Antoinette M. Panicola, 85
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Antoinette M. Panicola of Long Island died after a short illness Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover, Del. She was 85.
Mrs. Panicola was a spirited woman who in her younger days was known as "Toots Marino, Brooklyn's Blues Singer," as the female vocalist in an orchestra.
She graduated from Drake Business School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She worked as a receptionist for the rectory of St. Frances Cabrini in Coram, N.Y. for 20 years.
Mrs. Panicola was a member of the Columbiettes, while her husband was as a Knight of Columbus, and was a prominent council and community member of St. Joseph's Village, Selden, N.Y. She served as a eucharistic minister for the Catholic church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Anthony V. Panicola, in 1999.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael A. and Florence Panicola of West Islip, N.Y. and Anthony M. and Marianne Panicola of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Panicola and Ron Gough of Dover; seven grandchildren, Dina Stamm, Anthony V. Panicola II, Terianne Gough, Nicole Gough, Michael Panicola, all of Dover, Denise Kesler of North Babylon, N.Y. and Mary Graziano of Oakdale, N.Y.; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren and Jonathan Stamm of Dover and Jennifer Kesler of North Babylon, N.Y.
Services were in St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church in Coram, N.Y.
Burial was in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y.

Eliza Mae Powell, 84
MASSETTE, N.Y. - Eliza Mae Powell of Massette died after a long illness Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, in Hempstead Hospital in New York. She was 84.
Mrs. Powell was born May, 10, 1919 in Mobile, Ala.
She was educated in Alabama.
Mrs. Powell was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Great Neck, N.Y. for 40 years where she served as an usher and missionary. She was also a member of O.E.S. P.H.A. in Alabama and demitted to New York for 55 years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Felicia D. Pickett of Dover, Del.; seven grandchildren, Clara Meads of Dover, Dayrl Owens of Mobile, Ala., Ramona Washington of Andrews Air Force Base, Samona Pickett of Houston, Del., Steven Huges of Houston, Kimbley Huges of Houston and Samuel Harris of Tampa, Fla.; two step-grandchildren, Andrea Robinson of Laurel, Md. and Michael Brinkley of McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, 15B Allen Drive, Great Neck, N.Y.
Burial will be private.

James Oliver Reed, 65
HOUSTON - James Oliver Reed of Houston died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in his home. He was 65.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Harold F. Sebold, 91
DOVER - Harold F. Sebold of Dover died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 91.
Mr. Sebold was born March 10, 1911, in North Bergen, N.J., son of the late George and Nellie (Jesup) Sebold.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He moved to Dover with General Foods/Kraft Foods and worked with them for 43 years.
Mr. Sebold was a member of the American Legion and the Civil War Round Table.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Sebold in 2001; two brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by a niece, Valerie Sebold of New Jersey; and a brother, Lester Sebold of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Remembrance services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.

Sharon K. Seichepine, 50
FELTON - Sharon K. Seichepine of Felton died after a brief illness Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 50.
Mrs. Seichepine was a waitress at the Iron Gate Restaurant in Dover. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Kenneth William Seichepine; and her parents, Wallace E. McFarland and her beloved mother, Edna M. McFarland.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Roy A. Seichepine of Felton; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Sumner of Newark; three sons, Richard Ralph Sumner of Milford, John W. Seichepine of Salisbury, Md. and Brian A. Seichepine of Dover; three granddaughters, Holly Ann Shively and Heather Caitlin Shively of Newark and Madison Ann Sumner of Milford; a grandson, Joshua D. Franklin of Newark; a sister, Jackie D. Letterman of Newark; and three brothers, Richard E. McFarland of Newark, William "Rusty" McFarland of New Castle and Orrin R. "Randy" McFarland of Elkton, Md.
Service will be noon Wednesday in R.T. Foard and Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be in Kemblesville Methodist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Sharon's name may be made to the Liver Disease Foundation, c/o the funeral home.
Bessie Allen Tubbs, 93
SEAFORD - Bessie Allen Tubbs of Seaford died of heart failure Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in Seaford Center of Genesis Elder Care, Seaford. She was 93.
Miss Tubbs was born in Oak Grove, west of Seaford, daughter of the late Leroy and Florence Messick Tubbs.
She was a telegraph operator for Western Union for 40 years.
Miss Tubbs was treasurer of the Soroptimist Club of Seaford for more than 25 years. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two great-nephews, Alan L. Tubbs of Boston and Roger W. Tubbs of Seaford; and three nieces, Catherine Matthews of Laurel, Faye Fields of Salisbury, Md., and Elaine Monger of Elkton, Md.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford.
Graveside services and burial will be noon Thursday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford, with the Rev. Robert D. Robinson officiating.
Cora M. Warner, 98
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Cora M. Warner of Chestertown died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Magnolia Hall Nursing Center, Chestertown. She was 98.
Mrs. Warner was born in Sandy Bottom, daughter of the late Perry and Luvenia Freeman.
She was employed by private families and was a custodian at St. Paul Church in Sandy Bottom.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and knitting. She and her late sister, Hannah Grinnell, did wallpaper hanging.
Mrs. Warner was a member of John Wesley Methodist Church in Sandy Bottom.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Warner; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by five daughters, Edna Phillips, Ruth Phillips both of Worton, Barbara Warner of Sandy Bottom, Gloria Brown of Germantown, Pa. and Janice Miller of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sons, George Warner of Chestertown, Stanley Warner of Church Hill and Edward Warner of Pondtown; three sons-in-law, Arlington Phillips, James Phillips and George Brown Sr.; three daughters-in-law, Patricia Warner, Diane Warner and Sadie Warner; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today in Aaron Chapel U.M.C. in Rock Hall, Md., where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Lawrence Purnell will officiate.
Burial will be in Church Cemetery.

Genevieve W. Wells, 86
REHOBOTH BEACH - Genevieve W. Wells of Rehoboth Beach died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in Lewes Convalescent Center. She was 86.
Mrs. Wells was a seamstress in the Rehoboth Beach area for many years.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Wells; and a son, William Wells.
She is survived by her husband, Melville M. Wells Jr.; a son, Melville M. Wells III of Newark; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private.
