Funeral services for Walter H. Kubarsky Jr., 50, of Wyoming, were held Monday, June 20, in the Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming. Mr. Kubarsky died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Kubarsky was born Nov. 14, 1954, in Dover and graduated from Dover High School in 1973.
He had worked for Westside Car Wash and most recently at Power Plus as an electrician.
He is survived by his seven closest friends, Dan Bittner, Becky Manahan, Bobby Tudor, Jerry Jacobs, Vic Giangrant and Gary Lawson, all of Dover, and Mike Delaney of Morristown, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Tyko F. Lehto, 90, of Dover, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Church of the Holy Cross, Dover. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, Inc., 1175 S. State St., Dover. Mr. Lehto died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at his home with is family present.
Mr. Lehto was born in Quincy, Mass., son of the late Walter and Hilma Lehto.
He and his family moved to Dover in 1964, where he worked for the General Foods Corporation for more than 40 years, retiring in 1980.
Mr. Lehto was active in community affairs and was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge No. 1903, Dover, the Lions Club of Dover, Moose Lodge No. 534 of Harrington and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4182 of Dover. He was a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Cartwright Assembly and a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Cross.
He also was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed dancing, working crossword puzzles and playing cribbage.
Mr. Lehto’s friendly and charitable nature will be missed by both family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lehto was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Boyd Lehto, who died in 1981 and by his second wife, Mary Gruwell Lehto, who died in 1989.
Mr. Lehto is survived by his wife, Nancy Whitsett Lehto of Dover, to whom he was married more than 15 years; three sons, Edmund J. Lehto of Hartly, Frederick H. Lehto of Dover and David Lehto of Newberry Park, Calif.; a daughter, Margaret Magliozzi of Summerfield, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Remembrance services for Paul Desmond Long, 75, of Felton, were held Monday, June 22, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Dover. Mr. Long died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at his sister’s home in Dover, with his family present.
Mr. Long was born April 22, 1931, in Renovo, Pa., son of the late Robert and Mary Elizabeth Wagner Long.
He was a 17-year veteran of the United States Air Force, having served as a security policeman. During his military career, Mr. Long served during both the Korean and Vietnam wars and at Lackland Air Force Base and Biggs AFB, both in Texas; Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; Forbes AFB, Kansas; Whiteman AFB, Mo.; and Westover AFB, Mass.
He was a security guard with Perdue Farms in Georgetown for 20 years and also worked at Richardson & Robbins in Dover and Draper King Cole in Millsboro. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and the Walter L. Fox American Legion Post No. 2 in Dover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his six brothers.
Mr. Long is survived by two sisters, his twin, Pauline Getz and her husband Charles of Dover, and Janet Graw of Renovo; a sister-in-law, Mildred Long of Mill Hall, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews from Delaware, Pennsylvania and Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sherman R. Lynch, 68, of Dover, was celebrated Friday, June 17, at the Church of the Holy Cross Dover. Mr. Lynch died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Lynch was born Nov. 26, 1935, in Gallitzin, Pa., to the late Joseph and Esther Margaret Conrad Lynch.
He was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross and a life member of the Cheswold Fire Company. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in August 1962, then held a number of civil service positions at Dover Air Force Base, retiring as a warehouse supervisor. After his retirement he worked as a truck driver for Delaware Lumber, now Delaware Building Supply, for seven years, until his illness caused his retirement. His co-workers there affectionately called him “Pop-Pop.”
Mr. Lynch loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, crabbing and instilled in his children and grandchildren that same love. He was a hands-on dad and granddad, always available to their needs or creating a new game or toy for them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Pius, and Samuel; and three sisters Mary Fraundofer, Rita Cherrico and Philena Patterson, all of Cambria County, Pa.
Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife of 45 years, Geraldine Elaine Busch Lynch of Dover; four children, Kevin Lynch and his wife Vicki of Sandtown, Elaine Wooleyhand of Dover, Christopher Lynch and his wife Lois of Dover and Lisa Loftin and her husband Jack of Camden; two brothers, George Lynch and Regis Lynch, both of Pennsylvania; five sisters, Thelma Bongartz, Dorothy Karlheim, Rose Barr, Gloria Lynch and Martha Lynch, all of Pennsylvania; five grandsons; five granddaughters; four step grandchildren; and multiple nieces, nephews and their families.
Funeral services for Sarah Ann Miller, 52, of Dover, will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the former home of Ivan W. Miller, 794 Rose Valley School Road, Dover. Henry E. Yoder will officiate. Mrs. Miller died Saturday, June 18, 2005, in her home.
Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 4, 1952, in Dover, daughter of Verna Yoder Miller of Dover and the late Maniluis Miller.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, William Miller; a son and daughter-in-law, Eli and Fannie Mae Miller; three daughters and a son-in-law, Verna Mae and Aden Miller, Martha Miller and Magdalena Miller; four grandchildren; two sisters; and five brothers.
Interment will be in the Amish Cemetery, Dover, with a reception to follow.

