He was born in Philadelphia on April 15, 1912. In his youth, he professionally raced motorcycles. Then he worked at General Motors until it changed in 1941 to eastern aircraft where he was a final inspection foreman for Wildcat Aircraft.
During his life, Paul owned and operated a Texaco service station and garage in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. He also owned and operated Liberty Harbor Marina on Barnegat Bay in Warctown, N.J. from 1961 to 1973. Paul was involved in the development and operation of the Atlantis Country Club in Tuckerton, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline A. Cook.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Ruth (Peg) of Fort Myers Beach and daughter Jeanne S. Brewer of Bonita Springs, Fla. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren; Lindsey Cook of Bricktown, N.J.; Robert Cook of Millstone Township, N.J.; and Cynthia Brewer of Middletown; and five great grandchildren.
According to his wishes, no services will be held. He will be remembered as a loving, helpful man with a great sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
Jeanne Milne Maina
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Milne and Fred Maina.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Shaw, and her husband George; a son, William Milne, and his wife Doris; seven grandchildren, Kim, Tammy, Laurie, Liana, Steven, Tiana and Shannon; nine great grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Jamie, Lindsay, Ryan, Kara, Chance, Brent and Charlie; and three great-great-grandchildren, Alex, Nevaeh and Brayden.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, from the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown. Interment will be private.
Annie Grace Hall Collins
Mrs. Collins was born July 9, 1914, in Camden, daughter of the late Edward and Katie Grace Hall.
She attended schools in Felton, Magnolia and Dover before graduating in 1932 from George Biddle High School in Cecilton, Md.
After her married in 1935, she and her husband moved to a dairy farm near Warwick, where she resided until her death.
Mrs. Collins was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Warwick, and The Maryland Farm Bureau.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Gilbert L. Collins Sr., in 1995; a son, G. LeRoy Collins Jr.; a sister, Katie Leola Collins; and five brothers, Edward Hall, Charles Hall, Harry Hall, Robert Hall and Grover Hall.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Katie and Ray Whiteoak of Wilmington; four grandchildren and two grandsons-in-law, Katie Beth and Matthew Ryan of Newark, Joseph Whiteaok III of Martinsburg, W.Va., Timothy Collins of Dover and Pamela and Patrick Davids of Rosedale, Md.; four great-granddaughters, Nicole Hosler of Middletown and Gwendolyn Ryan, Lorna Ryan and Emma Ryan, all of Newark; and a brother, Kenneth Hall of Beacon, N.Y.
Services were held Feb. 5 at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, Middletown.
Burial followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Mabel Frances Kemether
Mrs. Kemether was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Frank and Flora Downey.
At one time, she was a secretary for the Delaware State Police.
She loved to cook and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Kemether was was a member of Otts Chapel in Newark, where she taught Sunday school.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman W. Kemether; a stepson, William Kemether; two brothers; and a sister.
She is survived by her companion, Nugene Baker of Middletown; a stepson and a stepdaughter-in-law, Dennis P. and Susan Kemether of Newark; two daughters and a son-in-law, Charlotte Jean and Allen Stoddard Sr. of Townsend and Carol Ann Russell of York, Pa.; six grandchildren, Kimberly D Andrea, Norma Jean Brister, Donald Billy Russell, Bonnie Ann Zistl, Philip Kemether and Allen Stoddard Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 5 at Beeson Funeral Home, Newark.
Burial was in White Clay Creek Cemetery, Newark.

