Robert M. Johnson, 84
LEWES - Robert M. Johnson of Lewes died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Lewes Convalescent Center, Lewes. He was 84.
Mr. Johnson was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., son of the late Andrew and Selma (Anderson) Johnson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Johnson was employed as an administrative supervisor for the DuPont Co. in New York City, Perth Amboy and Wilmington. He was employed by DuPont from 1938 to 1978.
He enjoyed woodworking and boating.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes, and was a former member of the American Legion and the Elks in New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Whitman Johnson; four children, Kenneth Johnson of Cranbury, N.J., Donald Johnson of Vista, Calif., Susan Johnson of Lewes and Robert Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Mildred Jensen of Edison, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Parnell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call a half-hour earlier. The Rev. David Palmer will officiate.
Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery South, near Millsboro.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Red Cross, 1973 Bay Road, Milford, DE 19963; or to the Salvation Army, 525 N. Front St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
John E. Lawrence, 68
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - John E. Lawrence of St. Augustine, formerly of Dover, Del., died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in his home. He was 68.
Mr. Lawrence was born May 20, 1934 in Boston.
He entered the U.S. Army at the age of 18, serving for 26 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean wars.
After retiring from the Army, he became a correction officer in Florida, and later relocated to St. Augustine to take a position as a deputy sheriff for St. John's County.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Louise Lawrence; five daughters and five sons-in-law, Anne and Richard Donahue of Camden, Del., Janet and Edward Tyczkowski of Newark, Del., Denise and Richard Paul of Fort Myers, Sharon and Jimmy Trainor of New Egypt, N.J., and Brenda and Matthew Grothe of Lakeland; a son and daughter-in-law, John Lawrence Jr. and Robin Lawrence of Camden; 14 grandchildren, Richard Donahue, Amanda Tyczkowski, Matthew Donahue, Jamie Lawrence, Wayne Tollefson, Richard Paul II, Edward Tyczkowski, Matthew Grothe Jr., Ryan Lawrence, Megan Paul, Christopher Grothe, David Grothe, Steven Tollefson and Samantha Trainor; a sister, Joan Conners; and two brothers, Raymond and Robert.
Mass services were held in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will be 9 a.m. Friday in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
Memorial services will be held prior to the burial at the Fort Myers Chapel, located at Arlington National Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.

Julia Annabelle Little, 88
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Julia Annabelle Little of Woodbridge, formerly of Lewes, Del., died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Ruxton Health Facility, Woodbridge. She was 88.
Mrs. Little was born in York, Pa., daughter of the late James H. Tarman and Mary Jane Young Tarman.
She was formerly a member of St. Edmond's Catholic Church, Rehoboth Beach, the Cape Henlopen Senior Center, Beebe Hospital Auxiliary, the Lewes Senior Center and the Ladies of the Elks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael. P. Little, in 1997.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hubbell of San Antonio, Texas and Jane Little of Arlington, Va.; a son, William M. Little of Woodbridge.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be private in Quantico Memorial Park in Quantico.

Benjamin C. Rose, 83
SMYRNA - Benjamin C. Rose of Smyrna died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 83.
Mr. Rose was born June 25, 1919, in Smyrna, son of the late Orlando and Harriet Green Rose.
He worked as a tractor-trailer driver for Shellhorn and Hill Oil Co. for more than 30 years, and later, for Creative Flooring in Smyrna.
He also was an avid coin collector and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
Mr. Rose was a member of Teamsters Union Local 326.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Carmine Rose; two sons, Benjamin Rose Jr. and George Rose, both of Smyrna; three daughters, Doris Buckingham and Mary Hilte, both of Wilmington, and Patricia Rose of Clayton; a sister, Mary Manelski of Smyrna; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Nicholas Suchko Sr., 84
DOVER - Nicholas Suchko Sr. of Dover died Friday, March 14, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 84.
Mr. Suchko was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Smithdale, Pa., son of Michael and Anna (Petrulyak) Suchko.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1940 and served in World War II with the HQ, 56th Fighter Group. He was discharged in 1945.
Mr. Suchko retired from a civil service position at Dover Air Force Base after 27 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael Suchko, George Suchko, Charles Suchko and Paul Suchko; a sister, Ann Mamrak; and a grandson, Nicholas Ryan Suchko.
He is survived by his former wife, Hazel Suchko of Dover; three daughters, Andrea Price of Milford, Janice Hobbs of Wyoming and Susan Plucenik of Dover; a son, Nicholas Suchko Jr. of Dover; a sister, Mary Coccagna of Lowber, Pa.; two brothers, John Suchko of Elizabeth, Pa., and Andrew Suchko of Belle Vernon, Pa. five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, Md.
Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery south, near Millsboro.
Grace Meluney Trivits, 84
SEAFORD - Grace Meluney Trivits of Seaford died of heart failure Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. She was 84.
Mrs. Trivits was born in Hickman, Md., daughter of the late William E. and Effie Johnson Meluney.
She was a homemaker, and previously had worked in the cafeteria in the Seaford School Disrict for nine years.
She will be remembered as a dedicated full-time housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Trivits was a member of Cannon United Methodist Church, Cannon, near Seaford, and a 45-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Trivits, in 1999; and a son, Lewis C. Trivits, in 1987.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Trivits Milligan of Seaford; a brother, Francis Meluney of Dover; three sisters, Hester White of Seaford, Mary Swetland of Camden and Helen Russell of Federalsburg, Md.; five grandchildren, Scott Milligan of St. Michaels, Md., Traci Milligan and Steve Trivits, both of Seaford, Danny Trivits of Chicago and Keith Trivits of the U.S. Navy, currently stationed in Yokosuka, Japan; two great-grandchildren, Bradley Milligan and Kaitlyn Milligan, both of St. Michaels; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Steve Hill will officiate.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.

Elaine M. Weidner, 53
FELTON - Elaine M. Weidner of Felton, formerly of Temple, Pa. died Friday, March, 14, 2003, Reading Medical Center, West Reading, Pa. She was 53.
Mrs. Weidner was born in Reading was born in Reading, daughter of the late Norman J. Mildred E. Packard Rothermel.
She worked at Playtex Apparel Inc.
Mrs. Weidner attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Spring Township, Pa.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Chad A. Weidner.
She is survived by her husband, Craig A. Weidner; three daughters, Pamela M. Kohl of Spring Township, Pa., Patricia M. LaManna of West Lawn, Pa. and Audree L. Mooney of Exeter Township, Pa.; a son, Todd M. Franco of Alsace Township, Pa.; two sisters, Carol A. Shomo of Sinking Spring, Pa. and Gloria J. Glass of Muhlenberg Township, Pa.; eight grandchildren; five nieces; and a nephew.
Services will be 8 p.m. Monday in Auman Funeral Home, Reiffton, Pa., where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton, Pa.
