Harold 'Dean' Worley, 63
LONG NECK - Harold "Dean" Worley of Long Neck, formerly of Wilmington, died of asbestosis Tuesday, March 11, 2003, in his home. He was 63.
Mr. Worley was born in Whitwell, Tenn., son of the late Henry C. and Ada E. VanHouser Worley.
He did heating and air-conditioning work for Shellhorn and Hill, Wilmington, for 25 years, retiring in 1988 due to disability.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Charlotte Smulski Sulecki Worley; a son, Patrick Worley of Millsboro; four daughters, Susan Krouse of York, Pa., and Donna Simpson, Kimberly Ingram and Michelle Blue, all of Wilmington; three stepsons, Fred Sulecki of Bear, Michael Sulecki of Newark and Brian Sulecki of Millsboro; a brother, Kenneth Worley of Newark; a sister, Marie Riley of Smyrna; and 16 grandchildren. He was expecting his first great-grandson in April.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
Helen Tush Austin, 86
TOWNSEND - Helen Tush Austin of Townsend died Monday, March 12, 2001, in Chestertown Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was 86.
Mrs. Austin was a homemaker, living in the Townsend-Middletown area most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. Austin, in 1987; and a grandson.
She is survived by a son, Jerome Austin of Townsend; a daughter, June Harris of Palm Desert, Calif.; a brother, Grover C. Tush Jr. of Middletown; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Daniels & Hutchinson Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call one prior to the service.
Burial will be in Odd Follows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Julia 'Judy' Ann Cardwell, 59
CLAYTON - Julia "Judy" Ann Cardwell of Clayton died Monday, March 12, 2001, in her home. She was 59.
Mrs. Cardwell was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Catherine G. Kay Fife of Clayton and the late Lawrence Fife.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lawrence Cardwell of Clayton; and two sons, Kevin Cardwell, and his wife, Colleen, of Clearwater, Fla., and Kerry Cardwell, and his fiance, Shelly Wolanski, of Bear.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.
Burial will be private.
Margaret Wheatley Elliott, 85
SEAFORD - Margaret Wheatley Elliott of Seaford died of heart failure Monday, March 12, 2001, in Seaford Center Genesis Elder Care, Seaford. She was 85.
Ms. Elliott was a customer service representative for the Bank of Delaware, retiring in 1976 after 40 years of service.
She was a member of St John's United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service at the church, Ki-Wives of the Kiwanis Club of Seaford, a member of Nanticoke Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, a charter member of Seaford Alumni Association, and class valedictorian of the class of 1933, Seaford High. She was also a life member of Seaford Soroptomist Club and a member of the National Association of Bank Women, where she served as secretary for the National Organization born in Hebron, Md.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Jaggard and Lola Howard Phillips Wheatley; her husband, Edward B. Elliott, in 1986; and two brothers, O. Franklin Wheatley in 1988 and Irvin R. Wheatley in 1999.
She is survived by two nephews, Phillips H. Wheatley of Seaford and Michael L. Wheatley; two nieces, Susan Margaret Sowers of Charles Town, W.Va., and Jennifer A. Beard of Sterling, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Patricia S. Wheatley of Seaford.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. John's United Methodist Church, Pine and Poplar Streets, Seaford, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. David Humphrey and the Rev. Kari R. Jones will be officiate.
Burial will be private.

Raymond S. Goslee, 94
NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. - Raymond S. Goslee of North Palm Beach died Friday, March 2, 2001.
Mr. Goslee was born in 1906, in Philadelphia, the son of the late Clementine Katherine "Teenie Kate" Short Goslee and Captain Walter Scott "Jake" Goslee.
He lived most of his life in Delaware and Florida and had been a resident of North Palm Beach for the last 26 years.
He earned bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and the Wharton School of Business.
Mr. Goslee was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa.
Along with a college friend, he started the radio station in Philadelphia that became the beginning of the CBS broadcasting network.
He was the assistant chief engineer for the renovation and additions to Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and was assistant chief engineer for the Roebling Corp. for the construction and engineering of the Golden Gate Bridge.
During World War II, he served his country as an engineering consultant to the U.S. Navy Department. After the war, he and his wife, Anna, moved to Millsboro, where they owned Goslee Ford.