Ellen Jean Laws
Mrs. Laws was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Albert E. and Bessie Ellis Zachies.
She retired in 1981 after 25 years as a cafeteria manager at Gunning Bedford School.
Known throughout her life as a loving and nurturing person, she was a caretaker not only to her own beloved family, but also to anyone in need. No child ever went hungry at Gunning Bedford. If one of the schoolchildren did not have money for lunch, she took care of the payment personally. Her bountiful kindness extended also to caring for birds and stray animals. She loved having beautiful flowers around her and was an accomplished gardener. Mrs. Laws also delighted in dancing, particularly during evenings out with her husband at the Lions Club. Her favorite color, purple, matched her joyous personality. She will be remembered especially for her keen sense of humor, her ever-present smile and her ready laughter.
Mrs. Laws was an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Delaware City for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hilles Laws Jr., on Oct. 19, 2006.
She is survived by a devoted son and a daughter-in-law, Norman H. III and Mary Pat Laws of Delaware City; a daughter and a son-in-law, Suzanne and James Long of Delaware City; a brother, Ralph Zachies of Orlando, Fla.; six granddaughters, Laurie Ann Newberry, Andrea Jill Long, Marissa Jean Brusstar, Caitlin Patricia Laws, Whitney Marie Laws and Delanie Lynne Laws; and a great-grandson, Junathan Nathaniel Long.
Services were Feb. 3 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, Delaware City.
Burial was in St. Georges Cemetery, Kirkwood-St. Georges Road.

Katherine E. Wright
Mrs. Wright was born July 13, 1914, in Carneys Point, N.J., daughter of the late George and Sarah Joseph Truitt.
She was a gifted homemaker and also was employed in sales with the House of Watches in Wilmington for 17 years until 1967.
She was devoted to animals throughout her life and donated her time and resources to many local animal shelters. She was an avid crossword puzzle fan and also enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and playing the organ.
Mrs. Wright was a longtime member of St. Paul s United Methodist Church in Odessa and volunteered for many years at the Delaware Home for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Oliver David Wright, in 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann Wright of Odessa; a sister, Iris Eskridge of Odessa; many dear nieces and nephews; her housekeeper and friend, Komara Zee Zenebu; and her St. Paul s Church family, including the Rev. Karin G. Tunnell.
Services were Feb. 2 at St. Paul s United Methodist Church, Odessa.
Burial was in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.

Roberta Steinberg Payerle
Mrs. Payerle was born in the Bronx, N.Y. She was a resident of Middletown for the past few years, before which she lived in Wappinger s Falls, N.Y., for more than 30 years.
Her greatest joys were playing bridge with her friends, spending time with her family and doing anything her grandchildren s hearts desired. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her beloved and adoring husband of 48 years, Norman E. Payerle; a dear daughter and a son-in-law, Debi and Jim Pequignot of Summerfield, N.C.; a son and a daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Donna Payerle of Richboro, Pa.; and four dear grandchildren, Kristin, Ashley, Ryan and Eric.
A viewing and services were held Feb. 3, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, in Richboro.
Burial was in Forest Cemetery, Middletown, on Feb. 5.

E. Jeanette Quillen
Mrs. Quillen was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Emily and Beverly W. Pleasanton Sr.
A talented homemaker throughout her life, she was also employed as a secretary for the DuPont Company in Wilmington during the early years of her marriage.
She was an avid traveler who went on trips with friends and traveled to visit family. For more than 57 years, she enjoyed going to her cottage in Fenwick Island that she helped her husband build. She enjoyed feeding the birds and loved animals. She took in and fed many stray cats and dogs through the years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Quillen was active in the Port Penn community, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Port Penn Fire Company. She enjoyed attending the church potluck dinners where she was known for her wonderful bread pudding.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Quillen Sr., in 1994.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond A. Quilllen Jr. of Port Penn and Frank W. and JoAnn Quillen of Centerville; a brother, Beverly W. Pleasanton Jr. of Milford; three grandsons, Michael Q. Russell, Jason W. Quillen, and Ryan A. Quillen; a great-grandson, Donovan Russell; and many cherished and devoted friends.
Services were held Feb. 6 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, Delaware City.
Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn.

Gertrude E. Dolly Foraker
Gertrude E. Foraker of Bowers Beach died Monday, January 28, 2002 at home. She was 78.
Mrs. Foraker had worked as a registered nurse in the Kent General Hospital in Dover for 29 years. She and her husband moved to Florida before retuning back to Delaware. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #101 in Webster, Fla. and was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Post 7937 VFW in Greensboro.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles E. Foraker, Sr.; a son, Charles E. Foraker, Jr. of Bowers Beach; a sister, Dorothy Cash of Wilmington; three brothers, Walter H. Mill of Bushnell, Fla., Willard E. Miller of Newark and Webster S. Miller of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Charles E. Foraker, III, Donald Foraker, Roger Foraker and Tammy Foraker; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer T. Miller.
Services were held Feb. 1 at Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home, Townsend.
Interment was in Townsend Cemetery.

