LeFurgey, Russell Cameron –– Houston. Died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at age 68, at his home. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant, after serving 30 years. He worked with the Elizabeth W. Murphey School in Dover as a food provider. Survived by his wife of 26 years, Brenda J. LeFurgey. Services will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 5, in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.

Mood, Donald F. Jr. –– Smyrna. Died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at age 50, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was a driver for David C. Harrison Post 14 American Legion ambulance service. Locally survived by a daughter, Christy Mood of Dover. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in St. Polycarp Roman Catholic Church, 135 Ransom Lane, Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Community Service Building, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.

Moser, Anne Elizabeth Elliott –– Salisbury, Md. Died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at age 73, in Wicomico Nursing Home, Salisbury. She retired from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Education after 30 years of service. She also was a Mary Kay beauty consultant for 20 years. Survived by her husband, LaMar R. Moser, and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and C. Edward Palmer of Dover.

Noble, Harriet M. –– Milford. Died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at age 65, in her daughter’s home. She was a dedicated employee at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital for 17 years. Locally survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Joe Malago Jr., of Dover. Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary, Carlisle Fire Co., P.O. Box 131, Milford, DE 19963.

Phillips, Margaret D. –– Georgetown. Died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at age 64, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She worked at Perdue Inc. in Georgetown, retiring in the early 1990s. Survived by her husband of 38 years, Bishop Jerry Phillips. Locally survived by a son, Jeron Phillips of Dover; a brother, Douglas Foreman of Dover; and a sister, June Foreman of Dover. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, Georgetown.

Russell, Joseph ‘Doc’ Jr. –– Clayton. Died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at age 89, in Westminster Village Health Center in Dover. He was a truck driver for 40 years. Survived by his wife, Mary Belle Russell. Locally survived by a son, James Russell of Dover. Burial was in Lockwood Cemetery, Hartly.

Schaefer, Clara B. –– Lincoln. Died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at age 91, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Frederica. Locally survived by a son, Charles Dennis of Dover.

Strusowski, Betty J. Marchello –– Wilmington. Died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at age 71, in her home. Survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Strusowski. Locally survived by her mother, Eleanor Marchello of Hartly. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in St. Anthony’s Church, 9th and DuPont streets, where friends and family may call at 9 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions in her name to St. Anthony in the Hills, c/o the Rev. Roberto Balducelli, Route 7, Hockessin, DE 19707.

Ware, Harry Thomas Jr. –– Millsboro. Died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at age 88, in the Milford Center. He was a manager at Allied Kid in Wilmington, retiring in 1972 after 47 years. He enjoyed traveling, his retirement in Sussex County and his family and friends. Survived by his wife of 20 years, Betty Cordrey Ware. Locally survived by a stepdaughter, Carol Timbs of Dover. Burial was in the Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro.

Young, Clarence Edward Sr. –– Milford. Died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at age 73, in his home. He was established Young’s Funeral Home in Milton, Seaford and Milford. Survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Dorothy Frances Bacon. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milford.

Cash, William Littleton – Bostic, N.C. Died at age 77 Monday, June 13, 2005, in Rutherfordton, N.C. Survived by his wife, Barbara Bach Cash. Survived locally by a son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Betty Cash of Dover.

Hutson, John Franklin – Greensboro, Md. Died at age 65 Tuesday, June 14, 2005, in Easton. Locally survived by a son, John Hutson Jr., and a sister, Shirley Moore of Woodside. Interment was private.

Hutson, Joseph – Goldsboro, Md. Died at age 94 Sunday, June 19, 2005, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. Survived by his wife, Barbra. Locally survived by his stepsons, Albert “Skeeter” Smith of Felton and Daniel Wilhelm of Wyoming. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call beginning one hour earlier. Interment will be in the Greensboro Cemetery.

Adams, Grace Smith – Harrington. Died at age 88, Sunday, March 6, 2005, in Milford. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. Arrangements were by the Price Funeral Home, Harrington.

Black, Clarence ‘Blackie’ – Harrington. Died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at age 89, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. Survived locally by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Linda Black; and two daughters, Doris Calhoun and Virginia Maloney. Interment was in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

Capodanno, Adolpha E. – Rehoboth Beach. Died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at age 94, in Lewes. Survived locally by a son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Audrey Capodanno, of Dover. Interment was in St. Josephs on the Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington.

Cunningham, Donald R. ‘Bobby’ Jr. – Clayton. Died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Saturday, March 5, 2005, at age 23, in Christiana Hospital. Survived by his parents, Donald R. Cunningham Sr. and Nancy Hazlett Dunn of Clayton. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery.

Dickerson, John Russell ‘Jack’ – Milford. Died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at age 58, in his home. Survived locally by a sister, Joann D. Everett of Wyoming. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in McKnatt Funeral Home, Harrington, where friends may call one hour earlier. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Salvation Army, 117 E. Front St., Milford, DE 19963.

Gray, Dorothy Smith – Smyrna. Died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at age 74, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. Survived by her husband of 52 years, Andrew F. Gray. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in Ewell’s St. Paul United Methodist Church, Clayton. Interment will be private.

Green, Ralph Edward ‘Buddy’ Jr. – Annapolis, Md. Died Friday, March 4, 2005, at age 40, in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. Survived locally by his mother, Linda J. Green of Dover; and a grandmother, Edna E. Spages of Dover. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Jewell, Harry Lee – Harrington. Died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at age 64, in his home. Survived by his mother, Mary B. Conley of Harrington. Locally survived by a brother, Paul Jewell of Camden.

Keller, Mary Emma – Smithfield, N.C., formerly of Milford. Died Saturday, March 5, 2005, in Smithfield Manor, N.C. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, near Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 North Church Street, Milford, DE 19963.
