Sandra L. 'Sandy' Andrews
GREENWOOD - The family of Sandra L. "Sandy" Andrews of Greenwood will be having a special celebration of her life.
Mrs. Andrews was born Feb. 25, 1946, in Hopewell, Va., daughter of Dorothy Breeding Belton and the late Thomas Belton.
She was a 1964 graduate of Greenwood High School, and after rearing her children, she fulfilled a lifelong dream and received her registered-nurse certification at Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown, in 1986 at age 40. Her nursing career included employment with Milford Memorial Hospital; Country Rest Home, Greenwood; the Harrison House, Georgetown; and the Methodist Manor House, Seaford, where she was a charge nurse.
Mrs. Andrews was a godly lady who had a great compassion for the elderly. She wanted them to have good-quality lives.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Michelle and Robert Mitchell of Greenwood and Sherry and Carl Chance of Seaford; her stepfather, Elmer Leggs Jr. of Greenwood; three sisters, Charlotte Fleischauer, Bonnie Dobraski and Elizabeth Maddox, all of Greenwood; six grandsons; and two granddaughters.
All family and friends are welcome to join the celebration of Mrs. Andrews' life at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bridgeville Church of God, 7046 Seashore Highway (Del. 404 North). The Rev. Tom Gross will officiate.

Ronald C. 'Ronnie' Andrews, 62
GREENWOOD - Ronald C. "Ronnie" Andrews of Greenwood died, after a long illness, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at Genesis ElderCare, Seaford. He was 62.
Mr. Andrews graduated from Greenwood High School in 1959.
He was a farmer, which was one of his loves. Starting as a very young boy, he farmed until his health would not permit him to anymore.
Mr. Andrews liked old cars. His pride and joy was his 1956 Ford convertible that he had when he was younger, and he held many fond memories of it. He also liked to watch and talk about sports of all kinds. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Andrews; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Kay and Douglas White of Lewes and Ronica and David McGovern of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren, Lance White and Danielle McGovern; his mother, Charlotte Andrews of Greenwood; a sister, Cynde Eakin of Greenwood; and a brother, Richard Andrews of Greenwood.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood, where friends may call two hours earlier.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Co. Ambulance, P.O. Box 1, Greenwood, DE 19950.

Marjorie Brooks Cantwell, 78
MILFORD - Marjorie Brooks Cantwell of Milford died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at the Milford Center. She was 78.
Mrs. Cantwell was born March 21, 1924, in Annapolis, Md., daughter of the late John F. and Naomi E. Wagner Brooks.
She was employed as a unit clerk for 21 years at Milford Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Cantwell, in 1983.
She is survived by four sons, Gerald E. Cantwell of Hurlock, Md., George Craig Cantwell of Key West, Fla., John T. Cantwell of Millsboro and Timothy D. Cantwell of Milford; a brother, John F. Brooks of Stevensville, Md., four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Services and burial will be private.
Arrangements made by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.

Donald Lee Dennis Jr., 36
LEWISVILLE, Pa. - Donald Lee Dennis Jr. of Lewisville died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003. He was 36.
Mr. Dennis was born Dec. 13, 1966, in Elkton, Md., son of Virginia Keyes Dennis of Elkton and the late Donald Lee Dennis Sr.
He was a heavy-equipment operator for Maryland Materials, North East.
Mr. Dennis was extremely family-oriented and very active with his children in their school and after-school activities. He also was an avid dirt track racing and NASCAR fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 12 years, Joyce S. Dennis; three children, Brittany, Thad and Katie, all of the family's home; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Dan Vannier of Harrington, Del.; six nieces; two nephews; two great-nephews; and a great-niece.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, where family and friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Jonnie Nickles and the Rev. Dwane Murray will officiate.
Burial will be in Union (Md.) Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Donald L. Dennis Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o the Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921.