An active civic leader, he was a member and past president of the Rotarians, member of Masonic Blue Lodge 2, Lulu Temple Shrine, director of Home Savings Bank, member of the school board and vestry of St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Millsboro.
Mr. Goslee was quite involved with the Republican Party both locally and nationally, ultimately serving as advisor to Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard M. Nixon.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends whose lives he touched.
He is survived and cherished by his wife of 62 years, Anna Dodd; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charles Cassidy Of Tequesta; and his grandchildren, Catherine Anne Cassidy of Tequesta and W. Scott Arnold of Jupiter.
Memorial service in his honor will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Millsboro.
Burial will follow in Mariner's Bethel Church Cemetery in Ocean View.
Reginald 'Reggie' Levon Hannah, 39
DOVER - Reginald "Reggie" Levon Hannah died Friday, March 9, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Medical Center, Dover. He was 39.
Mr. Hannah was born Jan. 18, 1962, in Polatka, Fla., the son of Willie Hannah of Belle Glade, Fla., and Mozell Hannah of Dover.
He received his G.E.D. in Dover and was very skilled in many different trades.
Mr. Hannah was a member of the Bibleway Temple C.O.G.I.C.
He is survived by three sons, Reginald Jr., Zachary and Montel, all of Delaware; two daughters, Latoya and Keyana, both of Delaware; a sister, Carolyn, and her husband, Minister Curtis Watson of Dover; two brothers, Willie Hannah of Dover and Karl Hannah of Smyrna; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bibleway Temple Church of God in Christ in Dover, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Dover.

Charles Katzer, 87
DOVER - Charles Katzer of Dover died Sunday, March 11, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. He was 87.
Mr. Katzer was born April 12, 1913, in Philadelphia, the son of the late Stevan and Juliana Cerasz Katzer.
He attended schools in Smyrna and Hartly, graduating from John Bassett Moore High School in Smyrna.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1931, serving as a major in the U.S. Army during World War II, in Africa and Italy in the 360th Battery B of the 5th Army. He served in Japan during the Korean War and retired as a captain in the U.S. Air Force in 1961 with 30 years of active service. He received the Bronze Star medal during service in World War II.
Mr. Katzer enjoyed building grandfather clocks, oil painting and flower gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Schueler; and a brother, Steven Snyder.
He is survived by his wife, Anne H. Katzer of Dover; a daughter, Karen Lynn Callender of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, David L. Katzer of Rural Hall, N.C.; two sisters, Anne Schneider of Buena Vista, Calif., and Martha Morgan of Lewes; his granddaughter, Britt Green; four grandsons, Wilburn D. Callender III, Trent Callender, Alan T. Katzer and Douglas Katzer; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah Green and Alexis Samples.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 South Bradford St. in Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Dorothy A. Lowenthal, 87
CLARKSVILLE - Dorothy A. Lowenthal of Clarksville died Sunday, March 11, 2001, in the Dagsboro home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anne Nuthall-Armbrust and Earl Armbrust. She was 87.
Mrs. Lowenthal was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Bethany Beach, the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie K. Natter.
She was known for bringing song, piano music and joy to the boardwalk.
In the late 1960s through the 80s, she taught music, art and other subjects at various schools throughout the Indian River District and tutored children in their homes. She helped others with a smile, a word of encouragement and lesson or two.
Mrs. Lowenthal traveled to various parts of the world; and through the years walked in, outside and around the perimeter of God's Kingdom. In January, she decided that she wanted to be as sure about the way to heaven as she was about the way to places she enjoyed like the local thrift shop or deli. So in the presence of family and friends she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, being then clothed with the imperishable blood of Jesus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul J. Natter; her former husbands, Charles W. Nuthall and James Lowenthal, a founder of the Mason-Dixon VFW Lodge at Quillen's Point, Ocean View.
Service will be noon Saturday at the Mariner's Bethel Methodist Church, Ocean View.
She will be buried by the side of her parents, in Mariner's Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, Ocean View.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Learning Assistance Plan that will enable children of needy families to attend the Lighthouse Christian School, c/o Dagsboro Church of God, RD 1, Box 160, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
