Graveside services for Daniel G. Bryant, 82, of Dover, were held Friday, Dec. 20, in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Mr. Bryant died after a short illness Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
He was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Hartly, the youngest son of the late Joseph D. and Armitta Snow Bryant.
Mr. Bryant attended Pratt School and graduated with the Caesar Rodney High School class of 1937.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Bryant was a salesman for Matthews Motors in Dover for many years, before being employed with the U.S. Postal Service. He retired in 1983 as manager for the Dover Air Force Base Post Office. After retirement, he sold portable buildings in Frederica and at Spence's Bazaar in Dover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie B. Ross; and three brothers, Howard Bryant, Alva Bryant and Clarence Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mae Neidig Bryant; a brother, Ralph Bryant of Hartly; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Lena Evelyn Mason Buckley
Remembrance services for Lena Evelyn Mason Buckley, 96, of Dover, were held Saturday, Dec. 21, at First Baptist Church, Dover. Mrs. Buckley died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born May 21, 1906, in Aurora, W.Va., daughter of the late Alvin Cline and Odessa Ellen Adams Mason.
Mrs. Buckley was a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a loving "Nana" to many children.
She was a childcare provider for 24 years and greatly enjoyed nurturing and teaching her children. Furthermore, she cherished each family member and treasured the moments spent at family gatherings. Mrs. Buckley was extremely proud of her family members' accomplishments, large or small. She loved talking with others about of all her family's successes; this was her true reward in life.
Mrs. Buckley enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, sewing, and baking. She was an avid gardener and loved baking bread filled with "special spices." Mrs. Buckley embraced each day, thus appreciating the simpler things in life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alvey Buckley, in 1961.
She is survived by three sons, Larry K. Buckley of Dover; James A. Buckley of Fallings Waters, W.Va.; Harry C. Buckley of Maugansville, W.Va.; a daughter, Edith Ellis of Texas; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Master Sgt. Robert Wesley "Robby" Burritt, U.S.A.F. (Ret.)
A Mass of Christian Burial for retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Robert Wesley "Robby" Burritt, 49, of Dover, was celebrated Saturday, Dec. 21, at St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church, Smyrna. Mr. Burritt died peacefully after a short illness Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1953, in Westfield, Mass., son of Daniel L. Burritt of Smyrna and the late Ann Hatton Burritt.
He was a 1972 graduate of Smyrna High School.
While in the USAF, Mr. Burritt served tours of duty in Alaska, South Korea, and New Hampshire. His decorations included award of the Meritorious Service Medal and four awards of the Air Force Commendation Medal. He attended the U.S. Air Force First Sergeants Academy and the Noncommissioned Officers Academy, as well as technical training as an instructor of supervisors for on-the-job-training orientation, the U.S. Air Force Supervisor Course, the course on Air Base Ground Defense, and many others.
He retired from the Air Force in 1995 after 22 years of service, and was most recently employed by the Delaware Department of Correction as a classification officer.
Family was precious to Mr. Burritt, as he demonstrated constantly through his insightfulness and compassionate acts. He also had a reputation as a prankster among family and coworkers. He was greatly loved and respected by his wife and three children, and will be terribly missed.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kim Craig Burritt; a daughter, Erin Burritt of Annapolis, Md.; twin sons, Brandon Burritt of Newark and Matthew Burritt of Dover; three brothers, William Burritt of Chestertown, Md., and Roderick Burritt and David Burritt, both of Smyrna; three sisters, Patricia Moon of Silver Spring, Md., and Theresa Reynolds and Margaret Gonzon, both of Smyrna; and four-legged friends, Sidney, Maggie, Chelsea and Abigail.

Mary Lucile Harper Cooper
Services for Mary Lucile Harper Cooper, 82, of Felton, were held Saturday, Dec. 21, in Faith Community Church, Camden. Mrs. Cooper died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born Jan. 25, 1920 in Wray, Ga., daughter of the late John D. and Ella Jowers Harper.
Mrs. Cooper was raised in Ocilla, Ga., the third of five children. Later, she moved to Columbia, S.C., where she met and married Evan Cooper of Conshohocken, Pa., on May 28, 1943. Shortly after, Mr. Cooper was shipped off to Africa where he served under Gen. George Patton in the 3rd Armored Division.
While her husband was overseas during World War II, Mrs. Cooper was a teletypist and a Red Cross home front volunteer who worked packing first-aid kits.
When Mr. Cooper returned home, the couple moved to Felton, where they opened Cooper's Used Farm Machinery in 1950. The couple worked hard at their successful business until Mr. Cooper's death in 1983.
She was a founding member of Faith Community Church of Camden, where she and her husband were loyal members for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Cooper will always be remembered for her thoughtful and loving grace, sense of humor, and her kind-hearted way with all the love and respect of her friends and family. Her memory always will be treasured by honoring the beauty of her heart, mind, and soul.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Evan Cooper Jr. of Boulder City, Nev., and John C. and Veronica Cooper of Felton; three grandchildren, Mary Ella Cooper and her fiancé, James A. Stewart, both of Camden, Marie Charlotte and Rick Kilhoffer of Dover and John and Joyce Robbins of Glen Burnie, Md.; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Marie Kilhoffer, John Robbins and Zachary Robbins.
Burial was in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Sandra Jane Eccleston
Services for Sandra Jane Eccleston, 70, of Felton, will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Eccleston died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born July 23, 1932, in Baltimore, daughter of Myrtis A. Poffel of Dover.
Mrs. Eccleston was a homemaker.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Eccleston; two sons, William "Bill" Eccleston of Baltimore and Robert "Bob" Eccleston of Baltimore County, Md.; a brother, Orville Hasenei of Virginia; and two grandchildren, Shaun and Heather.

