Gregory Phillip Love, 26
GEORGETOWN - Gregory Phillip Love of Georgetown was pronounced dead Wednesday, March 19, 2003, near Felton. The cause of death is under investigation by the State Medical Examiner's Office. He was 26.
Mr. Love graduated from Milford High School with the class of 1994. He attended Delaware Technical and Community College, Georgetown Campus, for two years.
His love of baseball kept him involved in the sport for six years, starting with the Milford Little League and progressing to the Senior League team.
Mr. Love also participated in a Christian organization called Young Life.
He is survived by his father, Gregory Love of New Castle; his mother and stepfather, Helen Lynn and Larry Hills of Milford; a brother, Adam R. Love of Maryland; a half-sister, Rachel M. Hills of Milford; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Jean Bradley, and paternal grandparents, Alfred and Catherine Love, all of Milford; and several aunts and uncles.
Services and burial will be private.
Arrangements by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.

Helene V. Street, 69
BRIDGEVILLE - Helene Virginia Street of Bridgeville died, after a long battle with cancer, Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Satellite Beach, Fla. She was 69.
Mrs. Street was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Charleston, S.C., daughter of the late Gordon W. and Luella Heape Johnson.
She was the owner and operator of Street's Produce Market in Bridgeville for 21 years.
Mrs. Street attended Eagle's Nest Church in Bridgeville. She and her late husband accepted the great commission to witness to everyone every day. They knew and shared God's unconditional love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Street Sr., Aug. 14, 1995.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, John C. Street Jr. and Debbie Street and Paris V. and Elisha Street, all of Bridgeville; three grandchildren, Michael Street, Daniel Street and Megan Street, all of Bridgeville; a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Jessie Johnson of Florida; two sisters, Anita Bieske and Laura Hammac, both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Eagle's Nest Fellowship Church on Sussex Highway (U.S. 13) in Bridgeville.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church. The Rev. Rick Betts will officiate.
Burial will be in Bridgeville Cemetery in Bridgeville.

Lenda F. Carmean, 52
MILLSBORO - Lenda F. Carmean of Millsboro died Friday, March 23, 2001, in her home in Pot Nets, Millsboro, She was 52.
Mrs. Carmean had most recently worked as a pharmacy technician at the Happy Harry's store in Long Neck.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Carmean of Millsboro; a son, Joseph S. Masarik of Newport; two daughters, Shelly Lewandowski of Newark and Laura Masarik of Long Neck; three sisters, Caroline Sue Adkins of Bear, Patricia Blevins of Wilmington, and Mary Lee Trizzi of Coatsville, Pa.; two brothers, Robert Sexton of Calif. and Martin Sexton of North Carolina and two grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes. The Rev. Charlie Arnold will be officiating.

Col. John W. 'Jack' Cassell Sr., 80
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Col. John W. "Jack" Cassell Sr. of Virginia Beach died from complications from a stroke, Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Sentara Nursing Home, Virginia Beach. He was 80.
Col. Cassell was born in Philadelphia, the son of the late William and Nettie Cassell.
He was raised in Seaford and graduated from Seaford High School. He attended the University of Delaware and obtained his masters degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Yale University.
Col. Cassell served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He received the distinguished Flying Cross, was twice awarded the Bronze Star, the Air Medal with the 19th Oak Leaf Cluster and "V" Device, the Legion of Merit and the Army Commendation Medal with the 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster. He retired from the Army at Fort Monroe, Va., with the rank of Colonial.
After retiring from the Army, he worked for Taylor's Home Centers as a lead buyer.
He was a member of Scott Memorial Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, and various military organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Wheatley Cassell; four sons, John W. Cassell Jr. and his wife, Martha, Charles L. Cassell and his wife, Beth, Gary Booth and his wife, Trisha, and James Booth; two daughters, Cathy Murray and her husband, Richard and Susan Doss; 12 grandchildren, William, Frances, Elizabeth, Catherine, Taylor, William, Billy, Jamey, Jordan, Andy, Brian, and Amy.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Scott Memorial Methodist Church, 409 First Colonial Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454 or to Veterans House Inc., P.O. Box 1320, Chesapeake, VA 23325.

