Raymond Theodore Burton Sr., 74
GEORGETOWN - Raymond Theodore Burton Sr., of Georgetown, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 74.
Mr. Burton was born in Millsboro, son of the late John Raymond and Edna Baylis Burton.
He was a truck driver for Parker Block Co., Millsboro, for more than 30 years, retiring in 1991.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark L. Burton and a grandson, Kevin L. Burton.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marian A. Sturgis Burton; a daughter, Essie Nichols of Seaford; a son, Raymond Theodore Burton Jr. of Hampton, Va.; three sisters, Aileen Broughton, Helen Burton, and Carrie Burton, all of Millsboro; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. Pastor Sam Dennis Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be in the Union Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery, Clarksville.
Myrtle A. Daniels, 80
SMYRNA - Myrtle A. Daniels, of Smyrna, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 80.
Mrs. Daniels was the daughter of the late Harvey and Elva Biddle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin J. Daniels in 1973.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Daniels enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and spending time with her family, who all loved her very much.
She is survived by six daughters and five sons-in-law, Margaret and William McFadden of Woodside, Ethel and Lewis Morris of Clayton, Anna and Dennis Hoebee of Smyrna, Mary and Tom Say of Cheswold, Barbara and Rick McLamb of Smyrna and Jenny Daniels, also of Smyrna; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Lee and Fran Biddle of Clayton, James and Sharon Daniels of Smyrna, Robert and Brenda Daniels of Smyrna, and her devoted son who cared for her and with whom she lived with, Richard Daniels of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home, 217 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call after 10:30 am.
Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
Paul S. Logan Sr., 76
WILMINGTON - Paul S. Logan Sr., of Wilmington, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003. He was 76.
Mr. Logan was a truck driver for Hires Turner Glass Co., for many years and retired from Conoco in 1991.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local 326 and a 50-year member and former assistant chief of Mill Creek Fire Co. He was also a member of the New Castle County and the Delaware State Fireman's Associations.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy D. Logan, in 2002; four brothers, Francis, Walter, Robert, and William Logan; and a sister, Mildred Sharpe.
He is survived by five children, Stacey M. Gill and her husband, Wilson, of Elkton, Md., Stephanie D. Pickering of Dover, and Paul S. Logan, Tracey L. Bennett, and Michael E. Logan Sr., all of Wilmington; three stepsons, Richard and Robert Edmunson, both of Wilmington, and Thomas Taylor of Maryland; a sister, Beulah Taylor of Dover; a dear friend, Shirl Hicken; and 13 grandchildren
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road, Wilmington, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the Mill Creek Fire Co., 3900 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
Jaqueline Bronté Magee, 46
DOVER - Jaqueline Bronté Magee, of Dover, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. She was 46.
Ms. Magee was born July 14, 1956, in Easton, Md., daughter of Eugene Worden Magee and Mildred Russell Magee of Hurlock, Md.
She graduated from Colonel Richardson High School, class of 1974, and received a bachelor's degree in early childhood from Delaware State University.
She was the residence manager at Delaware State University.
Her early Christian life began at Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston, Md.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her devoted son, Brandon Magee-Milbourne, of Dover; a sister, Eugenia Magee of Upper Marlboro, Md.; 13 aunts, 10 uncles, a great-aunt, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Hurlock United Methodist Church, Hurlock.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the church. The Rev. Arthur L. de`Souza George will officiate,
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Preston.

B. Helen Patrick, 92
MILLSBORO - B. Helen Patrick, of Millsboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in the Lewes Convalescent Center, Lewes. She was 92.
Mrs. Patrick was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Patrick, in April 1998, and by a grandson, Bruce Lank.
She is survived by two daughters, Anne Lank and Fran Ounan, both of Millsboro; a sister, Pearl Taylor of Ocala, Fla.; two grandchildren, Lynn Azato of Millsboro and Karen Ounan of Rehoboth Beach; and four great-grandchildren, Christine Azato and Stefanie Azato, both of Millsboro, James Azato of Lewes, and Jennifer Lank of Aston, Pa.
Services were held in the Lewes Convalescent Center, where she had been a resident.

Wilbur R. 'Hookie' Rodgers, 88
REHOBOTH BEACH - Wilbur R. "Hookie" Rodgers, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of University Park, Md., died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in his home. He was 88.
Mr. Rodgers was born May 11, 1914, in Washington, D.C., son of the late Norman C. Rodgers and Antoinette Rodgers. He had been a resident of Sussex County for 23 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years during World War II, from 1942-46.
Mr. Rodgers was a baker and had his own shop as well as his last employment with Safeway, from which he retired from as manager in 1977, both in the Washington, D.C. area.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia; three children, Barbara L. Clark and Richard J. Popp, both of Fort Washington, Md., and Vera K. O'Boyle of Waldorf, Md.; five grandchildren, Michael R. Clark, Corbett R. Clark, Steven G. Clark, Frank Beck and Teri Servetnick; and five great-grandchildren, Terra Row, Ian Clark, Hannah Keith, Alex Servetnick and Candace Servetnick.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes, were friends may call after 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Gladys I. Schrimsher, 79
REHOBOTH BEACH - Gladys I. Schrimsher, of Rehoboth Beach, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, with her daughter and son, Lauri Kreis and Scotty Hayden, by her side. She was 79.
Mrs. Schrimsher owned and operated the S&S Market (currently Crystals) in Rehoboth Beach along with her husband during the 1960s and early 1970s. After selling the business she worked at Flo-Ed Fashions and Treasure Island Fashion.
Mrs. Schrimsher was known as a loving, kind, funny and generous person. She will be sadly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R., and a son, Frank L. Schrimsher.
In addition to her daughter and son she is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Hayden of Lewes; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mildred Scott of Millsboro; a stepson and step-daughter-in-law, Ralph and Janie Schrimsher of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Taylor, Scott and Cory Kreis, Rob Wolhar, Ric Hackett and Terry Freels; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Gladys Schrimsher and her son, Frank, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Parsell Funeral Home and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes.
