District. Previously, Mrs. Abel worked at Perries Restaurant in New Castle for 25 years.
Mrs. Abel was a member of American Legion Post #2 Ladies Auxiliary, the Newark Senior Center, and the New Castle Rod and Gun Club. Her hobbies included fishing, camping, computers, and needlecraft. Mrs. Abel also enjoyed traveling and trips to Delaware Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Franklin G. Abel, in 1996.
She is survived by her children, Loretta Kasehagen-Durham of Newark; William A. Abel of Baltimore, Franklin G. Abel of Windham, Maine; Elenore Fontana of Middletown; Doris Downs of New Castle; Gail Shappee of Magnolia; Toni Dale of Milford; and Helen "NeNe" Havens of Delaware City; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, 2003.
Marshall "Mac" Caudill
Marshall was born in Tazewell, Va. on April 26, 1947, the son of Frazier and Evelyn Caudill. He grew up in Newport, and attended Brown Tech School. He moved to Durango in 1980. Mac was a jack-of-all-trades, always willing to help those in need.
Survivors include his three children from his first married to Teresa Colicchio Canady, Eric Caudill of Elko, Nevada, Ben Caudill and Melisa Domino, both of Wilmington. He is also survived by two daughters from his second marriage, Briana and Emma Caudill, both of Durango, Col.; brothers, Doug Caudill of Hockessin, Roger Caudill of Pawley's Island, S.C., Kenny Caudill of Middletown, and Garry Caudill of Newark; sister, Pam Barr of Bear; two grandsons, Avery and Ethan; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at First Baptist Church in Durango, Col. on Feb. 28.

Brian Patrick Laverty
Brian worked in construction with Unlimited Exteriors. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America and loved to help everyone he met. Brian loved all animals.
He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Edward P. and Eleanor B. Laverty.
He is survived by his parents, Mary Lou Laverty of Wilmington and James T. Laverty of Middletown; three brothers, Christopher M., Matthew T. and Andrew J.; sister, Megan L., all of Wilmington; maternal grandparents, Antoinette Munch and Howard A. Bartlett.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 14, 2003 at the McCrery Memorial Chapel, Kirkwood Hwy. and Duncan Rd., Wilmington. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery.

Mary A. Paciocco
The greatest joys in her life were her three grandchildren, Jessica (11), Matthew (5), and Amanda (4).
She is also survived by her two daughters, Maryann Grayo and her husband, Michael of Philadelphia, and Rosemarie Ladzinski and her husband, Ed of Middletown.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 15 in the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown. Interment was private.

Jo-Anne C. Swift
Mrs. Swift was born on June 12, 1930 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Edward P. and Jane Whitlock Chance. Mrs. Swift was a resident of Cecil County for 15 years coming from Paoli, Pa. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, where she served on the Vestry, numerous committees and taught Sunday school, and was a member of the Lower Cecil County Senior Center and the M.O.T. Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Royden M. Swift, Jr. in 1977.
She is survived by a son, Royden M. "Doc" Swift, III and his wife Maureen of Millington, Md.; two daughters, M. Jayne Kauffman and her husband Conrad, and Gertrude J. "Trudy" Torres, all of Boston, Mass.; five grandchildren, Jessica, Caitlin, and Samual Kauffman, and Rachael and Royden M. "Max" Swift, IV.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 10 Glebe Rd., Earleville, Md.

Damon W. Tomlinson, Sr.
Mr. Tomlinson was born September 19, 1929 in Monongah, W.V., the son of the late Herbert McKinley Tomlinson and Edna Dexter Tomlinson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Chrysler Corp. He was past president of the Delaware State Council of Senior Citizens, was active in UAW Retirees Local #1212 and UAW Local #435. He was an advocate for universal healthcare and was a winner of numerous awards.
He was also a member of Red Lion Evangelical Free Church in Bear. His hobbies included crabbing and fishing. Damon was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Of all his activities and awards, the most important thing to Mr. Tomlinson was his devotion to his family.
He was preceded in death by his nine siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Guhl Tomlinson; three sons, Damon Tomlinson Jr. and his wife, Glenda of Elkton, Md., Daniel Tomlinson and his wife, Betty of Newark and Brett Tomlinson and his wife, Pam of North East, Md.; a daughter, Cheryl Beaston of Middletown; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, on Monday, March 17. Burial was private.

Kathleen Hart Worth
Born in Townsend on July 8, 1912, Mrs. Worth was the daughter of the late Benjamin R. and Katie (Gill) Wells.
She retired in 1972 from the Middletown and Smyrna School districts after 25 years of service as a school lunch superintendent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew D. Worth in 1950.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen W. Worth of Wilmington; a brother, Jerome D. Wells of Wilmington; a sister, Gladys Howell of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Ruth A. James
Mrs. James was raised in Flora, Ind. and had attended the Flora Public Schools. She was married on May 6, 1950 to Vernon B. James. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Mt. Ayr. Ruth has been a Sunday school teacher there for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lorraine Wingard, and a sister.
She is survived by her husband Vernon James, son Michael and wife Glenda James of Renssealer, Ind., daughter Deborah and husband Glen Stickler of Middletown, her sister Juanita and husband William Straughn of Marion, Ind., brother Charles and wife Tina Wingard of Gary, Ind., and three grandchildren, Shawn and Stephanie Stickler, Angela and James Vest, and Kevin Stickler.
Services were held March 18 in Mt. Ayr, Ind.
Agnes T. Boyles
She was born in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Stephen and Ida Urban. She moved to Delaware in her youth.
Mrs. Boyles was a member of St. Polycarp Parish, Smyrna and a life member and past president of the ladies auxiliary of Citizens Hose Co., Smyrna. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Boyles, in 1976; and by a grandson, Greg Melville, in 1988.
She is survived by a son, William Boyles, of Ocean View; two daughters, Nancy Melville, of Woodstown, N.J.; and Carol Timmons of Smyrna; a brother, Francis Urbaniak, of Elkton, Md.; two sisters, Rose Cole, of Clayton; and Mary Green, of Dover; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon on Friday, March 21 at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South St., Smyrna. Friends may call at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