Joan R. Courtney, 58
CAMDEN/WYOMING - Joan R. Courtney of Camden/Wyoming died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Bayhealth- Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 58.
Mrs. Courtney was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Dover, the daughter of Dorothy Iona Bryant Brown and the late Francis "Boss" Brown.
She was a Caesar Rodney High School graduate of 1960.
Mrs. Courtney was with the state of Delaware Department of Motor Vehicle in the driver improvement department for 26 years. She also drove a school bus for Dawson's Bus Service for nine years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Wesley "Jack" Courtney of Camden/Wyoming; a son, Bruce Wayne Courtney of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Terri Jo Courtney-Sandstrom of Camden/Wyoming; four grandchildren, Courtney Jo Rollins of Camden/Wyoming, and Wesley Alan Courtney, Daniel Austin Courtney, and Brandon Wayne Courtney, all of San Diego; and two sisters, Roxie Twilley and Ruby Twilley, both of Camden/Wyoming.
Remembrance service will be 1 p.m. today at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Bayhealth Foundation, c/o Kent General Hospital of Dover, 640 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901.

John Thomas Cox, 74
DOVER - John Thomas Cox of Dover died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover after a short illness. He was 74.
Mr. Cox was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Kent County, Md., the son of the late John T, and Frances Parker Cox.
He had served his country in the U.S. Army for two years.
Mr. Cox was a self-employed painter and had worked for many years at Bailey's Texaco Station in Dover.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and crabbing. He was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Cecil Cox on May 1, 1995 and a daughter Darlene Helen William on July 14, 1995.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas "Butch" Cox of Camden, Joseph Allen Cox of Dover, and John T. Cox Jr. of Dover, a sister, Rachel Westbrook of Greenville, N.C., 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Service will be noon Monday at the Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of Delaware, 1021 Gilpin Ave., Suite 202, Wilmington, DE 19806.

Robert J. Czar, 72
LEWES - Robert J. Czar of Lewes died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in his home. He was 72.
Mr. Czar was born in Bethlehem, Va., the son of the late Ivan and Therezia Pintar Czar.
He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a crane operator for over 43 years.
Mr. Czar had been a member of the Dewey Fire Department and the American Legion Post 397, both in Hellertown, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Helen McGuire Czar of Lewes; a daughter, Ann Marie Brown of Macungie, Pa.; two sons, John C. Czar and James C. Czar both of Bethlehem, Pa.; a step-son, Michael J. Campanella of Bethlehem, Pa.; a step-daughter, Janice Campanella of Hellertown; three grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with private burial in Hellertown.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Delaware Hospice, Southern Division, 600 N. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.

Mary L. Diamond, 87
FREDERICA - Mary L. Diamond of Frederica died Thursday March 22, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 87.
Mrs. Diamond was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Benaya, N.C., the daughter of the late George and Irene (Beville) Ellison.
She retired from the Family Dollar Store as a sales clerk.
Mrs. Diamond was a life member of the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, past president, secretary and treasure of the Camden/Wyoming Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge.
She was proceeded in death by a son, Adger Maw Jr. in 1999.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George A. Diamond of Frederica; a daughter, Connie and her husband, William Haneline of Harrington; a brother, Gene Ellison of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Donna and Ken Barnett and Billy Haneline; three great-grandchildren, Tonya Graham, Michael Graham, and Christopher Haneline; a great-great-grandchild, Austin Graham; and a nephew, Don and his wife, Laura Howard of South Carolina.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St. in Dover.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department, Ambulance Fund, Main St., Magnolia, DE 19962.

Janice Callaway Dulin, 68
FELTON - Janice Callaway Dulin of Felton died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. She was 68.
Mrs. Dulin was born in Harrington, the daughter of the late Loarn V. and Mary Mildred Hanson Callaway.
She was a homemaker.
She moved from Harrington to Hurlock, Md. with her husband, where they owned and operated Hubbard's Men's Store for 3 years before closing the store and moving to Orlando, Fla., where they lived for 20 years. While in Florida, she managed a beauty supply house for years before retiring after the death of her husband.
Mrs. Dulin moved back to Felton to live with her sister, Sharon Mills, living there for the last 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lee Dulin, in 1992; three brothers, Allen V. Callaway, Jim Callaway and Gooden Callaway; and two sisters, Harriet O'Neil and Sharon C. Mills, who died March 14, 2001.
She is survived by a brother, C. Pete Callaway of New Braunfels, Texas; a sister, Adel C. Weir of Wildwood, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be held private and at the convenience of the family.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Callaway, Kemp, Raughley, and Tee American Legion Post 7, 16680 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, DE 19952.
