Dover, Del. - Memorial services for Brian Ford, 37, of Dover, were held Monday, June 2, in the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, Dover. Mr. Ford died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Ford was born April 18, 1971, in Salem, Ohio, son of Robert Ford and the late Linda Seevers.
He worked as a general contractor for B&T siding in Dover.
Mr. Ford loved NASCAR and was an avid fan of Dale Earnhart Jr.
He enjoyed fishing with his kids and being with friends and family at barbecues and get-togethers.
In addition to his father, Mr. Ford is survived by his wife of 12 years, Tracey Mell Ford of Dover; his children, Hunter, Megan and Hannah, all at home; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Diana Ford of Calcutta, Ohio; his mother- and father-in-law, Jonni and Huey Brogan of Felton; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Bill Swiggett of Dover; a brother-in-law, John Mell Jr. of Ithaca, N.Y.; a special aunt, Diane Maenz and her husband Ernie of Salem, Ohio; and six nephews and three nieces.

Saviust William 'Save' Robinson
Dover, Del. - Funeral services for Saviust William “Save” Robinson, 41, of Dover, were held Saturday, May 31, in First Pilgrim Baptist Church, Camden. Mr. Robinson died Friday, May 23, 2008, at home.
Mr. Robinson was born Dec. 27, 1966, son of Guy W. Robinson Sr. of Dover and Deborah L. Robinson of Raleigh, N.C., and his stepmother, Shirley E. Robinson of Dover.
He was a member of First Pilgrim Baptist Church, Camden. He received his education in Capitol School District.
Mr. Robinson loved to play cards and play the drums. He was a NASCAR racing fan; his favorite driver was Mark Martin.
He never met a stranger and was kind to anyone he came in contact with.
Mr. Robinson worked various jobs, his being with Burger King in Dover.
He will be missed by everyone he knew and loved.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his sister, Marnita Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, De’Anthony Tyrese Johns of Dover; four brothers, Guy W. Robinson Jr. of Raleigh, Nakia Brown of Dover, Tyrelle Brummell of Wilmington and Guy W. Brummell of Smyrna; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Clareesa Robinson and Cynthia and Mike Reddix, all of Dover, and Anita and Tom Anderson of Harbeson and Debbie Martinez of North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous friends.
Interment was in Whatcoat Cemetery, Dover.
James Angelo Pryor
Dover, Del. - Funeral services for James Angelo Pryor of Dover were held Thursday, May 29, in Greater Life Church of Restoration and Deliverance, Laurel. Mr. Pryor died Thursday, May 22, 2008.
Mr. Pryor was the fifth of eight children born to the late James and Sallie Pryor.
He was educated in the Washington, D.C., public schools.
A hardworking man, he served in a number of capacities, including his own courier company that served the Washington Times.
Mr. Pryor was a member of Face to Faith Ministries in Easton, Md.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Sullivan.
Mr. Pryor is survived by his wife, Patricia Hughes Pryor of Dover; three sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Tennille, and Marcus and Joseph; two brothers and their wives, Warren and Edna Pryor of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Abraham and Ruth Pryor of King George, Va.; and three sisters, Sallie Hush of Duluth. Ga., Madinna P. Johnson of Hebron, Md., and Rosa Lee Hicks of Salisbury, Md.
Interment was in Whatcoat United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dover.
Charles Mark Zimmerman
Dover, Del. - Friends of Charles Mark Zimmerman, 53, of Dover, may call on the family between 6 and 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover. Mr. Zimmerman died Saturday May 31, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Zimmerman was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Dover, son of Ernest and Margaret Dollay Zimmerman.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1973 and spent his lifetime working on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, basketball, time with his family and his dog, Harley.
He was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Dover.
Mr. Zimmerman was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Jacob Zimmerman Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia L. Zimmerman; three sons, Jason Zimmerman of Kamuela, Hawaii, and Jonathan Zimmerman and Shawn Zimmerman, both of Dover; a daughter, Kristol Zimmerman of Dover; and a sister, Elizabeth Zimmerman of Kamuela.
A private interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover, is planned.
Thomas E. Doby
Dover, Del. - Memorial services for Thomas E. Doby, 54, of Dover, were held Thursday, May 29, in Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Mr. Doby died Sunday, May 25, 2008, in Christiana Care-Christiana Medical Center, Newark.
Mr. Doby was born April 27, 1954, in Baltimore, son of the late Casper and Edna Wahl Hendricks.
He moved to the Dover area from Baltimore when he was 18 years old. He worked a welder at Metal Masters for 30 years.
Mr. Doby was a Baltimore sports fan of the Ravens and Orioles, and was also a NASCAR fan.
He enjoyed cooking.
Mr. Doby is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cheryl Doby of Dover; three daughters, Patricia Lynn Lake and Brittany Doby, both of Dover, and Peggy Lupton of Maryland; two brothers, Daniel Hendricks of Hagerstown, Md., and Casper Hendricks of Baltimore; three sisters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Albert Spencer of Harrington, Patricia and William Schoff of Baltimore, and Angel and Billy Ricketts of Chestertown, Md.; a brother-in-law, Matthew Beaumont; and a grandson, Trent Rhinehardt of Dover.

