Ennis, Helen Pawn Clayton. Died at age 95 Sunday, May 4, 2008, at home. Interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
Everett, Margaret S. Clayton. Died at age 86, Monday, April 28, 2008, at her home with family. Locally survived by a brother, Harry Scotton of Felton. Interment was in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, west of Dover.
Heverin, Virginia Smyrna. Died at age 78, Tuesday April 29, 2008. Interment was in Old Union Cemetery, Townsend.
LaVere, Robert Milford. Died at age 76, Monday, April 28, 2008, in Delaware Veterans Home in Milford. Interment was in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
Twardus, Frances Teresa Buchanan Milford. Died at age 87 Sunday, May 4, 2008, at home. Locally survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Pat Twardus of Felton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Friday in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Seabury Avenue and School Place, Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford
Weaver, David C. Harrington. Died at age 72, Saturday, May 3, 2008. Locally survived by two daughters and their husbands, Deborah J. and Francis Buswell and Beverley D. and Paul Pond, all of Dover. Interment was in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Beasley, Sterling R. Salem, N.J. Died Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at age 71. He was employed by Martell Construction Co., Penns Grove, N.J., for many years. He ended his career at Oceanview Trailer Sales, in 1991. Survived locally by a sister, Beatrice Phillips of Camden. Services were Saturday, July 21 at Woodside Funeral Home, Salem, N.J. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem, N.J.
Brereton, Florence `Flo' Milford Died Saturday, July 14, 2001 at age 90. She managed Brereton Pharmacy in Milford, which she and her husband owned from 1934-1967. She also worked at H.S. Saunders Jewlers in Milford from 1967-1988, when she retired. Services were Thursday, July 19 at Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milford.
Hill, Josephine Louise Smyrna Died Saturday, July 21, 2001 at age 72. She worked for the family farm with her husband. Survived locally by a sister, Patricia Thorpe of Hartly. McNamara, Mary A. Wilmington Died Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at age 82. She worked as a Visiting Nurse in New Castle County for several years, then became the nurse at the Lore School in Wilmington, where she worked until retirement. Survived locally by two sons, Albert J. and Edward R. McNamara of Dover. Services were on Saturday, July 14 at St. Jude's Church, Five Points, Lewes. Burial was private at St. Joseph's Cemetery on the Brandywine, Greenville.
Passwaters, Ellison George Jr. Stanton. Died Friday, July 20, 2001 at age 44. He was employed by the Seacoast Cab Company. Survived locally by a sister, Diane Monico of Dover. Services will be private.
Richardson, James W. Delmar. Died Friday, July 13, 2001 at age 76. He retired from the Army as a sergeant first class (E-7) in 1968. Survived locally by a stepson, Greg Litten of Felton. Services were Monday, July 16 at Short Funeral Home, Delmar. Burial was Tuesday, July 24 in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Semans, Mary Kathryn `Kathy' Wye Mills, Md. Died Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at age 59. Homemaker. Survived locally by a sister, Ruth Bowman of Marydel. Services were Saturday, July 14 at Ridgely United Methodist Church. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park Inc., Easton.
Sisson, Marvin Milford Died Sunday, July 15, 2001 at age 76. He was supervisor of building and grounds for the Milford School District. He also worked at Killens Pond State Park, retiring in 1996. Services were Wednesday, July 18 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford. Burial was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, near Millsboro.
Walker, Margaret Shiles Smyrna Died Monday, July 9, 2001 at age 90. Services were Friday, July 13 at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
West, James B. II Milford. Died Thursday, July 12, 2001 at age 78. He worked for Steiners and Co. as a supervisor, retiring several years ago. He was also a supervisor at King Cole in Milton for 15 years, retiring in 1986. Services were Sunday, July 15 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford. Burial was in Slaughter Neck United Methodist Church Cemetery, Milford.