James R. Bob Grimm, Sr.
James R. Grimm, Sr. of Delaware City died Saturday, February 2, 2002 at Christiana Hospital in Newark. He was 60.
Mr. Grimm retired from SPI Polyols due to illness. He also served in the US Marine Corps. Mr. Grimm resided in Delaware City since 1965 where he was a member of the Lions Club, Recreation Club and American Legion. He organized the Old Timers softball game, which benefited the Lions Club Sight and Hearing Fund. He was a dedicated Eagles fan, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog, Harry.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, H. Patsy Grimm; his father, Howard Grimm, Sr. of Dover; two sons, James R. Grimm, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Delaware City and Gary Grimm of Wilmington; a daughter, Lisa Knapp (James) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Robert and Lauren Grimm and Trent Knapp; and a brother, Howard Grimm, Jr. of Middletown.
Mr. Grimm was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Grimm; and two brothers, Roger Grimm and Harry Grimm.
Services were held Feb. 6 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes, Delaware City.
Interment was in the Delaware Veteran s Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

Darlene (Domino) Hutchinson
Darlene Hutchinson of Middletown died Tuesday, January 29, 2002 surrounded by her family. She was 58.
Mrs. Hutchinson was a community advocate and was president of the Dickerson Farm Service Corp. She served on the NCC Southern Advisory Board and was a member of the Citizens Police Academy.
She was a native Delawarean, attending Wilmington High School. She worked since age 14, but most notably 20 years at ICI America before starting her own company, Meetings Etc for the past 10 years. She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach.
Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles Hutch ; a daughter, Donna Rapuano (Leon); a son, Charles Hutchinson, Jr. (Debbie); six grandchildren, Raffael Scarpone, Leon, Lindsay and Taylor Rapuano, and Holly and Ashley Hutchinson; a brother, Samuel Domino, Jr.; and three sisters, Rose Marie Giansanti, Caroline Strollo and Barbara Prucino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Stella Domino.
Services were held Feb. 2 at Doherty Funeral Home, Pike Creek.
Interment was private.

Margaret E. Okley
Margaret E. Okley of Villanova, Pa. died Thursday, January 31, 2002 at the Wayne Center in Wayne, Pa. She was 80.
She was born Nov. 11, 1921, daughter of the late Margaret Scarbough and George H. Insolo.
Mrs. Okley was a homemaker and had worked as a model in New York City, N.Y. She was a former Miss Delaware and place in the top 10 in the Miss America Pageant in the 1940s.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Reginald F. Okley, Jr.
Services were held Feb. 4 at Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, near Smyrna.
Theresa M. Sammons
Theresa M. Sammons of Middletown, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday, February 3, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital n Newark. She was 77.
Mrs. Sammons was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, was very involved with major church fundraisers and was instrumental in starting the Home and School Association. She volunteered at Our Lady of Fatima school library and the Mary Campbell Center. She enjoyed painting, playing bingo, crafts and social events.
She is survived by eight children, Elaine Kozlowski (Frank) of Newark, Kathleen Garcia (Thomas) of Middletown, Roger B. Sammons (Maxine) of Brandon, Minn., Timothy Sammons (Kathleen), Patricia Pribish (James) and Maryann Mitchell (George), all of New Castle and Richard Sammons and Thomas Sammons, both of Wilmington; a sister, Doris Becker (Ernest); a sister-in-law, Patricia Drzewicki (John); a brother-in-law, Mike Sammons (Nancy); eight grandchildren, Angela Marino, Christopher Lozlowski, Nicholas Sammons, Samantha Garcia, Alycia Garcia, Madison Pribish, Holly Sammons and Jacob Sammons; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Roger F. Sammons; and a son, Gerald E. Sammons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 801 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