Hildegard Burch
Cheswold, Del. - Hildegard Burch, 85, of Hainesport Twp., N.J., formerly of Cheswold, died Friday, May 9, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Burch was born in Austria.
She was a registered nurse during World War II and at Mount Holly, N.J. Memorial Hospital. She also worked in a store at the Cherry Hill Mall called Mr. Dunderbaks.
She loved to travel with her husband to Europe. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
Mrs. Burch was preceded in death by her first husband, Staff Sgt. Harald Hannum, of injuries sustained during the war.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Burch; their children and spouses: Marie and Joe Guera, Laura and David Orkin, Robert and Karol Burch, and Carol and Alan Repoley; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; her extended family, Sue R. Urian and John, Kathy, Edward, Susan and their families.
There were no services held.
Interment will be held in the Mount Holly Cemetery at a later date.
Richard Eugene "Pee Wee" Baynard
Dover, Del. - Funeral services for Richard Eugene “Pee Wee” Baynard, 66, of Dover, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 6, in the Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover, where friends may call beginning two hours earlier. Mr. Baynard died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Baynard was born in Harrington, the son of the late Paul and Florence Baynard.
He was a kind, loving person and always willing to help. He had a great love of horses, which continued even after he became ill. He also loved to play cards.
Mr. Baynard’s favorite sports team was the Washington Redskins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Faye Reed; and a brother, Paul Baynard Jr.
Mr. Baynard is survived by four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen and Benjamin Washington of Dover, Betty Jarrett of Harrington, Joann Baynard of Newark and Jewett and Donald Hitchens of New Castle; two brothers and their wives, Alfred and Micky Baynard of Harrington and Charles and Ruth Ann Baynard of Dover; a special stepdaughter, Alice Boggs of Viola; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.
Interment will be private.
Sara Elizabeth 'Betty' Jenson
Dover, Del. - Funeral services for Sara Elizabeth “Betty” Jensen, 88, of Dover, formerly of Milford, were held Tuesday, June 3, in the Lofland Funeral Home, Milford. Mrs. Jensen died Friday, May 30, 2008, in Capitol Healthcare, Dover.
Mrs. Jensen was born in Milford, daughter of the late George and Lena Macklin Manlove.
She was a homemaker.
Through the years, Mrs. Jensen had many hobbies and activities.
She was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford, and a member of the Milford Senior Center, where she sang in the choir and played a kazoo in the band entertaining in hospitals and nursing homes in the area.
Mrs. Jensen participated in the Governor’s Walk for seniors in Rehoboth Beach for several years. She did some gardening, loved to ride her bike, took up knitting and learned to cane chairs. She belonged to the neighborhood “coffee clatch” and played cards with her friends every week.
She volunteered at the Blood Bank of Dover and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Blue Hen Post No. 6483 of Milford.
Mrs. Jensen collected shells and stones, pennies, music boxes and Delaware items. She also worked the elections.
In recent years, she worked with the police department to get a Neighborhood Watch started in her area of town. She was very involved with that organization for quite a few years.
Mrs. Jensen loved to walk with her “Big Stick” and continued to do so up until the very end. She would spend most of her day walking all over town. She would pick up newspapers for people and lay them on their porch where they could get them easily. On trash day, she would put trash cans back where they belonged as well.
She was always doing for others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Neils Jensen in 1987; two sisters, Jeanette Van Buren Frazer and Peggy Anstine Bennett; five brothers, James E. Manlove, Milton C. Manlove, John P. Manlove, William Gordon Manlove, George Manlove; her twin brother, Theodore R. Manlove; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jensen is survived by her daughter, Joan Theodora Duphily of Dover; two brothers, Benjamin Manlove of California and LeRoy Manlove, of Newark; three grandchildren, Crystal Duphily and her fiancé, Chad Surface, and Dionne Duphily, both of Dover, and Darryl Duphily DuBre and his wife Sue DuBre of Lewes; and three great-granddaughters, Allison and Brittney Wass and Quinn DuBre.
Interment was Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.

Paul A. Harmon
Dover, Del. - Funeral services for Paul A. Harmon, 46, of Dover, were held Friday, May 30, in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, Dover. Mr. Harmon died Monday, May 26, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Harmon was born Jan. 21, 1962, in Logan County, W.Va., son of Laura Crowder Harmon Lewis, now of Dover, and the late Shirley Edward Harmon.
Following military service in the U.S. Navy, he entered the surveying field. He had most recently worked as an inspector for Century Engineering in Dover.
Mr. Harmon was a member of Dover Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 1903. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends, and all holidays.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley; his stepfather, Max Lewis of Dover; four stepsons, Christopher, Ryan, Tyler and Adam Kotzian; two sisters, Vicky Brodeur of Dublin, Va., and Tracy Perez of Riverside, Calif.; and nine nieces and nephews, Laura Welser, April, Amber and Thomas Brodeur, Brittany, Scott and Kelsey Lewis, and Andrew and Jenna Kaiser.
Interment was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Lucile L. Burns
Marydel, Del. - Lucille L. Burns, 69, of Marydel, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Burns was born May 11, 1939, in Augusta, Maine, daughter of the late Charles and Lucy Cote Bell.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Reny; and five brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by her companion, John K. Spencer; three sons, Randal A. Reny and Ronald J. Reny, both of Maryland, and Robert J. Reny of Dover; a daughter, Renee A. Lipsky of Hartly; two brothers and their wives, Robert and Sue Bell of Windsor, Maine, and Phillip and Theresa Bell of Augusta; two sisters, Gertrude Sanford of Augusta and Annie Geroux of Chelsea, Maine; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services and interment were private.