Charles E. Ellis Sr., 58
DOVER - Charles E. Ellis Sr. of Dover died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 58.
Mr. Ellis was born Sept. 7, 1944, in Wilmington, son of the late Samuel and Eleanor (Moore) Ellis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Ellis was a security guard at Wesley College for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Margaret Ellingsworth Ellis of Dover; a son, Charles E. Ellis Jr. of Dover; a daughter, Marylou Carroll of Dover; three brothers, Clifford Ellis of Smyrna, James Ellis of Middletown and Joe Ellis of Sudlersville, Md.; a sister, Doris Slacum of Smyrna; and five grandchildren, Tessa, Hannah, Eric, Dave, Jr. and Brian, all of Dover.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Trader Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Evelyn Ruth Fruscione, 88
WYOMING - Evelyn Ruth Fruscione of Wyoming died of complications of a stroke sustained 21/2 years ago, Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, in her home. She was 88.
Mrs. Fruscione was born March 30, 1914, in Busselton, Pa.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Fruscione enjoyed crocheting, macramé, oil painting, needlework and crafts. She also owned two horses, which gave her great joy. She liked to do yard work and flower gardening. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be remembered as a loving and giving person.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmelo "Doc" Fruscione.
She is survived by a daughter, with whom she lived, Lorraine M. Phillips; a grandson, Walter James "Jimmy" Phillips of Georgetown; three brothers-in-law, Mike Fruscione of Hartly, Angelo Fruscione of New Jersey and Tony Fruscione of Las Vegas; a sister-in-law, Mary Petio, and Mrs. Petio's husband, Jewels, of St. Lucie, Fla.;, and a nephew, Charles Fruscione of Trenton, N.J.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Sandra 'Sandi' Hall Goldberg, 57
SMYRNA - Sandra "Sandi" Hall Goldberg of Smyrna died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 57.
Mrs. Goldberg was born in Granite City, Ill., daughter of Charles L. and Eva A. Hall, both of Dover.
She was a graduate of Middletown High School and attended the University of Delaware.
Mrs. Goldberg was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time at Windfields Farm with horse legend Northern Dancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Goldberg, in 1996.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Darsan Sanders Conyer of Smyrna; two sons, Damion Patton Goldberg of Elkton, Md., and Dar Hall Overbey of High Point, N.C.; two brothers, Charles L. Hall Jr. of New Castle and Robert M. Hall of Hawaii; a grandson, Dar Tanner Overbey of High Point; and her constant companion, Spuds M.
Services and burial will be private.
Arrangements were by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, Smyrna.

Alice C. Semans Haggerty, 76
DOVER - Alice C. Semans Haggerty of Dover died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 76.
Mrs. Haggerty was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Carroll.
She was employed by Playtex for 20 years. After leaving Playtex, she was a seamstress and a homemaker.
She enjoyed Little League baseball and other activities with her grandchildren. She also was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Nicholas Semans; her husband of 25 years, Clayton Semans; two sisters, Edna Morris and Ethel Myers, both of Maryland; and her husband of 13 years, William "Dick" Haggerty.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Louis E. and Betsy Semans of Viola; a daughter, with whom she lived, June L. Semans of Dover; three sisters, Blanche Vonville and Helen Russum, both of Sudlersville, Md., and Virginia Hopkins of Felton; five grandchildren and the spouses of three, Neal H. Semans of Dover, Melissa A. and Paul Cain of Camden-Wyoming, R. Israel and Carrie Mabrey of Magnolia, Faren L. and Kent Brown of Dover and Amy C. Semans of Viola; seven great-grandchildren, Carrie and Gregory Semans, Samantha and Leanne Fox, Paul Cain, Cora Mabrey and Baby Brown, expected in May; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Traders Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel at a later date.

Barbara G. Holden, 64
DOVER - Barbara G. Holden of Dover died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 64.
Mrs. Holden was born Feb. 25, 1938, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Gunvald and Minnie (Scura) Olsen.
She worked as a bookkeeper at the Modern Maturity Center, Dover, until her recent illness caused an early retirement.
She enjoyed and loved animals, antiques, reading, arts and crafts.
Mrs. Holden was a member of AARP and the Modern Maturity Center, and was a contributor to the North Shore Animal League and the Kent County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, as well as other animal groups.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Holden, on Jan. 31, 2000.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and David Stokes of Shelby, N.C., and Deborah Nolette and Denise and Charles Coker, all of Dover; 10 grandchildren, Christi Coker, Tiffany Coker, Charles Coker III, John Gilbert Jr., David Nolette and Ryan Seeney, all of Dover, and Michael Handges, Jennifer Stokes, Andrew Stokes and Kimberly Stokes, all of Shelby; and two great-granddaughters.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Burial will be private in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
