Lorraine Gertrude Kline, 70
LEWES - Lorraine Gertrude Kline of Lewes, formerly of Southampton, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, in her home. She was 70.
Mrs. Kline was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Karl and Gertrude Kayser Bauer.
She was a secretary for the Hatboro Water Authority, Hatboro, Pa. for 10 years, retiring in 1994.
Mrs. Kline was a member of the Indian Mission United Methodist Church, Millsboro, the Wood Bee's of the Woods of Herring Creek, a former member of the Addisville Reformed Church in Richboro, Pa. and sang with the Cape Henlopen Senior Gospel Group.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Klaus D. "Nick" Klein; a son, James R. Klein of Arlington, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne J. and John Bruno of Halifam, Mass. and Monica L. and James Waeltz of Horsham, Pa; a brother, Carl G. Bauer of Philadelphia; a brother-in-law, Frank Wiegand of Bensalem, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah and Katie Bruno and David and Corinna Waeltz.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Cindy Quillen will officiate.
Burial will be priviate.

G. Russell Newcombe, 80
MILLSBORO - G. Russell Newcombe of Millsboro, formerly of Wilmington, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 80.
Mr. Newcombe was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a graduate of the University of Delaware in Wilmington and was president of the Kappa Alpha fraternity.
Mr. Newcombe was a public relations representative for General Motors in Wilmington before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Newcombe; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Russell Keblen; a sister and brother-in-law, Retta and Glen Benjamin; two grandsons, Sean and Art Keblen; and two great-grandsons, Austin and Hunter Keblen.
Services will be priviate.

Janet L. Parsons, 50
LAUREL - Janet L. Parsons of Laurel died peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, in her home. She was 50.
Mrs. Parsons was born in Seaford, daughter of Estella M. English and the late William T. Windsor II.
She was educated in the Wicomico County school system.
Her employment included working at General Refrigeration in Delmar for the past 14 years as an administrative assistant. The owners and employees of the company were like family to her and visited and encouraged her frequently during her illness. She held the position of secretary for RETA while she was employed at General Refrigeration.
Mrs. Parsons enjoyed helping with the Laurel High School band when her children were in high school. She also enjoyed reading, recipes, cooking, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joanna and Todd Adams of Seaford; a son, Roy Parsons of Laurel; two stepdaughters, Pamela Parsons of Laurel and Janet Wesselhoff of Milton; four grandchildren, Logan Hearn, Alex Adams, Sara Adams and Amanda Cordrey; two brothers, James Windsor and William Windsor III; two sisters, Wanda Windsor and Karen Bowden; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Monday in Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove St., Delmar, where friends may call one hour earlier. Pastor Brent Smith will officiate.

Frank Wilson Tucker, 88
SEAFORD - Frank Wilson Tucker of Seaford died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, in his home. He was 88.
Mr. Tucker was born Dec. 31, 1914 in Greenwood. Those who knew Frank, or as he was known by many, "Jim," remember him as a sentimental man full of life, which took great pleasure in his gardening and his family.
He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the Navy, he was a steward at the Town and Country Hotel in San Diego, the head of the penguin exhibit at the San Diego Zoo and was an electrical dispatcher for the Imperial County Irrigation District in El Centro, Calif.
At the time of his death, Frank was enjoying retirement and had the pleasure of visiting his children and grandchildren during the recent Christmas and New Year's holidays.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia, whom he married March 4, 1944; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randall and Denise Tucker and Keith Tucker; a daughter, Michelle Tucker; six grandchildren, Paul Tucker, Christine Griswald, Alexander Kimbrough, Channing Tucker, Chandler Tucker and Dylan Tucker.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Master Sgt. Warren G. Hapke, 71
DOVER - Master Sgt. Warren G. Hapke of Dover died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 71.
Master Sgt. Hapke was born July 5,1929, in Nebraska.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He worked as a Superintendent Aircraft Loadmaster for the U.S. Air Force until his retirement in 1977.
He enjoyed doing leatherwork.
Master Sgt. Hapke was a life member of the Walter L. Fox American Legion Post 2 of Dover.
He is survived by his wife, Fumi Hapke; two daughters, Gayle Scarpone of Wilmington and Linda Hapke of Abita Springs, La.; two brothers, three sisters, and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, where services will be performed at 8 p.m. by the Walter L. Fox American Legion Post 2.
Graveside service will be noon Friday in the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
Dorothy A. (Hansen) Bages, 82
DOVER - Dorothy A. (Hansen) Bages of Dover died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in her home. She was 82.
Mrs. Bages was born June 30, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Clarence and Mae (Ryan) Hansen.
She worked as an administrative assistant for Crane, Niles, Baxt, & Reich, M.D.'s, PA., in Florida until her retirement in 1980.
She enjoyed taking long walks around Dover, and loved meeting and talking to the people she met on her walks. She also enjoyed going to Silver Lake to feed the ducks.
Mr. Bages was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church, Wyoming,
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis X. Bages.
She is survived by a son, Brian J. Bages of Dover; two daughters, Marcia Motley of Dover and Carol Mahler of Miami, Fla.; three grandchildren, Erin C. and Douglas A. Motley, and Ashley E. Bages, all of Dover.
Memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 112 Broad St., Wyoming.

Barry O. Ford, 38
HENDERSON, Md. - Barry O. Ford of Henderson died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in Kent Queen Annes Hospital Easton. He was 38.
Mr. Ford was born July 14, 1962, in Anchorage, Alaska.
He worked at Alpine Construction and was very gifted with his hands.
Mr. Ford enjoyed building picnic tables, garages and homes. He lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed boating, crabbing, fishing, four wheelers and hanging with friends.
He is survived his father and stepmother, Oliver F. and Anna Ford of Sudlerville; his mother and stepfather, Carole J. and Kenny Allaband of Camden/Wyoming; long time companion, Susan Hickman of Henderson; two sons, Barry Hickman of Camden/Wyoming, and Steven Hickman of Henderson; two daughters, Patricia Hickman and Christina Hickman, both of Henderson; four brothers, Dale Ford of Worton, Matt Ford of Still Pond, Andy Ford of Boston, Mass., and Steven Ford of Sudlerville; four sister, Donna Montie of Felton, Barbara Austin of Camden/Wyoming, Tresa Ford and Sandy Ford, both of Sudlerville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Remembrance service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del., where friends may call one hour prior to the time service The Rev. Jim Welch will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery Sandtown, Del

Ilean King, 74
VENTON, Md. - Ilean King of Venton died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Manokin Manor Nursing Home, Princess Anne. She was 74.
Mrs. King was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Venton, the daughter of the late Moody and Florence Jones.
She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church in Venton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. King.
She is survived by two sisters, Hattie and Ruth Jones of Princess Anne; five brothers, Wilson and Elwood Jones of Princess Anne, Jesse Jones of Oriole, Moody Jones of Baltimore and Henry Jones of Waldorf; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Worship Center in Venton.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Worship Center.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
