Memorial services for Mary V. Llewellyn, 46, of Dover, formerly of Smyrna, were held Sunday, March 6, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna. Miss Llewellyn died Thursday, March 3, 2005, in her home.
Miss Llewellyn was born Nov. 11, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of the late Edward Craig and Margaret Howe Donahue.
She had worked as a receptionist for the state of Delaware facilities management division in Dover for the past several years.
Miss Llewellyn enjoyed reading and participating in volunteer work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Davies.
She is survived by a daughter, Sarah L. Llewellyn of Newark; a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Paul Godwin of Garland, Texas; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Michael and Claudia Donahue of Skandia, Mich., Edward Donahue of Dover and David and Suzanne Davies of Ishpeming, Mich.; and two dear friends, Pamela Meek of Smyrna and Robert Litz of Dover.
Allan R. Lorup, 73, of Dover, formerly of Glenolden, Pa., passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Christiana Hospital, Newark.
Mr. Lorup was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Ridley Park, Pa., son of the late Carl and Tove Lorup.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Hank, DD-702. He later served as chief of police in Glenolden, retiring in 1972 after 18 years of service.
Mr. Lorup enjoyed bow hunting and fishing. He also loved the Pennsylvania mountains.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Carl Lorup.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, M. Ruth Biller Lorup of Dover; two daughters and their husbands, Beverly and Anthony DiSciascio of Mt. Royal, N.J. and Carol and Keith Landis of Kutztown, Pa.; and a son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Jeanne Lorup of Greenhills, Pa.
Mr. Lorup also is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Cathie Lorup of Macungie, Pa.; seven grandchildren, John DiSciascio, Valerie DiSciascio, Stephanie DiSciascio, Lindsey DiSciascio, Alexandra DiSciascio, Micah Landis and Alyson Landis; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Torbert Funeral Chapel, Dover.
A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date in Pennsylvania.
Virginia E. Lough
Virginia E. Lough, 86, of Dover died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Westminster Retirement Village Health Center, Dover.
Mrs. Lough was born June 10, 1918, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles Bernard and Myrrl Covert Moeller.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and classical music.
Mrs. Lough was past president of the Ramsey, N.J. library board. She also was a member of the Ramsey First Presbyterian Church and was a past elder in the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Lough, in 1992; and three brothers.
Mrs. Lough is survived by three daughters, Susan Kiley of Elkton, Md., Christine Hawker of Monroe, La., and Judith McNamire of Dover; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date.

Elsie Sue McGinnis
Funeral services for Elsie Sue McGinnis, 90, of Blackbird will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call starting one hour before. Mrs. McGinnis died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Green Valley Pavilion, where she had lived for the past three years.
Mrs. McGinnis was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Virginia, daughter of the late Anderson and Ella Sue Wallace.
She was a homemaker and self-employed beautician who enjoyed reading her Bible.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGinnis was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; a son, Donald; and a son-in-law, William “Bill” DeLong.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris DeLong of Blackbird; three brothers, Dennis Wallace and twins Will Wallace and Wiley Wallace, all of Virginia; a sister, Elizabeth of W.Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Claire M. Malie, 92, of Camden was celebrated Monday, March 7, in Church of the Holy Cross, Dover. Mrs. Malie died Thursday, March 3, 2005, in Silver Lake Center, Dover.
Mrs. Malie was born Dec. 9, 1912, in Shamokin, Pa., daughter of the late Michael and Alicia Donnelly O’Brien.
She enjoyed life as a homemaker, was an avid reader and loved spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Malie was a faithful and dedicated member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Dover, for 46 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Malie, on May 4, 1999.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, William and Rachel Malie of Long Beach, Miss., and Thomas and Judy Malie of Medford, N.J.; and two daughters and a son-in-law, Louise Malie of Bardstown, Ky., and Janet and Theodore Moore of Dover.
Mrs. Malie also is survived by two sisters, Marion Boyle of Glenolden, Pa., and Eleanor Troutman of Coal Township, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Adam Moore and Holly Moore, both of Dover, Lori Elgie of Dallas, Ga., and Rick Brizendine of Ashland City, Tenn.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Antonia Elvira Mazas, 93, of Magnolia were held Monday, March 7, in Tobert Funeral Chapel South, Dover. Ms. Mazas died Thursday, March 3, 2005, in Silver Lake Nursing Home, Dover.
Ms. Mazas was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Zaragoza, Spain, daughter of the late Eusebio Mazas and Luisa Gil. She moved to the United States in 1986.
She was a homemaker.
Ms. Mazas loved spending time with her family and enjoyed visiting Spain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Felix Garcia.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Paul Browning of Magnolia; a son and daughter-in-law, Felix A. Garcia and Maria Jesus Mendia of Madrid, Spain; five grandchildren and their spouses; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Ricky Eugene Miller, 46, of Dover were held Friday, March 4, in Calvary Assembly of God Church, Dover. Mr. Miller died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark.
Mr. Miller was born June 7, 1958, in Jeannette, Pa., son of Ralph E. Sr. and Arline J. Miller of Grapeville, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1976 to 1980, and later worked as a maintenance supervisor for Clean Earth of New Castle, a soil-remediation company.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, backgammon and spades, and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a sincere, trustworthy, faithful, compassionate man with a heart of gold.
Mr. Miller attended the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover, where he was a volunteer at the annual Thanksgiving feast. He served as vice president of the Great Field Sportsman Club, was a member of the Arlington Sportsman Club and volunteered as a booster parent for the Caesar Rodney High School cheerleading squad.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Norma Regina Miller of Dover; a son, Adam A. Schultz, and a daughter, Kelly A. Schultz, both of the family home; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Lawrence S. and Donelle Miller of Marydel, Jeff A. and Toni Miller of Greensburg, Pa., Ralph Eugene “Buzzy” Miller of Grapeville and Timothy John Miller of Marydel; many nieces and nephews; and his two faithful companions, Shadow and Sassy.