Sidney C. Morris Sr.
Memorial services for Sidney C. Morris Sr., 69, of Camden were held Friday, June 17 at Eagle Wings Church of God. Mr. Morris died following a long and courageous battle of lung cancer Thursday, June 9, 2005, in his home, peacefully in his sleep.
Mr. Morris was born July 8, 1935, in Camden, son of the late Carl and Jeanette Morris.
He was a four-year veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed working on cars, tinkering with lawn mowers and car rides with his three dogs.
Mr. Morris is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Jean Morris of North Carolina; his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Charlie Rock of Dover; four sons and their wives, Sidney C. Jr. and Cynthia Morris of Camden, Dale and Linda Morris of Roanoke, Ind., Charles and Twila Morris of Fort Wayne, Ind., and John and Sherry Morris of Cashton, Wis., eight grandchildren, Megan and Holly Morris of Felton, Stefanie and Daniel Edwards of Alabama; Samuel Morris of Roanoke, Trisha and Jeff Green and Lydia Morris, all of Fort Wayne, and Christopher and Tony Morris of Cashton; two great-grandchildren, Adele and Emmah Green of Fort Wayne; and a loving companion, Laura Boney.

Roger W. Kirchmer Murray Sr.
Funeral services for Roger W. Kirchmer Murray Sr., 60, of Dover, were held Thursday, June 16, in the Christ Episcopal Church, Sag Harbor, N.Y. Mr. Murray died Saturday, June 10, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Murray was born Dec. 16, 1944, in Southampton, N.Y., to Marie Elizabeth Humblet Kirchmer and the late Willard John Kirchmer.
He was the owner of Bridgehampton Shell Gas Station, a constable for Southampton Town, a heavy equipment operator for the highway department, worked at the land fill in Southampton and was a vegetable farmer with Bridgehampton farmer Ed Zebrowski. He also was a past fire chief with the Bridgehampton Volunteer Fire Company.
Mr. Murray enjoyed fishing, clamming, scalloping, duck hunting, and was a modified race care driver. He moved to Dover from Bridgehampton six years ago.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Murray is survived by his wife, Sandra Peters Murray of Dover; a son, Roger W. Murray Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; three daughters, Leslie Lee Murray of Sag Harbor, Stephanie Murray Brabant of Spring, N.Y. and April Lynn Murray of Bridgehampton; a sister, Diane Guyer of Afton, Va.; and five grandchildren, Cassandra Marie Spencer, Isabelle Claire Murray, Olivia Rose Brabant, Spencer Illarion Murray and Alyssa Jean Brabant.

Funeral services for Naomi Jean Maclary Pepper, 75, of Dover, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call beginning one hour earlier. Visitation hours will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pepper died Friday, June 17, 2005, in her home with her family at her side.
Mrs. Pepper was born April 18, 1930, in Leipsic, daughter of the late William Henry and Florence Handsberry Maclary.
She worked at Dover High School in the cafeteria, then in the Kent County Receiver of Taxes office as a clerk.
Mrs. Pepper was a member of Roby United Methodist Church and was active in Sunday school. Recently, she had been attending Grace Presbyterian Church in Dover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold D. Pepper, in 1997; and a sister, Evelyn Reynolds.
Mrs. Pepper is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John H. “Jack” and Connie A. Pepper of Townsend; three daughters and their husbands, Yvonne J. and Philip A. Messina Jr. of Camden, Brenda S. and Arnet E. Krammes of Wilmington and Deborah L. and Martin J. Anderson III of Dover; three sisters, Thelma Pardee, Ruth Pepper and Marian Yerkie, all of Dover; six grandchildren, Chris Messina and his wife, Mari, Valerie J. Messina, Jason F. Anderson, Jolene D. Anderson, Laura E. Pepper and Clay J.H. Pepper; and a great-grandson, Matthew S. Messina.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or Delaware Hospice Inc.
