Linford P. Rust, 84
FRANKFORD - Linford P. Rust of Frankford died Friday, March 7, 2003, in his home. He was 84.
Mr. Rust was born in Millsboro, son of the late Alfred Rust and Lovey Jane Hickman Rust.
He was a retired employee of the State of Delaware., having worked for Sussex Central Middle School and the Highway Department in Dagsboro.
In his retirement years he spent his time with his grandchildren and working in his garden and helping anyone in need.
Mr. Rust was an honorary member of the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty M. Lewis and Sandra Rust.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margie; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris R. and Larry W. Mitchell III; two grandsons, Barry A. Mitchell and William E. Townsend and his wife, Maria; a granddaughter, Crystal L. Hudson and her husband, Timothy; and five great-grandchildren, Tina and Becky Townsend, Jonathan Hudson and Megan and Dustin Mitchell.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Frankford chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Frankford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in the Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.
George Redeker Winner, 84
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - George Redeker Winner of Chestertown died Thursday, March 6, 2003, in Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital in Chestertown. He was 84.
Mr. Winner was born May 4, 1918 in Clayton, N.J., son of the late Paul and Anna Bower Winner.
He served his country from 1941 through 1945 in the United States Navy.
He was employed by the Catalytic Construction Company where he worked as a manager for many years.
Mr. Winner loved gardening. He loved his dog Bear. He also enjoyed his koi fishpond.
He is survived by his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Winner of Chestertown; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth T. and Howard R. Morgan of Wayne, Pa.; three grandchildren, Anna M. Cassidy and her husband, Todd M. of Haverton, Pa., H. Randall Jr. and his wife, Lynn Morgan of Potomac, and Carl G. and his wife Kathy Morgan of Annapolis; and four great-grandchildren, Natalie and Daniel Morgan of Potomac and Georgia and Justin Morgan of Annapolis.
Services will be held at a later date.

Master Sgt. Darrell Donyel Aldridge, 39
CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Master Sgt. Darrell Donyel Aldridge of Cambridge died Friday, March 2, 2001, in Cambridge. He was 39.
Master Sgt. Aldridge was born April 15, 1961, in Cambridge, the son of Clayton and the late Angeline Aldridge.
He graduated from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School in 1979. He then attended aviation school in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1982.
Master Sgt. Aldridge then joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving for 19 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Lauren Aldridge of Fort Washington; two sisters, Tanna Cornish and Shanel Chester of Cambridge; four brothers, James D. Chester of Bowie, Terry Aldridge and Gregory Aldridge, both of Rhodesdale, and Byron Chester of Washington, D.C.; a brother-in-law, Montro Cornish of Cambridge; a sister-in-law, Sharon Chester of Bowie; four aunts; an uncle; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Cambridge.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Lillian Elizabeth Cook, 92
FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Lillian Elizabeth Shultie Cook of Federalsburg died Friday, March 9, 2001, in Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge. She was 92.
Mrs. Cook was born March 7, 1909, in Hollandsville, Del., the daughter of the late Philip and Carrie E. Mitchell Shultie.
She was a seamstress and had served as a Civil Defense airplane spotter during World War II.
Mrs. Cook was a member of Friendship Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cook, April 2, 1997; a son, Philip Bruce Wilson; two brothers, Elwood and Fred Shultie; and a sister, Pearl Baker.
She is survived by a son, Charles N. Cook of Hurlock; two daughters, Lois C. Faulkner of Bridgeville, Del., and Doris Murphy of Seaford, Del.; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P. A., in Federalsburg, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Denzil Cheek will officiate.
Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg.

Beverly Ann Grose Klair Gingras, 54
WILMINGTON - Beverly Ann Grose Klair Gingras of Wilmington died of heart failure Wednesday, March 7, 2001, in her home. She was 54.
Mrs. Gingras was a former employee of the News Journal Co., a seamstress and a homemaker.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Chester W. Gingras Jr.; four sons, Robert H. Klair of Glasgow, Richard J. Klair of Newark, Raymond M. Klair of Glasgow and Gordon L. Gingras of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two daughters, Helen M. Moore of New Castle and Elaina E. Gingras of Beaufort, S.C.; three sisters, Sandra L. O'Neall of Bear, Edna Grose of Lower Delaware and Doris Grose of New Castle; a brother, David M. Grose of Bellfonte; two daughter-in-laws, Marcia and Corrina Klair; six grandsons, Mattew, Jarret, Cameron, John, Kristopher, and Timothy; five granddaughters, Brittney, Kristen, Brooke, Jennifer, and Brianna; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Delaware Hospice.

Florence V. Jester, 69
MIDDLETOWN - Florence V. Jester of Middletown died Thursday, March 8, 2001, in Union Hospital, Elkton, Md. She was 69.
Mrs. Jester was a homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her seven grandchildren. She was also an avid card player and enjoyed traveling.
Mrs. Jester was a founding member of the Thursday Night Bridge Club in the M.O.T. area, a member of the St. George's 500 Club, the Forest Presbyterian Church in Middltown, and President of the New Century Club in Middletown.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence B. Jester; three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah J. and Richard Whittington of Odessa, Rebecca J. and Charles Roberts Jr. and Florence J. and Michael Kitts all of Middletown; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence E. and Patricia Jester of Middletown; three brothers, Guy C. Lockerman Jr. of Townsend, Willard Lockerman and Paul Lockerman both of Middletown; two sisters, Ellen Sahadi of Toledo, Ohio and Katherine Wolinski of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Kathleen and Brett Roberts, Lisa and Sara Jester, Richard G. Whittington and Michael and Todd Kitts.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Price Hall 115 Cleaver Farm Road, Middletown
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Price Hall.
Burial will be in Old St. Anne's Cemetery, Middletown.

Miles F. Kjos, 73
SEAFORD - Miles F. Kjos of Seaford died of heart failure Thursday, March 8, 2001, in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md. He was 73.
Mr. Kjos was born in St. Cloud, Minn., the son of the late Alfred and Minnie Kjos.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
Mr. Kjos retired from Tull Brothers Hardware Store in Seaford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Kjos, in 1986.
He is survived by two sons, Michael D. Kjos of Seaford and Andrew S. Kjos of British Columbia, Canada; two sisters, Lois Trebtoski of St. Cloud and Betty Orth of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Lauren, Jeremy and Aaron Kjos.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at The Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St. in Seaford, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
Leona Ann 'Lee' (Hackney) Kos, 58
MIDDLETOWN - Leona Ann "Lee" (Hackney) Kos of Middletown died Thursday, March 8, 2001, in Union Hospital, Elkton, Md. She was 58.
Mrs. Lee enjoyed working with her beloved husband with their joint business. She touched many people with her kind heart, cheerful personality and has always put everyone else ahead of herself.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard J. Kos; her mother Leona Hackney; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Harry Vincent, Debra and Michael Bauers, Tammi and Michael George; a sister, Bette Riberdy; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Kos and Peter Riberdy; a special friend, Liesa Schuler; and six grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 8 p.m. Monday at Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