Justo Guzman
Services for Justo Guzman, 75, of Dover, were held Friday, Dec. 20, in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover. Mr. Guzman died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
He was born Sept. 12, 1927, in Truguillo Alto, Puerto Rico, son of the late Maria Guzman. He moved to the United States in 1960.
Mr. Guzman farmed in Delaware and worked for Firestone over the years.
He was a member of Maranatha Christian Church, Dover.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Jose; and a daughter, Rosa.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Celia Guzman; five sons, Justo, Radames, Israel, Luis and Alfredo; two daughters, Gladys Guzman and Maria Wallace; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services for James T. Hare Sr., 69, of Frederica, were held Tuesday, Dec. 24, in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Mr. Hare died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at his home.
He was born in Alabama, son of the late Pearl Hicks Hare.
Mr. Hare served three years with the U.S. Marine Corps and 17 years with the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a power plant operator from the City of Dover's electric department.
Mr. Hare was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post No. 2 in Dover.
He is survived by a son, James T. Hare Jr. of Springfield, Mass.; a daughter, Sherry L. Smith of Germantown, Wis.; four grandchildren; two brothers, John Edward Hare and his wife, Carol and Morris Eugene Hare, all of Alabama; and two sisters, Barbara Ann and her husband, Frank McDonnell and Doris Ethel Fields, all of Alabama.

Richard F. Komorowki
Memorial services for Richard F. Komorowski, 68, of Greenwood, were held Friday, Dec. 13, in Bethany Church of the Brethren, Farmington. Mr. Komorowski died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in his daughter's home in Greenwood.
He was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Baltimore, son of the late Florian "Joe" and Helen Paquette Komorowski. He lived most of his life in Delaware.
Mr. Komorowski was a 1952 graduate of Greenwood High School, and served in the Delaware Army National Guard.
Mr. Komorowski worked for Tilcon Delaware Inc. of Dover for 41 years, retiring as equipment superintendent in 1991.
After retiring, he and his wife traveled in their R.V. visiting the 49 continental United States and several Canadian provinces. During their travels, Mr. Komorowski met many wonderful people and enjoyed volunteering for the National Forest Service and several state campgrounds. He also "hosted" an Idaho visitor center and an Arizona "ghost town." He volunteered for the Salvation Army in three states. He was an avid Nascar fan who loved Fords, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Harrington Lodge No. 534. Mr. Komorowski returned to Delaware in 2002.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janice Faye Komorowski; and an infant granddaughter, Caroline Komorowski.
In addition to Clara, his wife of 25 years, he is survived by four daughters, Suann Seymore and Patricia Komorowski, both of Seaford, Debra Komorowski of Greenwood and Shelly Komorowski of Smithville, Md., and a son, Richard F. Komorowski II of Laurel.
He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Linda Campbell of Seaford; three stepsons, Randall Miller and David Miller, both of Greenwood, and Steven Miller of Margate, Fla.; his brother, Edmund Komorowski of Wilmington; his sister, Sandra Messick of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and his best friends, Henry and Wanda Webb of Greenwood.

Mary C. Lyons
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary C. Lyons, 86, of Dover, was celebrated Monday, Dec. 23, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover. Mrs. Lyons died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born in Somerset, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Mary Welsh.
A longtime resident of Dover, Mrs. Lyons was a civil servant and had served as a supervisor of Supply Management Reps. at Dover Air Force base, until her retirement in 1973.
She had been a longtime member of Holy Cross Church in Dover.
Mrs. Lyons will be missed by her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Lyons, in 1991.
She is survived by a brother, Charles Welsh of Metuchen, N.J.; two sisters, Margaret A. Lutz of Brick, N.J. and Jean A. Neiderheiser of Ligonier, Pa.; and a cousin, Richard Welsh of Downington, Pa.
Burial was in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

Audria J. MacFaddin
Services for Audria J. MacFadden, 94, of Camden-Wyoming, were held Monday, Dec. 23, in the Pippin Funeral Home, Camden-Wyoming. Mrs. MacFadden died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, in the home of her son, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 9, 1908, in Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Clara Badgley Johnston.
Mrs. MacFaddin had a long career in elementary education. She moved to Delaware in 1932 from Carlisle, Ohio, with her late husband and began her teaching career in Frederica. She later moved to the Caesar Rodney School District, retiring from W.B. Simpson Elementary School in 1968.
She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, needlework and was an avid bridge player.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard MacFaddin, on April 3, 1996.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel MacFaddin of Camden-Wyoming, with whom she lived for the last eight months, and Thomas MacFaddin of Monroe, La.; a daughter, Sally Ann Davis of Woodbridge, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
