Services for Fletcher D. Russell, 55, of Magnolia will be held at noon Wednesday, June 16, at Blanco Faith Community Church, Clayton, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. William Ward will officiate. Mr. Russell died of a heart attack Thursday, June 10, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Russell was born June 28, 1948, in Wilmington.
He was a mechanic for James Walls.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Miller; his stepfather, Harvey Miller; and a brother, Gerald Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Russell; a son, Jorden Falden of North Carolina; two daughters, Nicole Wright and Avis Falden, both of Smyrna; two brothers, the Rev. Raymond H. Russell of Clayton and Robert Russell of Florida; and two sisters, Barbara Berry of Dover and Sharon Russell of Wilmington.

Services for Nicholas James Santangelo, 38, of Dover were held Friday, June 11, at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin, N.J. Mr. Santangelo died suddenly Saturday, June 5, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Santangelo was born in Newark, N.J., son to James and June Santangelo.
He lived in Vernon Township, N.J., before moving to Dover 10 years ago, where he worked as a laborer for a Delaware road construction company and as a cook for various restaurants. He was a former parishioner of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church in Stockholm, N.J.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Santangelo is survived by a sister, Lisa Colyer of Vernon Township; two brothers, Bob Santangelo of Marydel and David Jurski of Arizona; two daughters, Nichelle J. Santangelo of Dover and Tiffany Benazet of New Jersey; his fiancée, Helen Benazet of Dover; and a granddaughter, Destini Benazet of New Jersey.

Linda Ann Stevens
Memorial services for Linda Ann Stevens, 42, of Lakeworth, Fla., formerly of Dover, were held Tuesday, June 15, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, Dover. Ms. Stevens died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in her Florida home.
Ms. Stevens was born Aug. 17, 1961, in Kodiak, Alaska, daughter of Edward and Patricia Triplett Fizette of Dover.
She was a freelance dental hygienist. She enjoyed staying home with her cats, Max, Ninja and Mika.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Stevens is survived by three brothers, James Randle and Michael Randle, both of Tacoma, Wash., John Randle and his wife Connie of Dale City, Va.; and four special aunts and an uncle, Georgina Greaves of Puyallup, Wash., Olga Olson of Tacoma, Sandra Raeder of Tucson, Ariz., and Robert Williams of Tacoma.
Burial will be held Wednesday, June 16, at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
Arthur J. Valdesere Sr.
Private services were held recently for Arthur J. Valdesere Sr., 79, of Dover. Mr. Valdesere died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Valdesere was born April 1, 1925, in Goldsboro, Md., son of the late Robert J. and Pearl Hutson Valdesere.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Valdesere retired in 1989 after 29 years with the Delaware State Police as head of supplies.
He loved hunting and fishing, and was fond of NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. He also loved watching his son Art Jr., race on Saturday nights at the local dirt tracks. He enjoyed being with family and friends for get-togethers.
Mr. Valdesere was a life member of the International Model Power Boat Association and the North American Model Power Boat Association, which was his favorite hobby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois, in 1991; a son, John; and a grandson, Ryan.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Peggy Valdesere of Felton, Art Jr. and Linda Valdesere of Dover, and David Valdesere of Lincoln; a brother, Robert Valdesere of Felton; two sisters, Mary Cristo of Viola and Margaret Pairie of Dover; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Shirley Gamble Davis
Services for Shirley Gamble Davis, 78, of Dover were held Saturday, April 10, at Woodside UMC, Woodside. Mrs. Davis died Monday, April 5, 2004, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Davis was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was a dedicated wife, loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joel William Davis Sr. of Dover; five children, Shelia Jo Davis of North Carolina, Joel William Davis Jr. of Dover, Johnny Wayne Davis of Pennsylvania, Deborah Lee Davis of Colorado and Susan Rowena Davis of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Virginia Bridges Dellinger
Funeral services for Virginia Bridges Dellinger, 81, of Milford, were held Saturday, March 27, at the Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford. Mrs. Dellinger died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Dellinger was a court clerk for the state of Delaware, retiring in 1985.
She played in a weekly bridge club and enjoyed square dancing and bowling.
Mrs. Dellinger was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and of its United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William P. Dellinger; and a son, William P. Dellinger Jr.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sally and Ronnie Keller of Lake Butler, Fla., and Judy and Russell Witman of Milford; two sons and their wives, Stephen and Nancy Dellinger of Harrington and Michael and Diane Dellinger of Dover; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Abby.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Kalinowski Domanski, 83, of Dover, formerly of New Castle, was celebrated Tuesday, April 13, at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, New Castle. Mrs. Domanski died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover.
Mrs. Domanski was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Joseph and Staninslawa Janos Kalinowski.
A talented homemaker and gardener, she devoted her life to caring for her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Domanski, in 1982.
She is survived by five children, Paul J. Domanski of Townsend, Louise A. Dawson of Hockessin, Joseph Domanski of Ocean View, Frank E. Domanski of Viola and Michael A. Domanski of Port Deposit, Md.
She also is survived by three sisters, Edna Bredryzcki of Wilmington, Regina Miller of Marshallton and Tessie Steele of New Castle; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Burial was in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
Catherine E. Foust
Private funeral services for Catherine E. Foust, 88, of Dover are scheduled to be held in the near future. Mrs. Foust died Saturday, April 10, 2004, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Johnstown, Pa., daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Rach Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Foust, and a grandson, Brent A. Hastings.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Robert and Betty Henry of Dover; two grandchildren, Brenda Redlich of Dover and Todd Hastings of Camden; four great-grandchildren David Hiser, Destiny Hiser, Hannah Hastings and Tara Redlich; and a sister and brother, Gladys Moore and Donald Moore of Johnstown.

Raymond H. Ginn Sr.
Services for Raymond H. Ginn Sr., 76, of Dover, formerly of Middletown, were held Saturday, April 10, at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle. Mr. Ginn died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Mr. Ginn was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Middletown, son of the late James and Linda Ginn.
He retired from American Hoechst in 1987.
After retirement, he and his wife traveled the United States in their RV, settling in Frostproof, Fla., for 16 years.
Mr. Ginn enjoyed golf and watching baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley Farmer of Newark, Linda and Bob Tambellini of Bear and Marie and Larry Cole of Locust Grove, Va.; and two sons and their wives, Raymond H. Jr. and Linda Ginn of Smyrna and James and Terry Ginn of Middletown.
He also is survived by a brother, James Culmer Ginn III of Middletown; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three nephews.
Burial was in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
George L. Johnson
Funeral services for George L. Johnson, 67, of Dover will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Dr. Johnson died suddenly on Good Friday, April 9, 2004.
Dr. Johnson was an associate professor at Delaware State University.
He received his master’s degree and doctorate in social work from the University of Pittsburgh and had taught in the social work department of Delaware State University since 1989. At the time of his death, he was on sabbatical leave to complete a book, More than African and American.
His greatest joys were his family, his relationship with God, teaching, writing, painting and helping others. He was a wonderful husband and father with a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Nelle Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; two sons, George of Fairfax, Va., and Christopher of Baltimore; a stepson, Douglas Gowan of Dover; two daughters, Cynthia of Los Angeles and Ayana of Dover; four grandchildren; a brother, Andrew of Honolulu; and his sister, Mary of Philadelphia.
