Funeral services for Mildred M. Stetz, 80, of Felton, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier. Mrs. Stetz died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Stetz was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Albertville, Ala., daughter of the late John and Alma Cook Smith.
She worked as a press operator for Tidewater Publishing in Centreville, Md., before retiring.
Mrs. Stetz filled and enjoyed her retirement with family and friends, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Paul Stetz, on Nov. 5, 1998; and two sons, Richard Atwood in 1950 and Charles Atwood in 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Bradley of Felton; a brother, Chester Smith of Clemson, S.C.; a sister, Edna Bright of Albertville, Ala; four granddaughters, June Bilbrough of Felton, Donna Mendes of Wyoming, and Jennifer Blann and Jennell Blann, both of Queenstown, Md.; two grandsons, Paul Bradley of Felton and James Blann of Queenstown; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services for Shirley Lord Taylor, 61, of Felton, were held Monday, Dec. 26, in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home P.A., Greensboro, Md. Mrs. Taylor died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in Memorial Hospital at Easton, Easton, Md.
Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 16, 1944, in Dover, daughter of the late Benn and Esther Louise Knight Simpson.
She attended North Caroline High School, Denton, Md., and was a graduate of the Dover Beauty School.
Mrs. Taylor owned and operated Shirl’s Curls in Greensboro, Md., for more than 30 years. After retiring from her shop, she worked for Sand Hill Farms of Greensboro and the Greensboro Moose Lodge.
She was a member of the Millington, Md., Moose Lodge, with an association to the Greensboro Moose Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Teddy” Taylor, on Dec. 19, 1997.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kristy Lord and her companion, Robert Harrison, both of Hartly, and John and Sherry Watson of Saginaw, Texas; two stepdaughters, Karen Barr of Kansas and Sherry Taylor of Kenton; two brothers, Ben Simpson III of Greensboro and John Simpson of Ridgely, Md.; a sister, Beverly Jopp of Harrington; a dear friend, Fred Wothers of Greensboro; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Antonio Francisco Barbosa, 61, of Dover, will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 10, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Barbosa died Monday Dec. 5, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Barbosa was born Jan. 2, 1944, in Terceira, the Azores.
He worked as a machine operator for Kraft Foods in Dover for the last seven years and had previously worked in sales for Dover Hardware.
Mr. Barbosa was an avid musician and also taught the guitar.
He played in the country bands, Maryann and the Playboys, Echo Canyon and had most recently played with Powder Mill.
Mr. Barbosa enjoyed playing and singing Freddie Fender tunes and attended Faith Baptist Church near Kenton.
He is survived by his wife, Mazie Garlic Barbosa; a daughter, Toni Barbosa of Felton; a sister, Helena Rebelo of Lisbon, Portugal; his grandmother, Maria Rebelo of the Azores; and two grandsons, Davin and Dominick Barbosa Eacho, both of Felton.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way Suite 205 New Castle, DE 19720.
Patricia Anne Bell
Funeral services for Patricia Anne Bell, 70, of Dover, were held Friday, Dec. 2, in Wesley United Methodist Church, Dover. Mrs. Bell died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Bell was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Fletcher and Elva Sills Nelson.
She had worked for the Department of Public Instruction for 28 years as an executive secretary, retiring in 1991.
Mrs. Bell enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and belonged to the Dover YMCA.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was in charge of the donation counters. She was also a member of Circle 3.
Mrs. Bell is survived by Frederick A. Bell, her husband of 51 years; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Christina Brown Bell of Humarock, Mass. and Stephen F. Bell of Frederica; a grandson, Stephen F. Bell Jr. of Newark; a brother-in-law, David H. Bell of Dover; and a nephew, David H. Bell Jr. of Dover.
Arrangements were by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover.
Interment was in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.

Sarah Annie Benson
Funeral services for Sarah Annie Benson, 70, of Dover, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, in the M.F. Chase Unity Church, Star Hill. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover. Ms. Benson died of cancer Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in her daughter’s home in Dover.
Ms. Benson was born Aug. 13, 1935, daughter of the late George Harmon and Elsie Benson.
She attended public schools in Harrington. She worked at Perdue in Milford, until retiring five years ago.
Ms. Benson was a faithful member of MF Chase Church in Star Hill, where she sang in the choir and served on the usher board.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five aunts, Rachel Benson, Hilda Benson, Evelyn Benson, Virginia Benson and Sadie Benson; and three uncles, William Benson, Clarence Benson and Howard Benson.
Ms. Benson is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Jacalyn Duffy of Lewes, Brenda and Ronald Shields of Dover and Theresa Benson of Milford; a son, Joseph Benson of Dover; 17 grandchildren, Arnell Benson, Arnissa Duffy, Katrina Duffy, Carlos Benson, Pednika White, Pedro White Jr., Pablo White, Nehemiah White, Rhonda Shields, Tony Benson, Charles Pierre, Tyrone Pierre, Angela Pierre, Louis Stanley, Michael Stanley, Dontrelle Shields and Ronald Shields Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Katyra, Ja’Shon, Lamoni, Carlos Jr., Trinity and Tony Jr.; a special nephew, Pastor Samuel Benson of Virginia; a special longtime friend, Shirley Pettyjohn of Harrington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Francis Kenneth Bergold, 77, of Felton, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7. Mr. Bergold died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mr. Bergold was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Mineola, Long Island, N.Y., son of the late Frank and Anna Feitner Bergold.
He and his wife moved to Dover in 1949 from Long Island to begin their farming business known as Byfield Farms. In 1989 he moved his farm to Felton, where he continued farming potatoes and grains until his death.
Mr. Bergold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and looked forward to his morning breakfast and socializing at the Milford Diner. He also loved creating a nature trail through his woods, where he especially enjoyed watching deer and other wildlife.
He was a member of the Delaware Farm Bureau and the Delaware Potato Growers’ Association and a former member of the Elks Club of Dover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bergold in 1989; and three brothers, Joseph Bergold, Elbert Bergold and Lester Bergold.
Mr. Bergold is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Richard Black and Frances A. Bergold all of Felton; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Myrtle Bergold of Felton; two granddaughters, Jennifer Black and Michelle Bergold, both of Felton; a brother, Kenneth Bergold of Magnolia; and a loving extended family.

James A. Cammile
Funeral services for James A. Cammile, 82, of Hartly, were held Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Emmanuel AME Church, Hartly. Mr. Cammile died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, in Courtland Manor, Dover.
Mr. Cammile was born May 23, 1923, in Hartly, son of the late Freeman and Sarah E. Cammile.
He received his education from Lockwood Elementary School and Booker T. Washington School and graduated from the 12th grade.
Mr. Cammile went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge.
He worked in civil service at Dover Air Force Base until his disability retirement.
Mr. Cammile was a faithful member of Emmanuel AME Church, where he was a trustee and member of the men's choir, and was a member of St. Jones Lodge of Smyrna. He helped wherever and whenever needed, and was a faithful driver for Amish people, carrying them to work and their children to school. He loved Alvin Yoder's children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Cammile.
Mr. Cammile is survived by his dear and beloved sister, Margaret Cammile of Hartly; an aunt, Lula Watson of Philadelphia; a cousin who was like a brother, Horace Boyer; a son, a daughter; and a host of grandchildren, additional cousins and friends.
